Jaderail's been a bit testy ever since he got kicked out of the UNDERDARK.

I was not aware of that either...that there is an UNDERDARK or that he was kicked out.

    Dana

    Well, exiled, kicked out, whatever.
Go here and read the first four posts to understand:
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/26700/P369

OK, is this a fantasy chat room or mutli-player societal game or something? I'm way out of the loop when it comes to that stuff, I never joined anything like that. Or was it just nonsense talk off the top of your heads?

    DanaYes.

    Thanks. Clear as mud. :-P

I must go eat something, and then try to do some work outside...work that I should have done yesterday, but got started too late and then had to go back to Lowe's because something was forgotten when packing stuff into the trunk.

Got it. I kind of thought it was something like that, but wasn't sure if it was a forum he was exiled from, so I had to ask.

Extatic plesant day to you you all !!

I see loachy has a speacial thread in his honor, and somehow missing...
Whats up, are there special temtational powers needed to lure him back in ?

Further updates,,, not mutch, my ongoing complaint is the same as ever,
the cosmos needs to be redesigned to submit to my fancies, and I expect
YOU"RE help to execute this plan, firstly I want the damn thing to stop expanding
in ever faster rate, ultimately leaving every atom in existance alone with the rest
of the universe speeding away faster then the speed of light, leeving every element
in existance without hope to get a glimse of anything else in total blackness, and
that depresses my facation traveling urges, further,, I'm rather content !

Sounds like everything is as it should be Sal :)

...did the weekly grocery run and scored. Been looking for a tin of Lyle's Golden Syrup since it came up in discussion on the Pancake thread over the weekend. On the word from a local foodie blog, stopped at the natural food store down the street, and sure enough, there it was. Not a tin anymore but that's not as major a requirement as the contents are. Even though an import, still cost less: 5.99$ for about 11.6 oz vs 6.99$ for 8 oz of pure maple syrup (and that was at the big super for their "house brand").

With the cool (soon to be cold) rainy season underway, nothing like old fashioned rolled oats with a bit of butter and syrup and a cup of hot tea for brekkie.

Maybe Jaderail's problem isn't the UNDERDARK. Could be that his UNDERWEAR is too tight.

So the label on the packet said not to operate heavy equipment and I went and used the store anyway and straightaway bought something I already bought. Oh well I would pay twice for sugatak models anyhow, a real good cause

Graaaah.... Trying to think of something.... Something to describe this fluid I had in mind that stuns small critters and is just numbing to larger ones, but I can't think of what it'd be called... I don't really know where I should be looking either... Jellyfish maybe?

Is supposed to be a carnivorous plant that traps and eats rodents and stuff, and has this slime on the inside that, well I already described that bit.

Mph. Hate it when I can so perfectly envision something, but then when I sit down to write how it works my brain derails XD

Anyway. Picked up a DvD on modeling in Cinema4D earlier. Some interesting subjects there like modeling an electric fan, a headphone set, and an umbrella :)
Looking forward especially to the fan one, since I can definitely put that to use in modeling scifi stuff ^_^

Ooh on the topic of [fictional] carnivorous plants, does anyone really use this guy? http://www.daz3d.com/mean-green-mutha
Kinda a fun monstrosity to play with :)
Though the tendrils are such a pain to pose, and the petal 'maw' always conforms improperly for me =/ Floats off away from the head by a few inches...

*edit* Peh. Just gonna use generic wording and stuff. Looking up more stuff and just got more and more lost. Trying to be creative and largely scientifically correct isn't working right now - too tired maybe? I dunno... I don't even know what I should be looking for. *le sigh*

I think this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedate is sort of what I should be investigating, but all I'm finding is medical stuff.

A neurotoxin maybe? Ethanol is a neurotoxin, as is nicotine. One example of a paralyzing neurotoxin of plant origin would be curare. Enough curare to cause paralysis is usually fatal due to paralysis of the muscles needed to breathe.
However, since you're writing fiction, I see no reason that your plant can't have a paralyzing neurotoxin with the effects you described.
