True, true, Henryhor....the movie certainly changes one's idea of robots' future use/potential.

mtnmen - depends what the aliens consider intelligent, their search may or may not be successful.

Jamahoney - well done robots. What is the odd one looking at that it blushes?

    Cool challenge and excellent interpertations.

    Here’a mine: “Modern Family”.

3 of the robots are from the Rob bundle by Valandar.

One is my own BabyBot (created in Modo).

    Architexture by 1971s and Stonemason.

    3D scanned rock from CGTextures.

Sone retexturing and remodeling done in Modo

Illuminated by the Bryce sun and a Sky HDRI by Horo.

Rendered at 64 RPP, TA enabled; about 1hr 40m to render.

Thanks for looking  and comments are always appreciated.

Dan - cool family. Very well done scene.

  • @ Hansmar: In a tight spot - cool idea and good render.
Robot recycling - really well done. Good modeling, great idea and fantastic picture.

@ Henryhor: Mutiny on the Bounty - a picture that tells a whole story. Very well done.
A third foot - Very funny and fantastically rendered.

@ mtnmen: The Search For Intelligent Life Forms ... Continues - Really great idea and well done.

@ Jamahoney: I, Different - really reminds me of I Robot. Absolutely amazing. I would hang this up as a poster.

@ adbc: Exploration bot - a powerful explorer. Very beautiful landscape.

@ Dan Whiteside: Modern Family - Very sweet family. I like it.

I think, Henryhor, that IKEO sent him the old Yard (3-feet) model - he should send it back, and request the latest Metre version cheeky

Dan, love the light in that.

Yeah, Drachenlords...loved I.Robot - one of those movies that set a benchmark.

    Thanks also, Mtnmen.

Thanks to all for the comments

@ Jamahoney: thanks for the comment. I'm afraid with the metre version there will be a quarter more remaining.

@ ed3D: the little bots must hate when this happens. Hope they have enough battery to wait for the opening. Fun idea.

I like the second one best, Ed3D...there's always someone, or something, nosey on the other side of the fence.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

    drachenlords : thank you.

ed3D : Very well done ! I also prefer the second one.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,642

ed3D - the first is a neat idea, the second is creepy with the robot's eyes looking from behind the fence. I like both.

dachenlords and Jay - I haven't seen the movie but read I Robot by Isaac Asimov several times.

Yeah, Horo, you're doing it the right way round: read the book first, then see the film next if the book was good. Having, usually, three to four books all going at once, and a short span of patience, the films are the easy option out for me wink

@ mtnmen: thanks. So far I remember I never had extra parts, but sometimes there's something missing.
