Nice looking skin! Would love to see it in less even lighting.
Confused. What type of lighting are you interested in seeing? If you have a some lights, I'm game to try them if you post a zip or something.
@remcovanembden
Your Minka's renders are absolutely remarkable !
Quite often, with various daz lookalikes, we struggle to recognize them, but with your model, it was identifiable instantaneously. Great job.
Here is a small preview in different light situations. The morph is updated and so are some textures.
I think a lot of people morph or draw what they want to see not what they actually see. Also i often see the models are extremely symmetrical, don't have pores or wrinkles and if they do they often are not like the famous person. It really is very difficult.
We have a winner, in Japan, meet Imma, a virtual human.
is that character based on someone? It looks a lot like rose mcgowan to me in this shot.
edit: oh apparently it was supposed to be minka kelly? im dumb.
So many PA's make morphs of ultra symmetrical and poreless "people". The mind reels.
Not bad at all, although a lot of Daz characters come damn close. Where we lose out is on the hair.
Very nice. Have you worked on her eyes, yet? They seem really dark at the edges.
You should really try with Blender Cycles, would be really interesting to see what you can do with that.
I normally test in Arnold renderer. I have used blender on occasion but nothing serious. I also have used poser's superfly. I know how to fix the sclera problems by changing the maps. I will do that because I am not that happy with the normal maps for the eyes. I want to completely resculpt them

I feel like in Daz I can get close with the skin, but the hair always gives it away. In maya there are a number of renderers to do it with..V-ray and with renderman and a few others. Iray textures don't do photoreal hair I guess. Anyone know how to get photoreal hair from Iray?
I feel pretty desparate about hair. OOT hair models look the best, but they are a bit over the top in styles. A bit to much like hair dresser promos, so nothing daily. I wish OOT Hair could be used with dForce.
Then there are other hairs that still look good, but still destroy any photo real look.
So there are only dforce hair models left, which don't work for me at all.
Sorry I just don't like their look. I did a test render again, thinking, they might be good for having that "too much hairspray" look, but that didn't work either. dForce hair just does not look like hair to me.
Yes, generally the dforce hair looks terrible, in my opinion. Almost like it is straw.
Some of the hair WITH dforce is good, but it takes forever to simulate.
I use OOT's hair and use VWD to simulate. Works fairly well.
Still not photoreal, though.
Daz hair is pretty garbage compared to like - ornatrix hair.
SBH is okay if you crank up the strands and reduce the segment length but can be hard to style.
It says, "Imma was created by CG company ModelingCafe, who transposes her 3D animated head onto a real-life body and background.".

Couldn't even make it past the subheading without an error. Article closed.
They don't go into specifics but I'm willing to bet they used deep fake video transposing technology only to transfer those 3D artists modeled face geometry onto existing video. Once you realize that's how they done it it's much less an impressive 3D modeling feat.
Doubt they used deepfakes for this... Looks just like standard photoshop or video editing or w/e to put a digital face on a real body. The same thing they did with lil miquela.
What is VWD?
Like dforce a simulation engine for daz/poser, but it's an addon not made by daz.
Yes, VWD (Virtual World Dynamics) helps quite a bit, although it still doesn't look photorealistic.

I am testing my new studio light with a new chacter/texture and shader.
Wow, any chance of sharing your shader?
Long time lurker here :P
Here is my try:
