Nice renders!
(Not sure about attaching rollerskates to a mermaid. Like, where would you put the skate? Over the whole tail?)
I think that's it for my rendering until I get the Contest thing done.
I'm 100% including rollerskates on my Jada for the Contest!!!! (And maybe a skating Jazz as well.)
Okay, already submitted my contest entry... so here's a modified version (it isn't the same image that I emailed for the contest in case that is a problem for the contest rules, which IMO should not prevent us from sharing the image in the gallery because that would be dumb... but you never know with rules).
Somewhat inspired by the artwork of Ernie Barnes (whose artwork one might recognize from the old TV show, "Good Times"... I'm no expert in Afro-American art, but I know what I like. I like the provocative body posing that he does).
And, dang it, I'm going to keep on trying to do some 1-frame visual storytelling even if I'm not sure that it matters.
(Her face is straight fire here, IMO. Maybe the best of the SP figures.)

EDIT: Also, ROLLERSKATES.
It's not going to hinder your submission if you post it. I took runner up for the Jazz contest and I posted my submission in the gallery and in the Jazz thread. Someone then asked if we were now allowed to do that and Jack Tomlin said it shouldn't be a problem either. I was surprised when I was reading people were afraid to post their submissions because I read it was like any other contests I do where when they say not previously released or posted they're talking about done before the contest was started. So if you posted a render the day before the contest begins, I could see that being inellible. Plus, before the Brooke contest problems with the season pass category continually knocking out any images past 12 or 13, the way to submit it was to post it to the gallery.

Great render too BTW!
Thanks! I knew I needed color, so I tried to punch that up, even if Underbelly's outfit is a crime against fashion :D
(It's a plaid shader in the store, probably PC+? I think it was intended for the sofa, not an outfit...)
...
Yeah, the Brooke contest entry system was messed up.
I guess I'm a bit disappointed that more people aren't sharing to the gallery than anything else. I don't know if it's worry about the contest entry or what.
You've got some neat stuff in there for Jada and the others, and a few of us are putting stuff out there in various states of finish. (A lot of my stuff is very basic to show what can be done in a couple seconds rather than "real" promo stuff.)
I just remember these base character threads used to be more active. Maybe it's the nature of the Season Pass and the new Bundle setup, or adoption of 8.1 in general, but these have felt a lot quieter.

I know what you mean, I've noticed the character threads the past year have really started to drop off in interaction. I remember seeing tons of great renders and such, a lot of times those are what sold me on picking things up instead of the sales page. I wonder why as well. But thanks for noticing the stuff I've posted in there! I finally finished my Jada submission which is below. I think she's a superb character. I don't know how much I'll be doing the 70's thing, but it's fun to have just in case kind of thing. And with all the talk of roller skates, I just had to do this lol.

Good luck in the contest this week!
Good luck to you in the contest as well! You've got a good idea for your image, and a cool camera angle (I like twisting the camera like that for a sense of motion)... but who knows what will win?
I know I included the rollerskates, but I don't know if it's going to matter despite them saying rollerskates in all the contest info.
(Wouldn't surprise me if the winning picture is Half-Naked Jada in a Temple with a Sword :)
...
No new 8.1 figure in my product library, and no orange banner... so maybe we'll get a week off before the last Season Pass character?
The pace of these releases, followed by a week to do the contest entries - it's almost been a grind to get through. Since I like 8.1, I enjoyed seeing the interpretations of the new shader in these figures, but it's been a lot of releases to get through.

She'd probably just lie down on a longboard, but I don't think that would be too much fun.

Jada Undercover. Rollerskates are implied.
How did everyone missed that she looks like she is based on a younger Jada Pinkett Smith. Great character.
