Morning. A few bedraggled songbirds protesting the dreary grey fog hanging like damp cotton wool on the city skyline so far today :)

i've had nobody to talk to for 3 days. i'm pretty sure no one will visit me when it's nursing home time. sigh

Sunny beach on a South Pacific island looks attractive on a day like today :)

hey all, just dropping through to say 'hello' and apologize for disappearing - life has been 'interesting' lately :-S

... and the periodic bouts of 'peace' I have crawled into a book and disappeared!

anyway, hope all of you are doing well and I should hopefully be back to 'regular' soon...

What can one do for nausea with no medicine available?

Maybe stop drinking that iced coffee?

    Dana

Ginger Ale, if you can find it, works well, or a mild ginger tea (MILD!). Both have saved me in the past.

Ginger Ale is AWESOME for an upset/nausea stomach! works great...

if you need a little something in your stomach (because you haven't been eating because of feeling so yucky), try a *small* bowl of vanilla ice cream (ONLY vanilla) while you sip your ginger ale (sounds weird I admit, but it works). Graham crackers (plain) also work, though ironically not as well as vanilla ice cream.

there is an over the counter nausea med you can pick up in most pharmacies: emetrol (it is an liquid - and doesn't even taste bad, though it should be taken with extreme caution if you are diabetic due to its high sugar value). Works wonders (plus it tends to be cheap)

It's Monday, and you know what that means! :blank: COMPLAINTS! :bug:

    - Shoulder cramps from sitting up in bed watching football all afternoon/evening (my own fault)
    - Cold junk food machine is out of milk :long:
    - Going to be hot and muggy, getting lunch will be miserable
    - Didn't compose any music this weekend

    Non-complaints:

    - Nice, fresh hot coffee :cheese:
    - Breakfast burrito
    - Quiet morning at work
    - Cheap cab ride, driver knew a sneaky fast back way to work + no traffic
    - RAVENS WON! GO RAVENS! :cheese:
    - TEXANS WON GO TEXANS!
    - Have a dribble of content money left, maybe get some gear for Aiko's Gothic Sushi (she's whining about no supplies)

I hope everyone has as good a Monday as possible... :blank:

Monday was good. Tuesday is ugly dreary grey and gloomy so far tho

I have stopped drinking ice coffee. I am home now and won't drink any more coffee until tomorrow.

    Do you feel better now?

Yeah but I drank a big cup of tea and took an ambian. I got some sleep but now up and munching on chips. I think I should ave ad a small cup of sleepy time, peppermint and valarian tea.

Oh no my bag of chips is almost empty. How can I have a true munching madness violation with just one signal serving size bag of chips?

I hope I can check this out at a reasonable time of day and when I am sure I am awake and that odd feeling of wanting to raid the pantry is subdued. Right now there is the house lady in the kitchen but I want a cookie or other munchies.

It's Tuesday, bright and sunny outside, clear, hot, humid, and otherwise pretty unpleasant unless you like sunning yourself on a rock. :blank:

Another day of cranking out driver code, listening to my co-workers moan and complain, trying to stay awake. I'm going to go out for a latte' and some breakfast, dag nab it!

Now I am wondering why Ambian was prescribed to me and also who prescribed it to me? I thought a doctor cannot prescribe a medicine to someone unless they met them first. I saw the medicine package and I did not recognize the doctor's name.

As hot and humid as it is outside, a salad sounds pretty darn good. I think the local burger joint makes a chef salad.. nummy! :cheese:

Head hurts, just finished the SPI driver and self-test on power-up, now researching the analog-to-digital converter so I can write the driver for IT. :bug: Lordy, I need to find an easier job! :long:
