Blech, tired now - 2-1/2 days of insane running around to fix this stupid stop-ship issue and my nerves are frayed again. Blech. :blank:

Was going to hit the bank, get money, maybe go out - now I get to stay a bit late to walk the manufacturing folks through the tester changes so that they can start in on production Monday. :blank: So bank run at lunch time Monday, and I'll make do this weekend partying and relaxing at home. :-S

Thankfully I have enough cash on hand for a couple of sixes of top-end microbrews, and the fridge is loaded to the gills with tasty food, so I can spend the entire weekend rendering and relaxing (R and R, heh).

For dinner, I'm going to go nuts - hickory smoked bacon and eggs! :cheese: With chipotle cheddar cheese on top! :bug: That and a few beers and I should be in heaven.

I have to remember to thaw the applewood smoked bacon for tomorrow... :)

Now or the boring clean-up work: documenting what I had to do, writing new test directions, and checking the source code into source code control - apparently it's never been checked in, at least not for over a year or more. :blank: At least it's zero-stress work for q Friday afternoon!

...OK, market trip for this afternoon now confirmed. The other favuroute creative (and relaxing) pastime to 3D for me is cooking.

Gonna have to do that kielbasa skillet sizzle this weekend. Maybe some pan fried dead fish for dinner tonight, might splurge and go to the fishmonger to see If I can score some perch fillets and do a traditional Milwaukee Friday Night Fish Fry.

...me neither. Only had Daz remain in memory for several minutes after closing down (and actually increase in size).

However, yesterday was interrupted by one of those "surprise" Windows updates that forced a restart while I was working in the surfaces tab. Fortunately, just did an intermittent save moments before it occurred. so didn't lose anything really important.

Been having a lot of fun recreating Leela with Growing Up and the G2 morphs, she really looks like a preteen now and more like Leela rather than Julie.

Learned how to save Gen4 skins in .duf format so I can "one click" apply them to my G2 kids. Made separate ones for Leela, Tracey, and Annika as well as saved several of the basic ones I commonly use.

Wish I had something to post but as usual I started with a simple idea and it just kept getting more involved until it became worthy of submitting to a challenge. Will be uploading tonight to the PC August Challenge.

Uh oh. KK, you haven't seen the amount of cheese I put on a bread or in pizza. Trust me, your "triple the cheese" is "1 serving of Skiriki cheese-nummies".

The local pepperoni is quite mild, actually. No stingier than some ground black pepper or the sausage patty you crave. :)

...I still see the YT5 as a being useful and will continue to use YT5 as I have several of the Head Morph resource kits as well as DieTrying's 182 morphs which do help with making more original looking characters.

However with Zev0's Growing Up with the G2F morphs kids particularly in the 5 - 13 year old range look so much better as the proportions of the different age stages are much more realistic (and there's a control to adjust pelvic tilt so they don't look like swaybacked "Vicky Mini Mes"). I'll have to upload a simple pic of the new Leela tonight.

One thing I really love is she has a "real" kid's smile now. G2F is definitely an improvement in facial expression department.

    AH GAWD.

I just served dinner and dessert to my friends.

    Warm sammiches, with:
Nice, solid whole-grain wheat bread base
    Olive oil smeared on bread
    Gouda
Dried and cut basil and oregano
    Sun-dried tomatoes, cut to shreds
    Bacon, shredded
    Onion, diced
A mix of grated Swiss and Mozzarella
Thin slices of pepperoni on top of everything

    Dessert: home-made banana sorbet.

Man that felt GREAT -- not just to eat, but to cook.

    Sounds good.

The wife and I went to a local sandwich place for lunch. I got their standard BLT (Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato for our non-US friends) with their homemade mayo, the wife got the Pear, Goat Cheese and Bacon panini. We both got their homemade potato chips seasoned with a touch of salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary.

Sooooo true! Thats one of the best improvements, Expressions are way more human lol thats one of the reasons I cant wait to upgrade my males with G2M, Its so damn hard to get a realistic expression, especially with custom dialed characters. That was the first improvement I noticed soon as I loaded G2F the first time, the face pretty much sold G2F to me.

Only an hour and 40 minutes and I can go home! A quick stop for microbrews, a nice walk home, and it's cooking and eating and drinking time!!!

From all the G2F stuff I'm seeing, I might end up investing a bit in her. Realistic expressions are definitely a big plus for me. I wonder if I should save and get a bundle.. or do I need to buy a carpload of morphs seperately? :blank: And how to clothes fit on her? Do I need a totally new wardrobe for her, or will Genesis 1 and/or Gen4 clothing fit her? :-S

Cooler today - only supposed to hit 98f! That means less sweatiness from the walk from the mini-mart to home, whew!

Complaint: since I'm stuck here helping the manufacturing people out I can't get to the bank before tey close, and they have no Saturday office hours, so no haircut this weekend. I look like a furball, too, sine I haven't shaved in 2 days either. :bug:

Gen 1/Gen 4 clothes will fit her just fine, if you get these extra thingies:
    http://www.daz3d.com/top-sellers/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female
    http://www.daz3d.com/sickle-dress-rig-genesis-2-female

    And if you get this:
    http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-clone-for-genesis

...then you can use Gen2Fem stuff on Gen1.

That happens on a regular basis - the integration of 3Delight doesn't check for Cancel until the buckets have completed - which means, if you have your bucket size too high, it can take aaaaaaaages to actually get around to acknowledging your Cancel operation >_<. Especially worse on first start up as well (before any buckets have been delivered). Generally happens to me if I have Occlusion settings too high and using transmap hair and forgot to set hair surfaces No Occlude etc X).</p>

I would recommend getting at least V4 to G2F (http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female) and the morphs bundle (http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-morphs-bundle). You'll have to get those separately anyway since they don't come in any figure bundles that I'm aware of. If you use kids to young adults in your renders I have to agree with KK that Zev0's Growing Up morphs (http://www.daz3d.com/growing-up-for-genesis2-female-s-v6) are far superior to the Young Teens.

You should be able to autofit just about any clothing you have for Genesis with few issues (other than shoes those are still hit or miss with autofit) and with the V4 to G2F kit you can autofit V4 stuff as well.

    ...here's whaat I currently have:

G2F free and should be in your Content Library on your account page (has it's own Genesis essentials bundle so it will not overwrite the original Genesis one).

http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-female-morphs-bundle (currently on sale, these are basically the "Evolution Morphs" for G2F)

http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female (also on sale - essential for using V4 maps and autorfitting V4 clothing).

http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-2-head-morph-resource-kit (excellent tool for refining facial shapes and creating original characters).

    http://www.daz3d.com/growing-up-for-genesis2-female-s-v6 (for creating the young'uns)

Expansions/tools worth considering (also on my list as well):

http://www.daz3d.com/sickle-dress-rig-genesis-2-female (important for autofitting dresses and long skirts).

http://www.daz3d.com/shape-shift-bundle (covers both Genesis Classic and G2F - currently on sale and actually costs 49¢ less than either of the individual shape shift tools).
