Good to know - I'll watch out for them in the future.
So I created my own Render Preset, over-wrote the Render Hi Preset and it worked. But it is still wiping out my Canvases. If I apply the same Render Preset manually, it does not wipe out my Canvases. Why would that be?
I do not know of a way to save them without the canvas info. I ended up stripping out the canvas info in a text editor.
I have found this to be a godsend. The way that works the best for me (my buttons are on top) is I load the scene in textured mode. I then use the lowest resolution button to check everything. If I need to change poses I change it back to textured mode (my personal preference, I do all of my posing in textured mode, for me, its easier to see what I'm doing) and then simply hit the low res render mode again to work on textures and lighting. Once I am reasonable certain that things are as they should be, I bump it up to medium to check again and then I go ahead and render. This has truly made a huge difference in my workflow as far as time goes.
I'm having the same problem as Mollytabby... I can access the individual scripts in my Content Library, but double-clicking the Install Actions does nothing, and the little icons do not appear atop the main window. I am also running an iMac, the latest Pro model, with macOS High Sierra, Version 10.13.3
Still no response on this issue?
Is this the same issue that I described earlier? Hard to tell since I'm on pc and can't tell how the installs work on a mac but when I clicked the Render Throttle Install Actions button in DS on initial install, I only got text buttons on the toolbar. I found that the problem was with a folder named DAZ Studio_4.5 which contains the icons - my DS folder is named Daz Studio 4_9 so I had to move the icons there and then re-run the script. This added the buttons to the toolbar. Might be worth looking for the DAZ Studio_4.5 folder and seeing if there are render throttle icons in there.
Nope, I get nothing on the toolbar - no buttons, no text.
I've never been able to get the icons onto my tool bar. My icons appear to be the Scripts folder of my Daz library. I can't find a Daz Studio_4.5 folder when I do a folder search. That said, I've got used to working from the Render menu where the product is now listed.
This is definately by most used product. It has totally changed my workflow and cut down the time I spend on setting up and lighting in a scene. I can make a change and see the difference in seconds. It's particularly impressive when I'm using Tonal Rage. When I change a setting in Tonal Range, the viewport instantly refreshes. When I get close to a look I like, I start a mini render to check it out. I honestly couldn't do without it. Yes, it would be nice to have the one-click buttons, but I can forgive it because it's made such a huge difference to me working on an iMac.
In your Daz Studio folder you should have a folder containing the icons in something similar to:
Daz Studio 4_9\resources\images\icons
If not, I'd suggest downloading the product as a zip file (or the mac equivalent), extracting that folder and copying it to your DS folder under resources\images. After that, load DS up and run the Render Throttle !Install Script.
Ah, okay, I do see the scripts listed on the Render menu. Slightly less convenient than the icons would be, but workable. Thanks for pointing that out. Definitely better than having to locate the scripts in the Content Library.
I can find no folder named Daz Studio_4.5
I do find the three icon images in resources\images\icons
I've downloaded the file and studied the file structure and then hunted it down on my Mac. There isn't a Daz Studio_4.5 folder, but in the Applications section there is a DazStudio4 64-bit folder. This is where everything is going.
Comparing what I have in those folders to the Render Thottle zip download, I think everything has installed in the right place.
Yes, exactly what I have. And yet no buttons on the toolbar. Hopefully omnifreaker is trying to figure it out.
Looking at those screen caps, it seems that you have the icons exactly where I have them on the pc (where they do work). Sorry to see that it's not working on the mac. Here's hoping that there will be a fix for you.
Thank you @DimReaper , at least now I know everything is where it should. I can actually use Render Throttle, and it has made life a lot easier. I wouldn't be without it.
Go to Windows>Workspace>Customize, check that the toolbar is turned on.
@Fletcher you are a star! ... and I'm blushing because it was nothing to do with Render Throttle
If anyone else is having trouble, this is where I found out how to turn my toolbar on.

