    That LAMH fur looks just wonderful and it adds an incredible amount of detail!

    Used the player linked by belovedalia. I don't know how to use an .lmh preset with the player but playing with Big Cat2 seems to work just fine for me.

    Did some slight color work in post....

    EDIT: Thanks jaderail for the info.

    Turns out I did NOT use LAMH on these lions. I thought I did and thought the process was automatic--ie load the lamh hair on the lion and render--so I didn't even notice that I had NOT yet installed the LAMH presets. Sheesh. I loaded up fur, but it was the mane and chin hair that come with Big Cat2 which look great, btw.

    Player Opens in Windows> Panes(tabs) and you can load a Preset only when the Figure is selected. Bottom Left button. Here is a test of it with the Wooly and it's preset....

    Only one i can think of off the top of my head is Stonemason's Enchanted Forest?
    Maybe some of Lisa B's plants - the long elephant grass and such?
    I THINK the multiplane cyclorama had a few "jungly" type backgrounds?

    It seems that if I move the Big Cat with the LMH preset or try to add almost anything to the scene, it crashes DS. To date this is the only image I've been able to render.

    It's really frustrating because as you see the result look amazing when you can avoid the constant crashing!

    It's going to be a lot of fun adding some big cats to my renders. I just threw this one together as a test. Pretty cool.

    here's a quick one i did... it was just a spot test really so its low render settings but i still like it. :) just took 5 minutes to render with UE light too....

    nice render.

    I got my first cheetah last night. Something needs to be done with the claws. any one got an idea on what shader to use to make them look as good as the hair??

    you mean if you want the claws to be black? maybe try a black stone or something?

    I'm using DS 4.6.1.33. Maybe I need to update to x.39. I'm getting a lot of crashes trying to render the cats. I guess it's the hair? If it does complete without crashing it takes forever.

    This is a very small image. Only 620x620. It took an hour to render without the mane. It took 4 hours to render with it. Why such crazy render times? An image this small usually renders in under 10 minutes on my machine.

    That's probably the transmaps taking so long. What are your render settings? Whats the raytrace depth? what lights are you using and what settings?

    I actually find that the LAMH fur renders faster sometimes than some figure hair. :)

    I've done some testing, The Male lion mane is the biggest drain on the system. Multi zones and transmaps, it is almost just as bad on the Fur Male lion. For me all the rest render in what I would call acceptable time. But the Male is so cool...

    A quiet one since she's really really concentrating. I rendered larger but that jpg size was 600k so I reduced it some though it's still larger than the forum will show. No problems using the latest player, but I have to move the parameter dials fairly slowly and a bit at a time.

    I'm not sure if this was asked already, but I don't feel like going through 12+ pages. Was there a reason why there was no Pro Bundle for this fashionable feline?

    I finally had a chance to do a render. I have to say, I really love the big kitty 2, and I love the fur (tho my machine was quite cantankerous about rendering it lol need more power!!!!)

    The renders all look good has anyone done the Griffin for DAZ Big Cat 2?

    I was wanting to buy it also but waiting to see if the price comes down on the Required Products: Griffin Wings.

    There to high 17.95 & with the Griffin for DAZ Big Cat 2 discount 12.57 so I'll just wait.

    Was wondering if anyone that might of bought it has had any trouble render it? :)
