...ahh nuts, the PA sale is winding down ...

Sez who? I would have thought, even if there's a catch up at the end, that it was likely to be releasing new items and having new featured days for another week at least (though that isn't based on secret knowledge or official word).
...I thought I read somewhere this was the final week.

...cloudy and beginning to rain here. More of the same into next week with temps in the 50s.

This is just one reason I need to win the Megabucks so I can afford to move where it's warm all year round.

When DAZ 3D starts doing the month long yearly sales for just 3 weeks even I will bail out. :bug:

Daily fix of get it out before I kill something. Better known as complaints.... :-P
Way to little sleep, I do that every time I know I need to get up at a set time, lay there awake wishing for sleep.
Way to much walking today, was only a two hour shopping trip but I think I saw every department except the deli, and Subway, the samich place.
Went to a place with a Subway and did not go buy myself a big fat samich, now I gotta cook tonight.
Arthur is waiting gleefully for a nice ALL DAY rain we have moving in. I can tell the Bone Gnomes are sharpening tools cause they be dancing a bit today.
And last but not least, still no PC love.

...yeah the weather is turning for the lousy here and already feeling it. Last week we were in the 80s - 90s Sunday we won't even make it out of the 50s.

How many weeks has it been concerning the replacement computer?

It's pushing a Month now, and I'm getting PO'ed. I have all the info on the new one except the Tracking. Which is 2 day air again.

2 Day air? I would call them and tell them to produce or you want your money back. I hope you used a credit card for this purchase. It really sounds like they're yanking you around. If they tell you you have to spend more to get it, call your credit card bank and tell them what's going on. They should take over and get your charges reversed for you.

DanaThe big part of the hold up is a FULL 4 day system test, which I found out is done in 8 hour work days. I never noticed the time it took the first PC as I was busy backing up content and moving my PC so I had room to set up the new one. And with me disabled that took much longer to do than type just now. This time I'm setting here going...

Are we there yet? Are we there yet? What about now? No? Maybe now? This is a very respected PC company. I'm just in NEED!

Decided to play with the LIE (Layered Image Editor) in Daz Studio. (I'd been promising myself I would.)
I created a freckle map to overlay Young Teen Julie's face diffuse in Photoshop Elements. I wanted to make it subtle so it wouldn't look like she had the measles. :)
I think I may have made it too subtle, but overall not too bad results. I figured out how to load my freckle overlay by way of the LIE, anyway.
Here are 2 renders with Julie and her freckles, and just for fun, one more of her at age 6. (Wasn't she a little cutie?)

...it is a bit tricky, but you can get great results with it that would be even more difficult in postwork.

Yeah, there's a severe lack of sensible instructions on how to get to the LIE in the first place. Once you find it, the use is fairly intuitive.

Also, I noticed there aren't many freckle face maps available. (Plenty of tattoos, though.) So I was thinking, what about LIE overlays, one for each UV, V4, M4,V5, M5, V6. Three each, lightly freckled, medium, heavy. (Next time I'll use some reference photos.) And then offer them as a freebie on ShareCG.
    Sound like a good idea?

I seem to be having issues dressing Lisha for Laura 3. Her boobs are poking through the clothes. Sorry, I can't post the renders because Mr. Richard H. would delete them. He would say: "Image deleted for frontal nudity of a human. Please read http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/3279_4/ " lol

Yes, I did try to adjust the clothes but there aren't many morphs to accommodate a big uh, chest. Guess I need to find some Daz (OptiTex) or Poser dynamic clothes for Lisha.

Edit: forgot to mention that I have a similar issue with Emeli but Emeli has smaller boobs. I can fit most of Laura's clothes on her.

...sounds wonderful to me. Leela and her daughter are both suppose to have freckles. The closet I could find was JW's Tindra Thompson map but I have to adjust the skin colour as she renders too "pink". Tori for V5 sort of has freckles but the map doesn't include a "no makeup" option and it also has one of those navel peircings that are popular today (which my girls would never have).

OK, I'll put that project near the top of my "to do" pile. :)
Really though, it is something I want to get at soon, before I forget what I've learned about the LIE.
