Do any Daz figures come with Genitalia? Male and/or Female?
I've seen them on Renderotica - but not sure how well they would work.
Thanks

The base figures have not included anatomical elements since Michael 1/2. For Genesis figuers, the Name Pro bundles for adult characters (e.g. Victoria # and Michael #) generally contain the anatomical elements (one set for each figure for each generation, they don't differ between pro bundles for a given geenation).
I've checked the site and don't see any. Is there a URL you could suggest?
Thanks
You misunderstand. You have to buy a Pro Bundles of an adult DAZ Originals character and the anatomical elements will come with the Pro Bundle. You will need tpo buy one female & one male DAZ Originals Pro Bundle for the Genesis generation you want to use. eg, You want to use Genesis 8, one male and one female that are Genesis 8. The anatomical elements for Genesis 8 won't work on Genesis 3 or vice versa. The geometry of the anatomical elements is the same for all male Genesis 8 characters but the textures that are applied to those anatomical elements are different between characters.

Look on the sales page under 'What's Included' and you see anatomical elements listed. If you look at the Michael 8 character by itself you'll see no anatomical elements listed but you will see that the textures needed for Michael 8 to apply to the anatomical elements are included.
Same for every DAZ Original adult character that has a pro bundle, male or female.
You have to buy a Pro Bundle. Genitals are only in Pro Bundles. Victoria 8 Pro Bundle or Michael 8 Pro Bundle, for example.
Search on "pro bundle". Not all pro bundles have them, so check for "anatomical elements" under "What's Included and Features".
The juvenile pro bundles do not have gens, make sure you buy only the adult figure bundles.
Or just go to renderotica and get a 3rd party option. They usually have more options anyway and look/function better.
+1 to this...
It’s odd to me that you’d have to go elsewhere to get fully functioning proper gens. That is sad.
Thanks! Great Work Michael on D.A. - I'll check it out.
I know most people aren't a fan of dictators in politics, but in DS they do serve their purpose well enough for the price.
I believe the differnce falls in the Art versus Erotica and also maybe some state laws where DAZ is located.
yeah ... we only gain the "naughty parts" when we hit 21 or something. but if you only doing renders with pants, it doesn;t matter much.
This makes me wonder what percentage of users even ever render scenes with nudity. I would think if you never do, then what is the point of even buying many character sets since they are mostly covered up.
Since I do lots of pinup type renders, whenever a new genration is released, I buy the morphs, a gen figure, some great hair, every heel set I can find and a good nail package and i am set, LOL.
I have always been told that the majority of users are illustrating porn. I don’t know how that assertion can be tested though.
So my guess if that is your interest you’ve bought Vicky and her gens and the products from the other store as well.
I do renders with pants and no full front nudity and gens are still needed to make the pants look non vanilla on the dude wearing tight and certain types of outfits.. Maybe females can get away with it but guys need something down there or they look unrealistic
i have heard that also, but there is a very big area between nudity and porn.
There is not really a lot of scenarios if you aren't doing portraiture style illustrations that need to involve nudity. I guess if you were making a graphic novel or an animation it would make a bit of sense to have nudity in a shower, a sex scene, getting out of bed, getting dressed, or something sensible; I mean you do want to stage your story to make the characters seem mundane and realistic in dealing with day to day life, but not a whole lot of time should be spent on that part of the story, eg, talking on the phone while getting dressed is reasonable way to move plot forward but just a scene of someone silently dressing is sort of a scene waster if you have only 20 minutes to tell an episode in. Professionals already in professional productions are leaving lots of scenes and partial scenes on the cutting room floor including sex scenes and nudity scenes. However, cut too much of the mundane out and you getting these shows that are are nothing but a stream of preachy browbeating or gratuitous violence, sex or both.
I prefer characters which are intact I may not use gens regularly but I like having them.
It makes sense to leave them off toons or child characters, but If I’m im illustratin* adults I want them whole.
it seems weird to me to leave them off or make a mish mash of their textures. To me they are another piece of anatomy. It is like leaving off an ear or something
I don't have any pro bundles for G8. I've occasionally rendered artistic nudes for previous generations, and a few joke nudes (You want nudity? Fine, here's a really old guy's anatomy.)
