    Nice composition KK :)

My complaint for today (perhaps for the week or two) is that my reply render (or set of renders, rather) to counter the evil blue sorcerer with the knife, whom shall not be named, has taken over 10 days to do. One render took 1day (thats right DAY) 2hrs and 40mins. (I was very fortunate to actually be at my computer as it completed, had I not completely screwed my sleeping pattern and worked in that time I would have canceled.) As it turns out, Daz is not so nice when water is involved with raytrace and fog. Anyways the consecutive renders averaged 9hrs (Excluding the characters as I layered renders in post work, largely so I wouldn't need to re-render If I needed to adjust any actors). Perhaps the shader I'm using for water is not good... It does look nice, and is rather basic using daz default shader. dunno.

Non-complaint in relation to the complaint, I think its better then renders Ive done in the past, despite the lonnnnnnnng duration its all taking, and the few random crashes, mistakenly saved over scene files, the trans map issue associated with atmospheric Volume cameras and trees... I have to say I am enjoying it. Rendering 2nd last shot now, and the final shot will have a significantly shorter render time as NO WATER :cheese:

So, IF anyone has wondered where Ive been, this is what has had me so damn occupied.

    The Klingons are noisy neighbors.
    The klingons are noisy neighbors.

    The Etruscans are noisy neighbors.
    The etruscans are noisy neighbors.

In this case, those would be Proper Nouns. So, Klingons, and Etruscans. Unless they move next to you and make a lot of noise...that's not at all proper. :)

A Klingon likes his food fresh.
A Klingon likes her food fresh.

There's no word for his/her, is there?

A Klingon likes theys food fresh.
A Klingon likes his or her food fresh.

Order up for the table of Klingons.

Following your trend, that would be Theirstory.

And Klingons are Klingons, no need to list both his and hers. Proper grammar is to use the masculine. And I think even more so in Klingon.

Seems like I recall that Klingons refer to the sexes as male/female. And refer to their SO as "my mate".
Although I recall that they say she/he, him/her, his/hers when speaking English. And I don't speak Klingon. :)

    Klingons like their food fresh.

Though it's often OK to use their as the third person singular too - a Klingon likes their food fresh.

How does a Klingon know their food is fresh? :-P

    It's still squirming!

I'm just as happy kitbashing old stuff like the rusty old ute and thinking about making a retro leather interior and new dash and fittings for it. Black is the second most popular car colour (18%) after white (23%) , according to DuPont heh :>)

Silver is 3rd most popular but don't think they mean sputnik silver

Species names are usually not proper nouns: While walking the dog this morning, I saw a platypus, three llamas, a nine-banded armadillo, a pair of dragons (one was an ice dragon and the other a Komodo dragon), a human, and a Klingon. The reason Klingon is capitalized is that in addition to being a species name, it's also used as the name of a nation: Etruscans, Canadians, Rohirrim, Klingons. Komodo is capitalized because it's the name of an island.

Some names of fantasy creatures can either be capitalized or not: if someone writes, "I read a story about a dwarf," I'm thinking this or maybe this. But if someone writes, "I read a story about a Dwarf," I'm thinking Gimli.

ok.. finally got windows to boot up. All my stuff is intact. I need to fix the other partition on the new drive. But I want to play with Daz Studio instead. lol

Incidentally, Daz Studio renders a little faster after I installed my new drive. I think the 3Delight engine is reading the TDL files faster because the temporary folder is on the new drive.

Non-complaint: I won 2nd prize in the Sept Freebie Challenge, much better than I thought I'd do.

Complaint: Daz issued my store credit and now I'm not flagged as PC member anymore. Support request sent and I hope they can get it fixed before the end of the day. I had some of today's PCA items in my cart but I was waiting to see if the credit would come through before actually checking out.

I pointed it out to DAZ so hopefully they notice and get it resolved today. It is a very common bug that I think they are having a hard time tracking down. Sorry for the inconvenience it may be causing.