All right! The link that Mollytabby posted did the trick! Thank you!
One more question regarding Render Throttle: when I use one of the preview settings, soem scenes don't "renderpreview" normally. The pixels start to fly, the scene goes rendering away... and in mid course, it starts over: white shading, then grainy dots, forming a picture... then white again, ad infinitum. Ideas, anyone? 0_o
I bought Render Throttle last month on the basis of this discussion...it worked immediately, did what it was supposed to...and I like it...
However, over the period of the last month (and several Microsoft Updates later - to include 1803 Creators a few days ago), it has begun doing something strange and I wonder if others have seen this...I have tried literally everything I can think of to fix it...to make it like it was before...
The interactive render icons all work, but all three of the final render (white) icons produce a Daz3d lockup...I'm using 4.10, the latest...on Win 10 version 1803 (Op Build 17134.48)...Lenovo P51 workstation with the latest nvidia drivers for an M2200 discrete internal card...
All three white icons cause the lockup...I am using only the 3 black interactive icons now...and then the main Daz3d render for anything final...
It seems that the 3 white Render Throttle icons just won't call up the render window anymore...
Is anyone having this problem, too..?
Thanks...
No...just a freeze and the ultimate message after about 20 seconds that Daz Studio has failed and is closing...
Baffling...it worked before...I have returned to several old backups, changed compatability and uninstalled and reinstalled Render Throttle repeatedly for weeks...tried everything I can think of...both DIM and manual installs...
It's just the 3 white icons on the right that are a problem...
Any recommendations../
In the Log file is the following...after I click a white icon or use the dropdown selections for a render prior to the shutdown...I didn't copy them all but there are over 150 of the "...Debug: Open DrawSettings Pane" entries preceding what you see here...
I'm a bit lost at this point...
Thanks...

This is a look at where all the files were installed on my drive...
Maybe someone will see an aberration from their installation...
Thanks...

You beauty...! A genius...!...
It wasn't quite that, but it made me look again...because Draw Settings was open, in fact...
But I now know, after a miserable month of trouble-shooting, that Draw Settings wasn't set on IRAY...it was defaulting to Texture...
Stupid of me...
Thank you so much...
You're welcome! Glad you were able to resolve it and can now render!
Yes, thanks again...
You set me on the right track after a lot of useless effort...
Basically, the solution lies in the fact that at least one of the two viewport windows must be in Iray mode...
I'm glad I posted something here...
Thanks, DawnBlade...
I purchased this product a few weeks after release
It installed correctly with DIM, and the !InstallActions scipt (in the content library) successfully installed the icons to the UI toolbar
thereafter the product worked as intended
However there was a DIM update for this product today, so I dutifully installed it
subsequently the product no longer runs, whenever any icon is clicked or any option is chosen fron the 'Render' dropdown
I get an error message 'The 'K:/DAZ 3D/scripts/support/omnifreaker/lib/omRenderThrottleIray.dse' file could not be loaded
I checked, and this file does exist, in the required location (Drive K is my drive forDAZ3D)
I also notice that this file is the only one in the DIM package that has been updated with a date of 24.05.2018 (I use British dating convention)
all other files for this package found in my runtime folder are dated as of the original release
I tried various ways to de-install and re-install
going as far as uninstalling and deleting the package with DIM , physically checking the runtime to make sure DIM had actually done this successfully
actually deleting the .zip and .dsx file in the DIM folder
also ensuring that the omRenderThrottleIray.dse file was also removed from the 'DAZ3D/scripts (etc)' folder
deleting the package in the content Library. ie slect package and chose 'delete' from the dropdown option
closing both DAZ3D and IM, rebooting the pc
and then re-downloading the package .zip file and reinstalling with DIM
making sure all files had been correctly installed to the runtime and to the 'DAZ3D/scripts (etc)' folders
still the problem persists
I even manually installed, but all the files went to exactly the same places DIM had installed
I use a PC running Windows 7 64bit, 32Gb ram, my K: drive is a 2TB SSD
everything else in DAZ appears to be working as intended
DAZ3D doesn't appear to have any problems loading any other .dse files
I am at a loss as to how to solve this problem, and reget ever updating
I may sadly have to ask DAZ for a refund
unless somebody can suggest anything, please
