ack, someone in my neighborhood has a major water leak. The city has turned off the water to our block temporarily while they work on it but I was in the middle of doing laundry. >_<</p>

They say it should be on in an hour and a half but I got four more loads to do tonight.

Morning. A mob of tiny but raucus orangey brown birds foraging for breakfast in our trees and calling out the sun from behind marbly white clouds in a storm streaked sky outside my window :)

Morning. Back-to-winter overcast grey stole our sun as it rose before and like some grumpy neighbour holding on to a ball kicked over their fence hasn't bought it back :)

sun left new york bout an hour ago last seen headed west :)

Was a great sunny day here yesterday so can't complain too much about the grey one today. Less than ten sleeps until sssppprrrrrriiiiinnnnnggg !

spring starts earlier there than our autumn, the 21st. it's been a real ice summer weather wise, they predicting an extra cold winter here.
...not again. I'd really consider moving to a more hospitable clime after what y'all suffered through last year back there.

i wouldn't mind moving closer to the beer :)

Spent yesterday doing RPG stuff with several friends.

Pic drop related to the game below.

Was also an exercise in "cinematic" lighting/effects using several different techniques including flagging with AoA's lights, Nerd3D's Fog Tool, HeroFX and Jepe's SteamZ planes and even an UberVolume cone.

3 second animation took 30 minutes to render nd came out horribly wrong. Will try later, but the DS 4.6 timeline, while simple, at least makes sense. :blank:

Don't know why they give you non linear keyframe interpolation as a default, seem to spend a lot of time turning it off no matter which software it is. Ease in and out is only really useful once a basic movement starts to look good. Must be a coder thing they seem to do it because they can

100 year anniversary of the WWI De Havilland Farman Experimental 2 pusher biplane. It didn't have any cockpit armour for pilots and was worse for observers who stood out of the fuselage on the sides of the nacelle to operate the rearward facing armament (Took hours to remap and retopo the model as far as I did) They didn't carry parachutes in those days :)

...interesting that it had a four bladed prop. Back in those days most (if not all) had only two.

Geoffrey De Havilland was a great innovator

What would be real useful is functionality to spread keyframes over time for several jointed objects, for example shoulder arm hand, as they come to rest but don't think there is a convenient algorithm for that
