Finally!!!!

Measure Metrics for DAZ Studio provides a way to measure your figure(s) in DAZ Studio and see what the real-world measurements would be.

The Measure Metrics plug-in will allow you to measure the length, diameter or angle of figures and props in your scene. It uses both Metric and US inches/feet. By using the Tape Measure, Tailor's Tape or the Protractor, you can remove the “guesswork” from your artwork.

Measure your figure's or prop's dimensions or configure the tool to automatically set your figure to dimensions that you specify without having to adjust dozens of morph sliders.

This product will be available on March 8 and will include March Madness sale pricing.

Dial the Morphs and Get Real-Time Measurements

Put Real Measurements in and Morph the Figure to your Specifications

Wow! So this is is a way I can make G2F to have my exact measurements? Wow this sounds cool

Is this just for Studio 4.6, or will it work in earlier versions of Daz Studio (or in Poser) as well?

This will be added straight to the wishlist

I don;t suppose that lurking within that mass of mensuration would be the ability to see what breast/cup size the figure has? Even the two chest measurements used to derive the value would be ok.

There is a bust measurement which is the circumference of the whole body around the chest as well as an under bust measurement which excludes the breasts. The difference gives you an approximation of the "cup" size.

Looks real interesting, can't wait to try it out.
Really hope that those are not the only parameters that are shown. need more breast and hip parameters.

    Well, this has my attention.

Ultimately, the decision on how quickly to purchase will come down to what else is in March Madness between now and release, and how much it costs, but it will at least make it to the wish list. :)

There are a bunch of preset "nodes" but you can easily create your own nodes to measure anything in your scene.

You could get really scientific... Distance between eyes, length of nose, width of mouth.... As well as non-figure related things such as the height of a building or tree or size of a car. Even the empty space between buildings so that your scene is to scale.

"36-24-36 ...What are your ideal Measurements?"

Here in Germany a joke says, the ideal measurements of a woman would be 90-60-90.
90 years old, 60 Millions on a bank account... and 90 days left to live! Get her married straight away. :-)
V6's measurements of 99-68-59 in that case aren't bad, too. :-P

That plugin is a very nice idea. I tended to use xSpyrox's "measuring wall prop" from shareCG to scale 3rd party Poser-Props in DS correctly.

    Looks very useful!

Not directly related, but somehow this seems relevant: Barbie with "normal" proportions.

Yes, the more detailed Wearable(s) Presets included for Genesis 2 Female and Genesis [Female], have both the Bust Circumference and UnderBust Circumference measurements - the "Basic" presets only have the Bust Circumference measurement. They also have extra properties that calculate the difference between the two measurements, as well as a Band Offset property (to account for the variance introduced by bra manufactures, and for whichever side the +0 vs +4 argument you side with), along with both Bra Cup Size (US) and Bra Cup Size (UK/AU).

    -Rob

Note: The locked properties in the image are "read only", meaning they are intended to display information but are not designed to be adjusted manually. The Figure Metrics script does, however, allow you to specify a target value for the "Measurement" property.

    What about foot size?

You put everything else on the list...but not the foot size

And does this work with Genesis 2 Male?

  • rbtwhizrbtwhiz Posts: 2,298

No, foot size is not currently included.

Yes, it works with [and includes presets for] Genesis 2 Male.

Then are there any plans to add foot size?

Because you know, like a chest, feet come in different sizes

The tool allows you to create your own measurements. You are not restricted by the shipping set.

I for one have been thinking up uses for this even before this was made. Tip to other users, think outside the box here just a bit. I use AniMate and Aniblocks (I'm very bad but do it any way) one set I use is a Sit in Chair motion. I will no longer need that PERFECT chair to match the motion or to edit the motion for a chair. I will just fix any chair I want to work now. LOVE this.
