You must not be familiar with Schubert.
Bubba Schubert? Yep, that ol' boy loves fishin'. :)
isn't that a tasty refreshing summer treat?
...what downloaded was, believe it or not, an .exe installer instead of a .zip. I thought they did away with the .exe's when the DIM went live.
They were supposed to. That's odd. When I've done the manual downloads they were zip files. The only thing that might have been an .exe would have been probably software, or a plug-in that required specific installation procedures. I don't know.
Dana
...well I guess it is sort of a plugin/shader as it works similar to Garibaldi Express in that it's effect is only seen post render and some of the surfacing controls are very similar.
my memb doesn't run out til nov-25th. got time to decide, but i'm leaning towards letting it go.
May I ask why? I let my PC membership lapse for a while because I felt the changes had caused it to lose value, but PC+ is headed back to where things were before those changes.
Let me see...before the changes...
PC items were $1.99, period.
You could use your montly coupon toward PA items, no minimum sale amount.
You could use part of your coupon on a PA item or DAZ Original item, and not lose the rest of the coupon amount that wasn't spent.
The coupon could be used on a PA item as long as it was no more than 50% of the price I think. That's what made it nice during those big PA sales. If something was on sale for $6 you could use $3 from the coupon toward the item, and still have $3 left! It's been so long I had forgotten about that. Maybe that was the plan. :smirk:
So, not really comparable, especially when you consider the PC items can now be as expensive as $7.99. That's four times as much as one $1.99 item, plus a few pennies (not that pennies are worth much anymore  ).
But, we'll see how it goes. I've been having a more and more difficult time deciding on a DAZ Original on which to use my coupon.
Dana
Unfortunately...yes!

That was the OLD old PC. Before I let my membership lapse because suddenly you couldn't use the coupon at all on PA stuff. So now, let's see how many end up at which price before we start looking for pitchforks and torches.
Have you used the free LAMH player? Is it the same with that? I haven't tried it yet...of course. It looks like you get great results with it, though. And I'm loving the new animals AM is coming out with that have the presets already! Now affording them is another story, but I'm loving them. I guess I'll love them more when I can afford to actually buy them and try them. :red: I do have some older ones that he put up the free presets for, so I guess I'll start with them. When I start.

I think they laid out the general pricing plan a little while back, maybe when they were first introducing the PC+ idea a couple of months ago. It depends on the non-PC price is. I believe it is a percentage, unless they've changed that, too.
And I won't bother with pitchforks and torches.

That's a load of BS. If she and friend don't like it, THEY should leave. Today was a good day when I got up, now it's a bad day. I think I'll drop the PC(+) altogether. There hasn't been much I wanted in the past 3 months and I've even let a couple of $6 vouchers slide by.

I'm going to try to hang in there, because there are a bunch of $1.99 items in my wishlist. Since they won't be changing, I have time to get a couple now and then. It sucks being poor. I wish I could just put everything in my wishlist into the basket. But then how would I pay my mortgage? :gulp:
Dana
Come on now Guys and Gals. The one thing that most everyone did agree about with the PC+ beta test was that the PC did need an increase in general pricing.
It started back in October 2002 (almost 12 years ago) and in all that time the core price of PC items hadn't changed.
It did need prices to go up in order to stay viable. The PC has to at least break even or else we have no PC club at all.
It was after all the first club of this nature on the main store sites, and has always been the cheapest in price.
They have used all the feedback they got form the beta and have worked to roll out a version that is designed to appeal to the majority, as per said feedback, and still manage to continue.
It has been said, in the new thread, That the $7,99 price is only mentioned just in case, It is not going to be used very often, just sometimes you may get a chance of a super duper set at a price which, although seemingly high for the PC, will be still a massive bargain as compared to main store prices.
Give PC+ a chance.
Everything gets more expensive, this is true. No probs, that happens. Glad that the back catalogue remains at the old price.
May I ask why? I let my PC membership lapse for a while because I felt the changes had caused it to lose value, but PC+ is headed back to where things were before those changes.

well, that puts you ahead of the rest of us who spent dollars on tickets and lost. :)
are you at the pool or the library today?
When costs go up so retail must also. As a grocery store scanning coordinator for almost 11 years now I'm all too familiar with that. And with customer complaints about pricing.
i think what a lot of people don't take into account with a business like Daz is that there really is overhead. Equipment, salaries, utilities, lease, etc. Those will have gone up due to inflation if nothing else.

I should be in a good mood - it's Friday, the weather is beautiful, quiet at the office, major progress on work, party money for the weekend, some extra content money, and pizza for lunch... BUT.. :blank:
I FEEL FEH AND MEH AND BLEAH! :long: That's my complaint for the day, along with how none of my wishlist is on sale.