As a PA, I have yet to work on anything where I felt I needed anatomical materials. I'm sure some people will complain, but meh.
A lot of people render nude pinups. You just can't post that here, but Daz is just one place on the internet. There's nothing wrong with beautiful nude bodies, without judgment towards gender preference or whatever.
Pornographic renders... that's all good, too, although a smaller subset of people do that. I don't think there's anything wrong with it... but the debate over propriety is very political, so I'll avoid it.
I love the Daz genitalia. There's always a good reason to get them. Pro bundles all the way.
The Genesis 3 & Genesis 8 Male genitals? What an achievement! Both the forward boy parts and the aft part! All on one prop... a truly groundbreaking achievement by Daz, although it's not a coincidence that Genitalia became Anatomical Elements since the aft part doesn't have a role in "genesis".
Also, Male-M3dia has a lot of fine HD morphs for the forward boy parts. The Daz bits plus those HD morphs? It's hard to find better IMO. There may be more exaggerated third party crazy boy bits, but if you want a shapely and also diverse set of forward boy parts? Daz + Male-M3dia's work... highly recommended.
The Genesis 3 & Genesis 8 Female genitals? Not as great... the texture maps aren't as easy to add details, with the anatomy being inny rather than outy, I guess. The geometry of the prop? Another amazing leap forward from prior generations, IMO.
Yeah, if you want gynecologist office close-up work, Daz female gens are probably not the best choice to display the human anatomy. For other work? The Daz female gens are more than adequate... shapely and low-fuss, whereas the third party genitals tend to be made for a lot of extra work (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Thanks for the compliment.. although you may want to check M3D Jesse for G3M and M3D Dalton for G8M.. they have aft hd aft part morphs...![wink wink](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/wink_smile.png)
For female characters (no matter the age) I always put geneitals on, even if no one would ever know from the final render, but it bugs the heck out of me, if I don't. For male characters, I only use genitals, if the render requires it, because otherwise it's too much work.
I've done some adult renders, but none of them I would classify as porn.
I do both nude (erotic/sexy/porn) and none nude. I mainly use the 3rd party genitals as a lot of pose packs support those and only a few the default genitals. I usually always put genitals on females and male only when needed as they always poke out of their pants :)
Simple price question...
Daz (= Pro Pack) + Male-M3dia figure vs. a single third party product... That third party product cost's less than the Male-M3dia figure - which is great value nonetheless, as you get a full male figure - and offers added functionality when you are using non-human figures built on the DAZ "basic" figure...
In the end it depends on what one wants to achieve... or what the OP wants to achieve...
The cost of the Pro bundle reflects your interest in the other bits. I don't really have a single genre of image that I do, so the diverse library from a Pro bundle is good.
Of course, if one wants only to render nudes, then the value proposition changes.
There are high quality third party anatomical elements. There's also a lot of good with the Daz elements.
It's not necessarily worthwhile to buy a pro bundle for the anatomy, but if you buy the pro bundle, the anatomy shouldn't be overlooked. There is a lot to appreciate the Daz product.
The default gens are the same between gen 3 male and gen 8 male. I think. They are rather rudimentary and morphs can be transferred. Not the hd ones though. Morphs mentioned here improve them greatly but there really hasn’t been an update to base shape provided by daz..beyond that I can tell.
it would be cool if more pas paid attention to this area and customized them but I understand it’s not a lot of people’s area of expertise. It is nice though when some pas make the extra effort to customize their figures entirely.
I'd have to disagree since there was a thread over there talking about the shapes on those products and they used my products as examples of how to put that variety in them.![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
I'm not too fond of the 3rd party ones in terms of realism, most of the shapes are "make them longer" or "make them bumpier", but most the anatomy products are focused on the females so I don't think they pay too much attention to the nuances in how the male looks.
Also note that I'm not just selling the gens, that's the bonus. I'm making unique head and body shapes (with lots of JCMs for bending and flexing, especially in more extreme poses) that you can add to gene pool. If you're doing any nude or semi nude male renders, my male (and the occasional female) products are made for that. If you look at the promos, you see the chest shift up and down with arm raises, hip/glute area changes with leg movement and abs move as well. So it's not just selling gens, you're getting a product that builds on the stuff DAZ3D releases. Not many other PA male characters (and females characters for that matter) do what my shapes do.
