mario's cart looks so comfy.  much nicer than gadding about with my rollator.

the insurance didn't want to pay for the erollator, they wanted me to use a walker.  the bastards.

That's because rollators are considered dangerous for many.  They roll very freely, and can easily get away from some of the elderly, especially if they are not familiar with the hand brakes, or have weak grips and slow reactions.  An insurance company would consider this a high risk, so why would they give you money to get one?

nah.  they just cheap.  rollators are moslty over a 100.

my rollator has a seat.  is amazing how many dr places don't have seats outside for us waiting for our paratransit busses.
and the seat has storage for my depends and bags.  so i dont have to carry things on my shoulders.

the newer models have the handles higher up.  supposed to be better for posture.  insurance not gonna buy me an upgrade.

We have two big soccer fields right behind our back gate.  I enjoy watching some of the older kids play, they are sometimes really good.  But the Vuvuzelas are not so good, especially at 7AM.  Hasn't happened in a while, I think the local police had a word with them ...

I saw an article about the spread of baseball after WWII - Japan, Korea, some Latin American countries.  It also listed Australia, which I had not heard before.  The US big leagues have players from many of those countries (and vica versa) but I don't recall an Australian player.

Interesting.  Looking at the players with a lot of games, I sort of recall Dave Nillsson - couple of seasons with >.300 batting average, very good.  Joe Quinn was a little before my time, retiring in 1901, the same year Australia became a nation.  And my US home state was still IT.  wink
