Good and gross, I'd purchase it if it was in Poser format as well?

Sorry, I'm afraid not. Barring a major change in how Poser works, no super-rig I make will be able to have Poser support. This is not because I hate Poser users - not at all. I'd grab that demographic if I could. It's because it's just not feasible for technical reasons. There are good reasons why you don't see rigs with 2000+ bones being made for Poser. I could talk about rigging all day long, but the bottom line is that it's just not reasonable.
I gave it a go anyway.
    using D3D DSON import script
like my studio rigged stuff, bits of geometry gets chopped off
    Poses work though

of course in DS using octane (i am rendering an ani) they rock

Oh good, I can see my wobbler mangroves are already eroding some of your sanities. Joooooin Meeeeeeee...

And that's one of the good reasons why I didn't do it, Wendy (not counting the shaders I spent so long on). The companion file system hates huge custom bone rigs.

I have a question about the tentacles. How easy are they to pose? I am thinking particularly of the individual tentacle. I am familiar with easy pose, is it something like that?

It has bend, twist and side-side pose controls for the whole thing, the top half and the bottom half. You'll probably need to use multi select posing to refine the end pose if creating your own interacting with figures.

Well, you've made me afraid of my own creation. That music is terrifying. Just legitimately creepy. Well done.

I'd think it'd work fine. The parrot-beak-like mouth seems very octopus-like.

Nice renders, Artini. I bet those would also look really great if you applied translucent shaders to them.

Thanks for the comments, Atticus Bones. I do not know, if I have any translucent shaders, yet, but will search for them.

I've been a customer here for years. At...that other place for even longer. I've browsed thousands of items for suitability as additions to my own runtime.

I have to say with all due respect that "Singers of Chzor" is, without a doubt, one of the ickiest, nastiest, grossest, most viscerally disturbing nightmares I have ever seen come out of a 3D modeling program.

Well played, Sickleyield. *uses tongs to put in cart* :cheese:

Yes, the one whose name cannot be mentioned.....

    Sickle dear,
I have a puzzling situation you cannot help me with
unless of course you use carrara
{and the fact it even loads and works in carrara at all is a good thing as much triax rigged stuff other than the genesis and genesis 2 figures does not)
    the thing is it works
    but sloooooooooooowly
carrara keeps not responding every step even tweaking surfaces
puppeteer is impossible as is play back of animation
    poses load but again slooooowly
    not much RAM being used
just wondering what could be so resource intensive about it?

in fact I am going to as in carrara forum as I think some like DAZ_Spooky may have a better idea what is going on and may help solve some of the issues carrara is having with duf format in general
I REALLY want them to get carrara to use DAZ content, all of it.

Here's one I did, with the Singers dressed up a bit differently. ;-)

Maybe the man is Randolph Carter in one of his previous incarnations, exploring a city in unknown Kadath. ;-)

    Hehe! I love it!

    Wendy:

It has a LOT of bones. That alone is probably enough to explain the lag (and is a big part of why I didn't support it for Poser and other programs). DAZ Studio is uniquely able to handle that, and even it has a little lag if you turn resolution above base when using the big Mama!

    could be,
I am rendering a 4000x2000 image series of 1 000 of em replicated squirming on a sphere with a spherical camera to use as a 360 animated BG
    is going reasonably
    4min a frame
    setting up was a bugger

    Carrara equivalent to instancing
all identical and carrara does animated textures so my rendered BG can be looped afterwards
will also surface replicate them in a cave maybe later and do a pan around with Cthulhu in it for my next planned JaguarElla video
    where she must kiss him
might if it lets me, add metaball particle drool
