Pretty good game.. Packers ahead right now, which I didn't expect, but there's lots of game left.

    Time for another beer... ;-)

    ...that didn't last for long.

    [big sports complaint]

So much for Rodger's saying 'We're Ready" the other week.

They looked totally out of sync, the run defence was as porous as last year with Lynch carving through it like a knife through warm Wisconsin butter. They had no answer for Wilson. They had no "Plan B" after Seattle keyed in on Lacy, becoming totally one dimensional depending solely on Rodgers arm once again.

...and then there was the clincher hen McCarthy pulled a "Belotti" (Mike Bellotti was the Oregon Coach well known for making bonehead mistakes that prevented his team from winning) by going for it on 4th and 12 on Seattle's 43 with 7 min in the third quarter to go and down only 10. That last move backfired tremendously, shifting the field position game in Seattle's favour.

Add to that the wasted timeouts in the first half, two which covered for bonehead mistakes (too many men on the field and later that terrible snap that went into the backfield)). There was another muffed punt late in the first half which had it been reviewed, would have gone Green Bay's way (resulting in a Packer touchdown), but with no timeouts left, McCarthy couldn't throw the challenge flag.

Too many costly mistakes for a team that said it was "ready" to take on anyone. They need to stop "talking the talk" until they can prove they are able to "walk the walk".

I left the pub after the third quarter when Seattle was 1st & goal about to go up by 19. No reason to continue watching knowing what outcome would be: another loss in Seattle (next time these two meet it needs to be in Green Bay for that's three consecutive seasons now we had to play in their "house"). Guess I'm not as envious of my friend as he paid 250$ for the pleasure of watching that embarrassing train wreck. I only spent 9$ - 7 for the beer and 2 for the tip (and it was only a ten minute walk instead of 4+ hour bus ride to get home).

    Wisconsin Badgers: Losers
    Milwaukee Brewers: Losers
    Green Bay Packers: Losers

Then there's the Milwaukee Bucks, owners of the worst W-L record in the NBA last season (and who didn't even get the #1 pick in the lottery for all their troubles).

New motto for State of Wisconsin: "The Cheeseball Loser State".

    [/big sports complaint]

Morning. A mob of turtledoves in our garden cooing and scratching for breakfast making for a noisy start to the day :)

Hmmm...we have Mourning Doves around here...I couldn't say that they're noisy. In the city there are Rock Doves (what people commonly call pigeons). There were a lot of them in my old city. I don't go into the center much here. I don't think I ever saw a Mourning Dove before I moved here.

..in the 34 years I've been in the Northwest I only ever heard one, that was while walking from the bus stop to my former job one morning.

Heard crickets for the first time this year the other evening when I as going tough the neighbourhood park. Then again last night when I went for an evening walk.

    putting TEA kettle on. :)

i bought 2 tubs of ice cream sprinkles on the way home. nothing like the sound of sprinkles hitting the plate to de-stress.

    Teaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! :) :)

i used to love dunkin lorna doones and vanilla wafers in my tea.

would watch wpix, the original twilight zone, followed by a honeymooners.
ralph would get himself all worked up about something.

tea and a honeymooners episode, right to sleep.
...unfortunately Lorna Doones have become so bloody expensive these days like everything else I used to like when I as young. Have you seen the price of Wheaties, the big Shredded Wheat biscuits, or Wheat Chex? Almost 5$ a box! I remember when they used to be three of the cheapest cereals on the store shelf.

...interesting, they have a Boeing 737-900 on the weight/size chart. This guy is about as long from nose to tail as the original Boeing 737series 100. Think of having that tromp around your "neighbourhood".

So I wonder when we'll see a 3D mesh of this fellow.

@KK - yeah, for about 20 plays I thought GB had a decent chance.. by the half, I had almost lost interest.. I fell asleep in the 4th., just.. meh. Didn't take much to see what the end would be.

My Ravens play Sunday, I have some hope they'll have a good season. My other team, the Texans.. hopeless this season, I'm sure. :long:

Will need to do some character studies this weekend - Kiera is set, Aiko I have a character picked out for, Vicky and Mike are up in the air, and I want to find a place for Josie in the mix since I want a high-schooler in all of this.

Up for next week is story outline for Night Wings, fill in some characters, and push it forward.

    Much to do..!

--Losers, Tired of supporting them (not just in sports), tired of being one.
--Stuffy, sultry, difficult to sleep night last night.
--Gonna be back in the 90s through the weekend again with more 90s forecast for later next week.
--Feel I'm losing interest in my projects. Hard to just sit and watch a render cook with nothing else to do as I no longer have Net service from home.
--Stupid election campaigns still pestering me even after I told them to drop me from their lists.

    Non Complaints:

--Only eleven more days before I am gainfully employed again (after all these months actually looking forward to it).
--"Dreado-burger" and Beer night. 1/2 pound of super duper lean (96%) ground steak hand formed, specially seasoned, and ready for the grill tonight (still need to stop off and get the beer).

...yeah Yawnulus must have shown up at my place after I got back.from the pub last night. Didn't feel much like working on any scenes/rendering, so laid back for a couple moments, dozed off, and suddenly it was after 10:00pm. (got home a little past 8:00). When I woke up it was so hot and stuffy had to go out for a walk.

Only had 4 "soda pop" beers (the cheap stuff) in the span of three hours so it had to be Yawnulus. it usually takes a several of the "high octane" brews (6% or higher) to do that.

...88° here right now with the hottest part of the day still about three hours away.

Have to go run a few more errands, then maybe stop at the Coalition Brewing "Tasting Room" later for a couple pints. They have a great brew called Double Dog Dare an 8.2% version of their Two Dogs IPA.

I went to Little Ceasers to see if they had a five dollar pizza deal. It is now a six dollar pizza deal, but I ended up bringing home a pizza. I did share some with the others. Just a slice per person. It was so hard bringing the pizza home. I could not touch it on the bus, but still two pieces were gone by time I got home. (Just because I could not touch it on the bus did not mean I could not while waiting for the next bus)

It was tempting on the bus, but I was a good girl and did not eat any on the bus.

They would take a LOT of Mike-burgers to fill up o.o... in order to support a body length and weight like that, his muscle system would require a whole football team of Mike-burgers, each hour o.0... and can you imagine being around when two of them "got frisky"? >_<.</p>

A little disappointed at the "artistic representation" though - looks like a larger specimen of one of DinoRaul's models already available (I'm not sure what the name is - not into dinosauralia ;-)... I wonder if Nessie ("Loch Ness Monster") might be a distant cousin...
