Practice makes perfect, and even this render has a flaw in it, notice the drivers door is a different color of red!

The scene I used is for the Multiplane Cyclorama, it is available from both sharecg and Rendo, for free, they come in several scenes per pack, and the person has several packs available now, so you would have to search the free listings for DAZ Studio.

Betsy, on the vette door, it looks like the ambient setting is set to white (255,255,255). Reset it to what the rest of the body is set at, possibly black (0,0,0). That looks like the problem to me. I am no expert but I have seen that kind of pastel washout before and that was the problem.

Usherstang, I don't know why the sphere texture image is so grainey and bright. It should not look like that, unless you messed with the uberlighting. The lights are set for the scene. The distant light is pointed from where the sun is in the image and needed for the shadow to cast. Sould not have to move any lights. Also, What version of Daz are you using? It should be 4.5 or 4.6. Also, you forgot to turn on the ground shadow plane. It is like a flat plane that is gray. You can turn it on and off with the little eye in your content window where all the stuff is listed. If it is turned off, it will not show in the render. Turn it back on and it will be invisible in the render with only the shadow showing. It works great on anything you place on it. Even people and props. Be sure it is setting right on the floor and not below it or above it or it will show a gap between the item it is shadowing. Be sure the item is set exactly right on top of it and not above it or down into it. Be sure it is turned on, then render.

    :-)

I figured out what I did wrong, I simply used a different version of the same shader.

I know that this wasn't your intent but I thought it looked like any number of cars that I've seen that have had a body part replaced

I know that's right, but you would be very hard pressed to see any Corvette's like that!

Was looking for some backgrounds other than the Yosemite sets and found theses - Summer RenderSpots. Not too bad, uses IBL and only thing to watch is that they are a curved background set, rather like a photo studio paper backdrop roll.. Still quite nice with the supplied lightsets...The Rolls is from that set I bought ages ago, and I added in some M4/V4 stuff that I've had kicking around, once I saw how the figure-less render was shaping up..

Ajar has a backdrop that is like that. It comes with morph dials and you can select from 14 different bends on the backdrop. It also has a dial that will squeeze the center side in, one to make the top taller, and one to make the ground stretch out more. You can add any image you want to it. Very nice Rolls. I like it!

Spooky! That structure looks kinda like my "Gates to Hell" model I made last year only a lot fancier.

Like this one! Brings back memories of my father's '56 Pontiac Star Chief. His was a dark turquoise over white 4-door. Many, many road trips in that old beast, and the car I learned to drive with. :-)

Found some new GTA cars on a game modding site. I converted about 10 of them yesterday. Still working on the textures and resizing to fit into Poser and Daz. Got this one finished today. Very nice mesh and great detail. Even the tires are good. This is a 1967 Dodge Coronet with a 440 magnum. Super nice!

That one is nice and a good mesh. I've had it for awhile and posted a pic of it back in August. Not sure where you got yours but mine came from http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=detail&cat=133&start=0&id=63299&orderBy;=.
