Twosret ... Kjaer ... does anyone else get the impression that DAZ are naming their new characters by having someone's cat walk on the keyboard and then just writing down whatever shows up onscreen?
(I'm joking. I know that these are perfectly good names in the cultures/historical periods that they belong to. I just couldn't resist).

I was wondering whether anybody recognises the outfit shown in this pic? I'm relatively new to DAZ so I'm still a bit clueless.
My personal preference in men, is for slender swordsmen types. But, the world is not occupied by only gorgeous people, who are slender and beautiful. And there are some crafts that require serious muscles, like a blacksmith and a swordsman berserker. He would also be good as a long-haul truck driver, or any other number of jobs in our world today. And as one of the promos showed, mixed with others, he slims down. I like Bjarke as well.
As for names, taking a name from a historical period that the character is supposed to be from, I find it fascinating. The number of discussions on proper pronuciation, spellings, what the names mean, and links people add are so educational and entertaining. Keep it up Daz.
I got a discount of 20%, but honestly, at this time in the morning, even with my PC+ coupon I am not sure my price of $28.63 is the best I can get. But I am getting it. The blacksmith set mixes well with the other set https://www.daz3d.com/viking-shores-scene-and-props. ;
The seventh promo image for Kjaer looks eerily like my former manager (he's a lot smaller and skinnier than Kjaer, but the shape of the face and smile -- and the hairstyle -- are very similar). He's currently having fun on Facebook, telling all his friends that it's a photo of him from when he was younger. He also just told his girlfriend that he's going to use it as his Tinder avatar, so I foresee trouble ahead ...
I'm guessing that outfit (and hair) will be released tomorrow.

I'll probably just buy Kajaer and Bjorke. I don't need the filler in the new bundles and I resent waiting a day for hd and other items I'd rather buy to surface.

Ditto...I see yet another hair that I'd rather have included in the character bundle...so I'm being driven to buy two bundles...why not just have one?
I don't want anything in today's release short of the character...but I don't know that it'd be worth it to just buy him given that I'm PC+ and have a purple banner.

Well, I was going to buy just the two male figures which is about twenty bucks. Given the bundle deal includes a 10 dollar store credit, it seems close to even to buy the bundle vs. just buying ala carte.
I actually don't use dforce clothing or hair and am not into fantasy vikings, so really the extras are not a huge draw, but the discount off of the second bundle with purchase of this one, plus the ten dollar credit, may make it about even price wise.
Does anybody have a clue around how the banners work? Meaning...I have one today, but if I only buy the base character today...would I still get a banner for tomorrow? I'm not worried about my total G8 Pro Bundle threshold...I always have that...I'm just curious as to if the purchase of the bundle today is a gate to getting the banner for tomorrow.

With my banner, the bundle is $33.53.
It doesn't seem to react to being paired with another new release.

I like the bundle. I think the man on main promo on the revolving promo ad, looks like Billy Idol (LOL, tell me he doesn't) but that shouldn't be too astonishing and I don't think it was intentional.
The activity of blacksmithing is engaging enough for games and animations. A blacksmith would have to be muscular in real life, it's not like they are at a keyboard eating chips. I know there are still blacksmiths that ply their trade but not many and for most it amounts to a few strikes as a gang of tourist come through.
Because with the spectacular prices on these, that full bundle would have been....well....stupid expensive XD
I've got the bundle down to $28.50 in my cart. I think adding the Platinum Bundle triggered an additional discount.
edit: nope, removed the bundle and I still have that price. Maybe my banner just wasn't being reflected before.

Not bad at all, considering there's also a $10 credit for tomorrow with it. The genre isn't my thing at all, but there are enough pieces I could use here and there that it might be worth pulling the trigger. I've not yet decided.
Price is showing $25.65 in my cart now, so for me at least the pricing seems to have been fixed. With the $10 credit that brings the price down to around $16, which is fairly generous for 8 items, the problem being I already have similar of most of what is in the bundle.
There seems to be something wrong with the Blacksmith outfit. It supposed to be dForce, but once I put the outfit on Kjaer8, apply a forging 1 pose from the same package and let simulate, the mesh is going crazy. Fist medaillon seemed to be a problem and made mesh going all the way during posing simulation. Was better after I delted it. But even then the outfit survived the simulation, it went wrong during the stabilization. Or is it wrong from me to expect a dForce product to work with the simulation smoothly just out of the box?
Wouldn't be wearing jewelry while smithing.

Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven had a blacksmith as the central figure, played by Orlando Bloom, which seemed kind of dumb. It's not about Orlando's skill as an actor as much as it was his body mass.
Now, if it were Russell "Fightin' 'round the world" Crowe, another Ridley Scott guy, then it would have been a little more believable than Orlando Bloom.

No, if you get just the base character you won't get a banner for tomorrow's bundle if there is one. I've done this a couple of times and always miss out on what everybody's talking about the next day with the new banner.
I was going to get just him and the hair but that's 20 bucks and the bundle is 25 with all the discounts so I'm on the fence what to do. I already have a blacksmith outfit from I think Vladimir's bundle and I've never once used it. I don't know, it's early in the day still for me to decide.

Well, for an extra $5, you would get $10 store credit tomorrow, so it seems like a no-brainer to me.
Add another debut or still new release in your cart. The extra discount for 2 or more debut / still new releases wasn't applying to the bundle earlier; but it has been fixed now.
