The renders all look good has anyone done the Griffin for DAZ Big Cat 2?

I was wanting to buy it also but waiting to see if the price comes down on the Required Products: Griffin Wings.

There to high 17.95 & with the Griffin for DAZ Big Cat 2 discount 12.57 so I'll just wait.

Was wondering if anyone that might of bought it has had any trouble render it? :)

Here's a bare-bones render with just default lighting, without the wings (I don't have them). Even without the feathers there are no holes or anything if you leave off the wings.

WOW It looks Great, may go ahead & get it & just wait on the wings.

I use Poser 9 don't guess you could use the mil winged horse on it, I have the horse 2 bundle with Dson, but don't have the Horse 2 wings they were for Daz only.

Thanks for the preview it looks good even with out the wings. :)

was it intention that all those cat faces just do not look like an adult cat
more like a big cat for children
perhaps someone can render a normal looking big cat

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL Ruphus.... that might be your opinion......

but my opinion is, Big cat was based on a lot of real life experience and photos.... the Daz team went and interacted with real big cats... lots of reference used...and it looks amazing to me and not at all "like a big cat for children"

I need to hide the big cat's lower jaw. Is there a way to do this? If so, how? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not at home so I don't have anything in front of me, but off the top of my head I'd say a couple pre-render solutions would be to hand-paint yourself a transparency map that covers the lower jaw, or use the polygon editing tool to create a separate material zone for it and then set its Opacity to 0%. That's assuming you're referring to the whole (including exterior) lower jaw, and not just the inner jaw'n'teeth (which would probably disappear if you clicked off its visibility eye in the Scene tab).

Yes, I'd like to hide or delete the whole lower jaw mesh. There isn't a visibility eye for the jaw that I can find but it does move separately from the head so it seems to me like it would be possible to remove or hide this part from the mesh (if I knew how).

Love these cats! Also wanted to use the new DJ Remix, so threw it all together. (V6 HD as well as the End of Summer hair)

Also used Age of Armor's Ambient and Spot lights. The original render was 2000 x 2000 and rendered in about 20 min.

Thanks. :) Read the thread, got all the right components together and am having good luck with everything working. (Player only - the Full App still crashes for me, but I have Octane as well....so that may be the issue.)

Awesome! What I do right now, is just drag whichever plugin I am not using to my desktop, then swap as needed. :) That works for a temporary solution.... :)

Yes, that's the way to do it right now :)

However, LAMH Player 1.07.7P should appear in store anytime now and in a few days the LAMH full version 1.07 as well. Both versions will finally converge so that no more swapping files and other annoyances of such kind will be there.

With a lot of morphing, scaling and tweaking I was able to somewhat hide the jaw to do what I had in mind for this image. Here is my first trial render. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Very nice render: I'd probably switch the cat to high resolution so that the mesh surface will be smoother. For the rest, very well done.

    Greetings,
I knew these guys who raised a lion cub in their apartment in Silicon Valley. Once he got to a certain size, they worked with a exotic animal range in northern California to have him live there, and they went and volunteered every weekend to be able to visit him. A real sweetheart, but it was still disconcerting to go visit them and have this...lion cub, curled up on the floor in front of the TV with them.

They also briefly (a few weeks) watched after a young female leopard, again in their apartment, but she was MUCH more fierce than their lion. A real firecracker, and very willing to do harm if she got upset, which was often.

This set looks gorgeous, and I can't wait to see what folks do with it!

    -- Morgan

A lady who my dad did some welding work on her truck for invited us out to play with a lion cub she was caring for. It had been an unexpected delivery from a nearby zoo. Anyways, it was about 6-8 weeks old and the coolest thing. Definitely different in tempermant than a household feline. She did NOT like to be picked up. They told us it already ate it's weight in beef daily. My daughter was just a bit over 1 year old and would have no part of it. I of course got down on my hands and knees and played with it, cause, well you know it's not the kind of opportunity you get everyday. A day to remember. As I recall they called it, "Nala."

Looks VERY nice. However, the ears don't seem to go back and that is a big thing for me. A real cat's ears will go back when it is snarling, attacking, etc.

Cool, Thanx for the compliment and the imput. I'm working on a modified version with just the two cats and removing the pavillion and vikki. I will keep this in mind.

Yeah, the ears do pose, you just have to do them manually...

    Hi @thiostan,

I was able to get the big cat's ears to lay back. I had to manually adjust but that wasn't difficult. You might not be able to see that though in the picture I posted.

Edit: Never mind I just reread the postings and saw that @Jabba101 had told you the same thing ;)

Hi Guys, I'm a proper newbie to Daz. I have just bought Daz Big cats 2. They are very cool, but I must be doing something wrong as I can't find the options to make the cats roar or even just open their mouths.

Could somebody point me in the right direction. I'm sure I'm just being thick. Any pointers appreciated.
