Complaint: I am massively hurting cause it is raining out, but it is pleasantly warm. My legs keep going numb while I'm sitting at my desk. I have to finish this texturing so can't take a break. I gotta get up every 40 minutes or so cause my back is tightening up and killing.

Sorry to hear that. I hope it eases up soon.

    Dana

Thanks. It's always worse when I'm working 10-14 hour days. Rain, snow, or cold just make it worse.

    ouchees.

maybe a nice heating pad? or a heated blanket while you're working?

brr brr shiverrs from the cold prolly agravates, eh?

i imagine your pain meds won't take kindly to the usual remedies.

I often do heating pad and/or my TENS unit

tens unit, isn't that the shocks thingy?

My sister uses one of those. She had a really bad accident a couple years ago and still has pain from it. A trucker tried to run her down.

I went trick or treating and got lots of candy. I ate some tonight but I want to eat a little bit more. I also do not want to get sick from too much sugar.

sunny day for a lime in the coconut?

That results in a bellyache, the only cure is to put the lime in the coconut and drink them both together. :)

Downloaded the latest version of Sculptris. Works perfectly (Read this in a 'surprised' tone)
Not sure which version I tried before, but it wouldn't run at all xD

Digital Tutors actually has a course on Sculptris http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/182-Using-Sculptris where you make some nifty sea creature. :)
Judging by the looks of it, I dunno if my laptop will be able to handle this well, or zBrush for that matter. Thankfully zBrush is like C4D where a single license allows you to install on two computers at one time :)

    Anyhoo...

...zioks! Took second place in last months RRRR challenge, and did it with toon characters.

Didn't fare as well in the PC challenge (barely got the submission made in time), though did receive some nice comments on it.

Sculptris is lean so it should run on a lightweight laptop, give it a go. New version of LW out 11.6 :>)

Lightwave's still on my wishlist (Wasn't able to get it when that sale was up. Had some issues at the time I had to sort out that were more important >_>). There's some things I might be able to do in it that I can't in my version of Cinema.

Digital Tutors still doesn't have anything for Lughtwave, though a lot of people have been requesting it ^^
Ooh and found a course where they use both 3DCoat and zBrush - zBrush for the main scultping, 3DCoat for the retopology and etc.
    http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/615-Character-Modeling-Workflows-in-ZBrush-and-3D-Coat

I've seen a lot of comments about how people would use both programs since they prefer for example 3DCoat's retopology and UV tools, but prefer zBrush's sculpting tools.
I don't think it's so wrong to use multiple programs is it? So many people seem to be of the opinion you're "only allowed to use one" and that since "the one I use is the best, so no one should bother with anything else".

So many videos around about LW techniques you shouldn't need to buy anything but Liberty3D is a good place to look when you do. My comment on the great tool debate is if you understand the basics of, say, trigonometry, you won't have much trouble making and animating a basic IK chain in whatever 3D animation software you have laying around. If you have a good grasp of light and colour you will be able to get a decent surface shader out of most render engines. Software aint gonna supply style, taste, composition, palette or any of the other much more important stuff that makes a good picture. Only practise practice practice practice practice practice practice practice practice XD
