My avatar is, obviously, a self-portrait. Not only does it depict me exactly as I am, but it even captures my most typical facial expression.

Mine is a (not-so-)subtle reminder that the old figures are still perfectly good, along with a statement of my tastes... and, since I use it on other 3D-art forums so people recognize my posts wherever I am in this hobby, it's also free advertising for DAZ3D.

What's wrong with spiders? I've always liked them, Snakes & bats, too. Growing up, I couldn't figure out why the Addams family's neighbors thought they were strange, either, so maybe it's just me.

I don't see anything wrong with spiders. Just find them creepy. :) But while spiders are creepy, centipedes would be terrifying. To me anyway. (I actually do kind of like the looks of the scorpion, though. And harvestmen look quite elegant in my view as well. Millipedes are fine, too.)

I generally leave spiders alone. The very small ones anyway (like the jumping spiders). And thank goodness there are very, very rarely any large ones where I live. If any entered my house, sorry, I'd either squish them or ask them to get out. :-) You never know what their bite might do -- and I'm not wagering I'll enjoy the same gifts as Peter Parker.

I fully acknowledge that creepy crawlies are a part of Nature. All I ask is that they stay away!

...I still find myself using Aiko3. The characters based on her are just so much cuter and more charming, particularly the original Aikobot, Aiko19, XinXin, and of course Sylfie.

Well, people want to know the people behind the Avatar? Hmm... lets see, like Jaderail I'm male, like Jade I'm old and craggy looking (early fifties). Unlike Jade I'm more Native American than Drow, unlike Jade I'm a disabled person who needs a cane to waddle around. Unlike Jade I try, to be a good person and helpful. Like Jade I do carry a knife, pocket type, but I don't wave it around much. :-P

...well I'm not really 4'11" tall, have lovely long white hair (though I am beginning to notice more grey lately), nor can run along walls, jump from window ledge to window ledge or slice and & foes into 100s of julienne fries in moments like KK could do. However. I do have experience with (and respect for) large caliber long barreled revolvers, tend to be keenly aware of my surroundings, have a strong sense of honour & integrity, and for some odd reason, possess a natural ability to walk up behind someone without them hearing me (used to scare a lot of my co workers that way, unintentionally).

I really am a giant female Phiddipus audax. I have a few pictures of a chubby lady with varying hair color on my deviantart page, but those are actually a paid actress I selected on the basis of her willingness to be photographed by a giant spider.

If you subscribe to the Daz3D page on FB you may well see the real me, it's about the only place where the avatar is actually me!

With all the talk of Avatar it's a wonder nobody has Jake Sully as one.

I chose my Avatar because I really like Wonder Woman and the model is very beautiful. :)

A ground floor apt I lived in a while back had so many bugs hop, crawl, and fly inside that whenever I found a spider with a web in any room I left it alone. They don't bother me any more or less than other bugs. If they're outside, they're fine, inside not.

Anyhay, I'm female. My avatar has a Nursoda guy who's not sure if he has enough coins to get the latest DAZ goodie and who pays no attention to the nag beside him.

Photo of me would be doable but I choose not to. Hiding behind a avatar is preferable to me judas as I prefer to not socialise and be out in public a lot.
People are strange, eye contact is weird and non-verbal social cues don't make sense.

is there a Story behind it ?

I was bored with my last avatar, and chose wonder woman. I like the bright primary colors and the fact she is a tough customer.. I need to re-render something new, but shrinking it down small sometimes doesn't suit me. In the case of my last avatar the forehead was too light, although this wasn't a problem with the larger picture. =-)

Greetings! I am Brextor Ultimus! Pleasure's all yours! I am Alchemist in the world of Urantia. I live in a isolated house with other guinea pigs--I mean, occupants just off the forest area near the Capital City of Nova. Though, I mostly spend my time in my laboratory in the basement of an old abandoned chapel within the heart of the forest. I don't really go out unless I need to restock on Elemental Mana. When that happens, I usually need to have one of the others, usually Akjuro (the kid's got too much time on his hands), to join me in case the Chimera attack. Why, you ask? It's not that I can't take them on, myself. The thing is, my goal is to GAIN Mana, not blow it all via spell formula simply because some pesky Pyrous Minor happens to be immune to bludgeon rod attacks! Though, let's just say this is why I always make it a point to produce a surplus of Hydro Bombs, among many other useful products... :smirk:

I created mine years ago because even though I am an avid Poser fan, I do not participate in the forums too much. I'm more of a lurker ;-) so My avatar will occasionally "peek" in here to see what is going on.

    No further remarks.

And this one is for ghastly:

Na na na, nana na na na na, ERECTION!

Really made my day when I found that comic and read the whole archive earlier this year. Usually adult comics are pretty vicious, but it was generally very healthy about its approach to difficult topics, and Freddy was always my favorite person in it.
