You Can't Spell "Sickleyield" without "Sick"

I've been a customer here for years. At...that other place for even longer. I've browsed thousands of items for suitability as additions to my own runtime.

I have to say with all due respect that "Singers of Chzor" is, without a doubt, one of the ickiest, nastiest, grossest, most viscerally disturbing nightmares I have ever seen come out of a 3D modeling program.

Well played, Sickleyield. *uses tongs to put in cart* :cheese:

You almost say that as if the words "Sickleyield" and "awesomely irresistible" don't belong in the same sentence. :)

I'm far far far over budget for this daggone festival... but SickleYield is the reason I'm DazAddicted in the first place, and I only recently realized she did more than just make awesomely versatile clothing.

I'm making myself wait an entire day for the Singers of Chzor.. but there's no way I'm not getting it.

    many thanks, SY

Not sure 'sick' is something which really applies to these products (just about any creature-based model seems able to pose eating a human being, if scaled the right way), but am very glad someone's put this together, as I've been needing some Lovecraftian-themed models for a while - especially a pose-friendly tentacle. :)

Special thanks for including the various different skin colours for diversity!

Looks absolutely amazing. Unfortunately I am so broke now, after the PA sale, that I'll have to stop myself from purchasing in favor of having food.

Will purchase at the first chance, though. Nice work, Sickleyield.

Really impressed by the Singers of Chzor! Think I'll most probably be getting them!

Nothing like bunches of living spaghetti to decorate your renders with. %-P

Thanks guys! I'm so glad you like/are viscerally disturbed by/recognize the essential uncanniness of our tentacled overlords!

    MUAHAHAHA.

    Ahem.

For those who can't afford things, you have my sympathy, and don't worry, things always come back around to being on sale 'round here.

Here's a bonus render from my deviantart page showing off one of the pose combos from the pose expansion. Feel free to post yours!

    how do you pronounce chzor?

A mortal dares not pronounce it, lest they draw the cold eyeless attention of eldritch abominations from beyond the *SMACK*

    Ahem.

    It's pronounced Kuh-ZOR.

Not at all, actually! I wanted something that sounded Lovecraftian without using something from Lovecraft. If the set does well (and it seems to be so far) I want to build a larger mythos around it with half-human tentacled hybrids, etc.

I bought the bundle as well and I am going to use the poses with the Alien face-hugger stuff I have. My only problem is the slime. I may have to add it via Photoshop. Nice bundle we need more Poses and tentacles in the bundle but great job on the 3D Halloween trick or treat. Looking forward to more Lovecraft stuff from you ; )

Very carefully — to make sure you never, ever pronounce it correctly... :ahhh:

    You misspelled Dagon.

Cthulhu is on fast grab if you need more eldritch horrors to go with the singers.

Sorry, I'm afraid not. Barring a major change in how Poser works, no super-rig I make will be able to have Poser support. This is not because I hate Poser users - not at all. I'd grab that demographic if I could. It's because it's just not feasible for technical reasons. There are good reasons why you don't see rigs with 2000+ bones being made for Poser. I could talk about rigging all day long, but the bottom line is that it's just not reasonable.

I used Ron's slime brushes for the pic I added to this thread, and I really recommend them for this use.

This image should totally be in your promo art. =-) It really shows the tentacles to good advantage.

Ewwww!!! I put on a bio hazard suit covered in elder signs before I put this stuff in my cart!
But, the Cthulhu twins* are happy to have pets now. :ahhh:

*I have several versions, the one here at Daz is best

Ok, here's an odd question. I just read Call of Cthulhu a week ago or so, and he's described as being gelatinous. Anyone have an idea what the refractive index of jello is?

    really, that sounded strange....:ohh:

    Greetings,
Mine. I pronounced it 'Ch-Zor', but it might as well be Iä! Iä! Chzor fhtagn...

(Maybe it's that pharyngeal consonant part of the Chet character from Hebrew... That'd work well. You know, if we didn't have Word of God on how it was pronounced and just wanted to say it in a crazy way that sounded like we're clearing our throat but we're actually summoning an eldritch being in a color not found in the natural or artificial worlds because we're tired of existing anyway, and this way we don't have to return that damn mower that we borrowed and never filled the tank back up with gas because THERE'S AN ELDER GOD IN MY GODDAMN GARAGE having conjugal visits with the selfsame lawnmower... Where was I...right, Hebrew 'chet'. That works well. Yeah.)

Are we talking Euclidean or non-Euclidean geometry? ;-)

SickleYield, it looks like you did an amazing job with this set. Though I don't have a pressing need for tentacle beasties, I almost bought it anyway...probably would have, except a bunch of your other products jumped into my cart first and then my credit card recoiled in terror... Well, Chzor will lurk in the eldritch, stygian depths of my wish list for now...biding its time, waiting for the day when it will rise...
