OMG! $10 for a slice of pizza? I can get a large pizza for that much
2-1/2 more hours and I can head out.. going to the biker bar for beer and music, won't stay out late since there's the fair tomorrow.
$10 for a slice of bug pizza.. oh well, worth it for the bragging rights! Wonder if I can get t-shirt that says "I ate scorpion pizza"... :gulp:
Apparently proved so popular at the Calgary Stampeded that they ran out and had to get fresh supplies in.

These days a one hour show is probably only forty minutes without commercials. The first ones I recorded years ago were the Star Trek series. They were 52 minutes with no commercials, if I recall correctly. Pretty soon there will be more commercial time than program time.

ETA: I don't know where you're watching the Sleepy Hollow episodes, but they might be cutting something out of the repeats.
As for the Growing Up, there is supposed to be ages down to about 5yo. You might have to actually read the help me to find out where the dials are.
i picked up the season1 dvd set. watched 7 episodes so far. only 5 left.
they telling Ichabod about the dna testing and Jefferson's kids. He said something like, "you think you know somebody."
tee hee. he freaked when he saw the tax on the donuts.

That's another thing...12 episodes is not a season! >:-( That's a mini-series.

Growing Up sliders are here.
They sell scorpion lolly pops at a convenience store where I buy gas. I often use them as Halloween decorations. ....by the by, I thought the "Regain Control of Your Breasts" email from DAZ was spam! :ohh:
Chuckles, you are not alone there http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/46891/
Morning. Big bright blue sky and sunshine gllding the first few blossoms on our old pear tree :)
Depends where you are. Doctor Who used to be about twenty-six half-hour(ish) episodes in its original format, but other than that 9and soaps) UK series usually ran for one season, so thirteen episodes) at a time (at most). That is, a season of a series was equal to a calendar season.

Well, the subject was a US program, and I'm in the US, and so I'm speaking of programming here. A season used to be between 21 and 24 episodes. Check back to the 60s and 70s, look at boxed sets of series like Star Trek, The Addams Family, etc. Now some networks even break them up and show 6 episodes during the spring and another 6 during the autumn or winter (as an example). So there's not even continuity. You have to watch the last one to remember what the hell was happening before you start the second half of the season.
Ten or twelve episodes is sometimes not even long enough for them to flesh out characters properly. No wonder so many shows are cancelled before they even hit their stride.

Until all the craziness lately, a season used to start just after the kiddies were back in school, and ended around when they were getting out for summer vacation. So sometime in September until sometime in June, with a few breaks during the holiday season.

>.<</div> Water laying around in the street would be a wonder here :)
How that all turned out :)
Doesn't seem to have made it past the net nanny here  Or a flood :)
Shorter season make it easier to book actors :)
Football final today, the 'hood is absolutely packed with footy fans. That is my complaint.
Nicely done!

... it's 5:30 on a Saturday and I want to go back to bed. Unfortunately, I can't. Fiance has to drive down to Brownsville to move an office and I'm to go with him.
Two n a half Hours later we arrive in Brownsville. There is a pond across the street with some duckies.
It was pouring off and on all through the drive
I tried to take a pic of the ducks but they are in the shade
I am at the library and found out they have speakers and somehow this computer was not on mute.
Good morning! Sounds very nice! :cheese:
Looks great - I love the atmosphere!
9:33AM, up and about. Running a bit behind, so I'll leave for brekkie around 10:15AM, eat, then bus down to the Fair and head to the Midway for a slice of SCORPION PIZZA! :ahhh: The Midway doesn't open until 11, and I should arrive about Noon.
Warm and sunny, definitely light shirt weather, and I'll be wearing my hat as well. Camera charged, field recorder ready, so I can capture the sights and sounds of the Fair.
Probably come home tonight and crash out - crowds tire and frustrate me, I normally avoid crowded events but.. eh, this time I'll put up with it. Just this once, though!
I'll post pics tomorrow or Monday.
