Question: Do you think it would be easy to apply a hat on the
Stack Perm Hair ?
I use SickleYield's Hat & Hair Helper to accomplish this kind of thing.
For whatever reason, Stack Perm Hair is resistant to morphing by the Hat & Hair Helper. I'm not sure why. Maybe a different hair technology.
(not saying it's aliens, but it's aliens)
It may be tough to get it to match up well with a hat? You could try to Parent to the Head, then use some other deformer to TRY to morph the hair under a hat... but Hat & Hair Helper for G8F does not seem to work here. I didn't seem to have success with a primitive torus as a hair shaper, either... but I didn't try for long... and then it locked up my computer, so I gave up.

Sometimes it’s easier to just do a separate render of the hat alone then layer it on the main render in Photoshop (or Gimp). I often find it much easier to render things in layers then fix in post...

She reminds me of actress Dawanda Wise.. I have the bundle in my cart, but I'm also interested in this hair. Can anyone tell me about this hair and where I can find it
Something different than the main theme, mainly because I wanted to use some of the Valhalla set I just picked up along with the Samarah Rogue outfit from the other day. Jada is a fantastic character.
Interesting character, shame I can't afford them anymore. We used to get discounts with individual characters before Tafi took over, everything is so expensive now.

it is. I'm still buying, but slowing down. It will get to the point of not being able to. I'm close. Buying more PC+ stuff and waiting for sales unless its something that just strikes me. This bundle I like, nearly all the stuff other than the poses and nails. but I did some calculating with just what I wanted and it comes out less expensive to buy the bundle. I might cut back though and just get the figure.
Jada just became my first 8.1 bundle purchase (though not my first 8.1 base character). I had a little bit of a scare when I added the G8F Centaur anatomy to Jada and found that the geoshell wasn't working properly, but I discovered that you could rectify this by renaming the body surface back to "torso" before adding the anatomy. You are all welcome.
I like the new character a lot.
Seems like Jacqueline, Jazz and Jada are part of a thematic series.
I'm digging the larger scale theme - it ensures there's plenty of choice for a pretty in-depth story/scene. Although they've done themed bundles in the past, with a few standalone items released alongside, quite often there just wasn't enough.
Whilst some people might not appreciate the kitsch 70s theme this time around, I sincerely hope that Daz puts a similar emphasis on the next theme. This is a good direction.
So many great renders of Jada 8.1 in this thread. She's really very pretty. I might just end up getting her after all, despite already having many beautiful young black female characters in my library. Hm...

How does one rename a surface?
I've found my own work-arounds, but this might be more convenient.
Toyen, PixelSploiting and alienarea, your portraits are simply great.
Jada is the first G8.1 character I like, and at least she made it onto my Wishlist. Now, only DS 4.15 keeps me from downloading the 8.1 basics...
Maybe the figures of this series are slowly getting better. I also didn't like the first characters of G8F with their strange 'Joker' mouths, but that has improved enormously. G8 became my favourite Genesis generation.

Geometry editor tool, you can then do it in the Tool Settings pane.
Here's the Product Description (in my account library), plus the associated image:
Jada 8.1 brings a bold a fearless flair to any scene!
Jada knows she has a voice, and she isn't afraid to use it. She's gone undercover to catch criminals and support her community. While her job calls for a variety of looks, she'll choose bright and bold outfits whenever possible, especially when she's out in her roller skates!
Add a daring heroine to your next project with Jada 8.1!
For additional savings, check out the Jada 8.1 Undercover Roller Girl Bundle.
So... yes? Some kind of counterpart for Jazz 8.1, the Undercover Cop who is Cool yet Low on Time, High on Crime.
(And are we getting another CAR in a bundle?)
I honestly thought that product description was a parody of the other product descriptions for these characters when someone posted it in another thread. I did not believe it was real. It's more word salad-y than the others, and she's another undercover... cop? civilian? But this time, on skates! Colorful and bold! Fights crime and supports her community!
Really though, it's the "support[s] her community" bit that really gets me. It just feels... Off somehow... But, flavor text aside, she looks awesome.

To me she really should be marketed as a vigilante instead of an undercover cop. the part about "and support her community" makes it sound like law enforcement isn't getting the job done.

Roller derby girl by day, vigilante hero by night? They could've gone either Arrowverse style or traditional noir trenchcoat, or all of the above. Think of the outfits! Such a missed opportunity. Evocative without being on the nose.

Great character. Love the head asymmetry. Skipped the bundle.
That is Jada 8.1 HD out of the box with Lainey hair and Ginny 8.1 pbr eyes.

Looks like Wilona hair with a little added length.
BOOM!! I'm going to try that

Another random test render/image...
I'm loving Jada so much. I can't wait to play with her myself.!!!
just picked up some of her outfits.

Today's Retro Flashback add-ons are a bit of a mess. The whole offer is named "Jada 8.1 in Space".
Then the add-ons come and two of them are apparently not for Jada 8.1:
One is definitely a Jacqualine 8.1 add-on, one is meant for Brooke 8.1.
Dear Daz, can we get some consistency, please? Pretty please?
I'm digging the new bundle, although we have nicer antique home computers from PC+.
That Atari is nice, though. All it needs is the "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" cartridge to be 110% awesome.
/still don't know what I will do for an undercover rollerskating crime-fighting Jada contest image...
I really like her, bought the first bundle! Everyone images look great!
Totally agree - such a stark contrast to Jazz.

Would somebody be so kind and make a render of Laverne, but with Jada as a base instead of Monique? I'm just curious. Thank you!
@Hylas I have a render running right now but will as soon as its done if noone else has before I get back.

@Hylas This is Jada 8.1 with Laverne dialed in (both at 100%), Monique dialed out and Lavernes skin applied.
Thank you!

Really missing the HD for this.
Huh. That's the Looking back outfit that was released with Monique 8. Never realized.
