Does it come with some super glue or invisible duct tape to keep it in place I wonder. :coolsmirk:

I thought about that. The last pic in the promo pics shows a strap back. Since it's metal, I'm going to venture out on a limb and say that it's a springy metal and that she spreads it apart to get into it, and it springs back in place and just hangs there with tension. :smirk:

    Dana

Ouch on the snap back bit

Hopefully she's not so duh that she just lets it go!

I'll pass, thanks. Just had traditional British roast dinner. Loin of free range local pork (and the crackling went lovely and crispy) with roast potatoes, broccoli, peas and carrots.

    That sounds pretty tasty! :)

I just polished off my chili relleno from yesterday, makes a nice early dinner. :)

It's open mic night at the bar, I hope the guy with the singing dog shows up! :bug:

Just got a call from Dad, he's now home. Since I'm still coughing and sneezing, I'm not going to go see him, cause while I THINK this is allergies, I'd hate to be wrong when he just got out of the hospital. But it's good to know he's now home.

I think I understand this type of "armor" now. It isn't that it protects them from injury...it's that the enemy winds up oogling them, and while they're preoccupied V4, etc., attacks and kills him/her.

I might go to Baltimore's Inner harbor on Wednesday. I want to take some photos of Baltimore and use them as backgrounds for my renders.

    Dana

True, that! I just found a "clothing" for V4 that's nothing but old bones wired together!! :bug: That's gota be scratchy!! :gulp:

I get that a lot of these types being 'fantasy' is that it also means 'impractical', but pointy bits that stab or slash the WEARER the second she attempts to bend or twist are beyond the point of 'impractical' and well into the "I just wanted to make a set of clothes inspired by the SAW movies"!!!

bad enough when the offending spines, flanges, etc. are only partially metal, but in a lot of cases they are fully metal and of the same piece as the nearby plate!

    yes

also maneuverability over defense - kinda like the Spitfire and Mustang fighters of WWII. Nothing the Allies were building at the time could take a hit from one of ME variants, so the idea was to pretty much focus on not getting hit rather than damage reduction. Of course, a good set of leathers would do the same and still offer SOME protection against scratches or weather at only a marginal increase in weight and infinitesimal loss of speed - but when every nanosecond counts...

what's the old saying? "If you can't wow them with brilliance; baffle them with B.S." - so yeah, this is the armor form of that statement!

lol! I blame 'autocorrect'!! apparently people use 'moral' more than 'mortal' ;-)

.. though yes, in this case they are BOTH likely!

...also a lot of frustration for writers. How many times I used to yell at Word for changing the name the main race in my old SF story from "Sabrinno" to "Serbian".

Of course, now that I am writing a story set in the Balkans, I'm expecting to see the opposite happen.

Writing science fiction or fantasy, you pretty much have to tell autocorrect to go to a very warm place.

LOL! yes, one of the few positive things about Facebook - when folks post things from their 'smart' phones!!

most of the substitutions are hilarious and quite a few make me wonder if the folks at Apple need to be investigated considering the default CHOICE it makes on said substitutions!

... I pretty much tell it to go there even when writing 'normal' fiction - it often does not like my grammar and word choice even though they are correct! (it really doesn't have that great a vocabulary - plus it seems to go under the rule-set of "if enough people MISUSE something, that must actually be the correct way").

Hey, I'd make that exact type of outfit on purpose, for both sexes, but that sort of thing isn't family friendly. ;) I loved that particular Return of the Living Dead sequel. The technical challenge of making all the little conforming flesh lumps for the piercy bits to go through match the body UVs would be interesting, too, if fiddly.

Whoa slept all day again, starting to worry about turning into a vampire  Flu seems to be receding, not so hot any more. Or maybe is just a cold night. Pitch black, don't think the streetlights are working. And real cold now the sun went down.
