I've bought onions which when I sliced them the first time, found they were rotted on the inside even though there was no indication of so from the outside.

Salads are tasteless without ranch T_T I'll go get a new bottle tomorrow.
...in a similar vein, had a cucumber in the fridge that accidentally froze. Checked on it and discovered it is better to store them at room temperature as they are very susceptible to cold. Didn't know that.
So much for that with dinner. Now I have to go back to the market if I want my special marinated cucumber slices.
...bugger, I'll just make something else and get another one when I do my food shopping tomorrow.

...this was a little more than "cool' as in downright frost damaged.
