Of the 9 soldiers who died in the Black Hawk midair collision, one was from the Pensacola area (Milton, FL)  He also served at Fort Carson, CO which was my old installation. Thoughts and prayers to all the servicemen and the service woman's families. Training is very dangerous in the military, there is never anything routine about it.

Agree with both posts @Novica. The news of the crash was terrible.

I need to note that I only found you had a new post today, 5 April, four days later. I check daily to see if you have a new review of a product or if someone else has posted a render or information.

Condolences to the families of the lost soldiers.

A platoon mate left to re-up to the regular Army to get the MOS he wanted after our unit was not given funds to send him to the promised MOS training and he was sent to be stationed at Fort Carson initiallly for his AIT MOS training. I still have the two Chinese hats (the sort that look like the tip of an arrow made of grass straw of some type) he sent my mother after the Army had sent him to South Korea. She loved using those hats to garden in as they stayed put, kept the sun off, and are comfortable. I'll always be thankful he did that for her. Does anybody know what the name of those Chinese hats are in English?

I've always known them as "rice hats", and that is indeed one of the accepted names: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_conical_hat

English terms for the hat include sedge hat, rice hat, paddy hat, bamboo hat, and—historically but now only offensively—coolie hat.

The forum threads have gone bonkers on counts, alerts, and everything again. Even when someone has posted there name doesn't show up as last, but the previous person does, or maybe three other people have posted. I have just taken to trying to track threads I am interested in and open regardless of if they appear like they did the last time I saw them.

Good Morning Novica! Happy Easter Monday.

Couple interesting things in Fast Grab-
The Ferris Wheel has quite a few viewpoints for "other" good scenes, whether you use the Ferris Wheel or not. For under $5, you can use that colorful wall for backdrops, it's got a picnic table, park bench, etc.

(Not in Fast Grab)  Toon Horse for Daz 3 goes a couple dollars cheaper than the best price it's been, when you use that additional 30% off new items (goes to 50%)
There's also a Magix Kings Cottage in Fast Grab that has a lot of opportunities.

Funny you popped in- love your Gaming Room (see his signature) with the ring light and dual monitors, and it's on sale which is an added bonus. Been totally immersed in gaming as my son Ben JUST moved from Florida and is the assistant manager for Waypoint Lounge in Oklahoma, which is a NINE THOUSAND square foot gaming / bar venue. I believe he's number 4 in the world in Smash Bros Ultimate (Nintendo) and he just won the tournament this weekend at Waypoint playing a different character every game just for the fun of it. My fav of course was Pikachu!  (and the only round he lost...)   Here's some streams- Twitch TV  and if you click on that top box > sign you'll get to see Ben at the start of the 16:34 second one, where he picks a funny character just for laughs and wins. He loves his black beanies, he's the one on the left. Any of you close to Tulsa OK the Waypoint Lounge is in Sapulpa, about 15 minutes southwest of Tulsa.

BTW the reason I bought Yun Lan is I think she'd make a perfect doll. Just shrink her down and what an adorable doll for a kid to hold!

thank you for the shout out :) ....and that sounds unreal!!!! .....I will definitely check out the stream :D  .....I am a massive fan of retro games :D

I was scrolling through the bedroom sets, and saw an oldie but goodie- take a look at the gallery entries for Village Bedroom- some fantastic vintage stuff there! If you need an old room, this one is awesome. Was 80 cents at one point, still a great deal!

    Hi @Novica,

I found this story on Twitter and thought you would enjoy it. It is on the New York Times, https://nyti.ms/41k47d2 and is about Striker a Samoyed who is retired from being a show dog.

If you can't open it there, let me know, I can gift articles with my subscription.

PS, My flatmate and I have adopted two orange tabbies, males who are bonded mates and special needs. They had been in foster care since January and we pick them up on this Thursday. I have been spending my Daz money fixing up a special place for them and buying all the things two very special guys need. The smallest, Simon, was born with three legs. They are also terrified of people.

Aww, I remember him. When he won the working class, I was thinking "It's about time!"  While stunningly gorgeous, Samoyeds are extremely capable, hard working dogs. Ci Pwff, my Samoyed, comes from astounding lineage- his dad was flown in from Slovenia! His parents and grandparents travel the world,  but I hope they get more of a normal life That part about giving the dog a bath every other week and putting raincoats on him made me cringe. Ci Pwff is a dirty, happy Sammie!

    Ci Pwff's dad- international champion
    CI Pwff's grandfather on dad's side-international champion
Ci Pwff's grandmother on dad's side- international champion
Ci Pwff's grandfather on mother's side- international champion

Ci Pwff- Champion of snuggling and definitely winner of the Sammie Smile. NEVER hesitates to go out in the rain and do a shimmy-shake as  close to me as possible when he comes back indoors. How WET fur still manages to float and coat everything within a fifty foot radius is beyond me.

I am so excited for those kitties!!! They hit the jackpot with you!  Be sure and document everything- from where they are when you pick them up, the car ride home, getting home- that will be your favorite photos! (And we want to see them!)

Picking Ci Pwff up at the airport, right before they started shutting them down during Covid. I had tried for three years to get a rescue group Sammie, but they only adopted locally (that's how I got mine in Houston, a Dallas group let me adopt.)

Note his eyes are the pretty silver brown, I love that color!  The airport pictures are still my favorite photos, bringing him to Florida and the look on his face when we placed him in the grass. He sprawled out and couldn't get enough of it. The United personnel had a fun story to relay- in Atlanta, the ground crew couldn't get enough of Pwff, they had him out of the crate a "tad bit more" than they normally would have. They are super with pets, I did my research. They actually change out dirty pads, give fresh water and load the water container (the kind that attaches to the front wire inside the cage, see second photo) with ice cubes so the dog has water for more than an hour. Cool, no pun intended!

Still not full grown in this one, coat STILL growing out! One of my favorites, I was walking in the back yard and he was just sitting there, watching. (Smart dog, it was almost 90 degrees. That's not blush- I'm really getting hot!  I don't let him go out more than 3-5 minutes at a time and we go in and out a lot throughout the day.)  Then he comes inside to his Vornado high velocity fan. (Highly recommend, really blows air!)

I just love that huge smile- so happy!  Feels SO much better than a hard crate.

When the car started moving, he was alert and like, "Yes!!! Let's get this show on the road- literally!"

Here's from two days ago. (I take TONS of pics.)

They have the entire house to lay down, and I have a blanket for my Weimareiner to snuggle into as Pwff has his own fan. But I get up for one minute from my chair and...  (and look at the Weim's expression!)

He's got half an acre of grass, but heck no.

And more dirt.  Sammies are just SO regal when they're interested in something. But still smiling! Did you know it's actually part of the AKC breed standard that the dog must exhibit the Sammie Smile? It's true!

So it's been awhile, let's see some pics of your FIDS! (fur kids.)  The weather is hopefully warming up and our favorite pals can start enjoying a bit of warm weather before it gets really hot and with lots of humidity. UGH. And of course, hurricane season is on the way next month.

    Gilia HD (G8F)
This is Gilia with a lot of tweaking. I'll have to see if I can find the duf file as I didn't name it by the character. The Gilia skin is nice, of course I like the eyebrows which aren't pencil thin. Really nice, natural looking teeth too.

One thing I'd like vendors to take note of- short sleeve tees in the store are all pretty much the same. The sleeves are WAY TOO SHORT. It's kinda embarrassing for the ones I've found. I tried scaling but that also makes the seams glaringly big. I did it a bit with this one. Anyone got a longer t-shirt in the sleeves that I didn't see?

Was looking to find the hair I used (anyone know right off the bat?)  and saw Dailey Hair in my library, haven't used it yet. But then down the rabbit hole-  look at it in the gallery for a Grace Kelly render! Let's give that one some thumbs up love!  Any of you used that hair and want to showcase it?  Thumbs up @BirthStone  it looks good from the promos!

Ooh, that dog fur looks incredibly soft! I like that bed too- is it a like a sealy posturepedic bed for dogs? I've seen those at TJ Maxx. The cat of course, is queen of the world, looking down at HER domain. She allows you to live there. And it's good to see I'm not the only one whose computer area gets absconded with. Seriously, it's like they just WAIT for us to leave the area for a miniscule moment.
