This looks like an impressive addition to 8.1 and loving everyone's renders, so had to get this and try out my own test render too.

Just under 90% converged for this.

A quick render of her (amazing) face

IDK why but she kind of reminds me of Reese Whitherspoon

Thank you, and the necklace I see - I would never have guessed that!

Your Welcome!  I really think the top is this but the middle looks a little different like its stretched or something.  I don't have the top to test it out.

Red Suit and Gloves maybe?  Pretty darn close looks like but no idea about the belt.

Wow. I feel like this is the new PBR shader finally flexing its muscle. Whoever made her should do all of Daz's original characters. Look at that skin detail.... She's fantastic!

Yes! That's it on both counts. And that made me realize what the belts were: https://www.daz3d.com/tactical-belts-for-genesis-3-and-8-females

  • Now, from the contest, it looks like they wanted Jazz to look like a stereotypical 70s cop doing cop things...

For Jada, I don't know how I'm going to put together "rollerskating, undercover civilian, who infiltrates criminal gangs with her bright fashion style in order to help her community".

I'm going to guess it's "rollerskating cop ("undercover civilian") in bright clothes". All that other stuff is probably a smokescreen, like "low on time, high on crime", whatever that was.

Just make her look pretty. Despite their emphasis on storytelling, it doesn't seem to have much importance in the contest.

A 3/4 action shot with a couple of male cops in uniform + roller skates following her lead as they give chase to an off-screen villain through a grungy alley.

    More rendering practice for contest...
Still thinking about how to get rollerskates into a 3/4 body shot.wink (Yeah, might have to be the background cops and people in the community, or something.)

Ooh! Love this! Definitely very colorful! And I love the pose and expression!

I really like how the seam between neck and torso is almost completely invisible with this figure. It's my first 8.1 exclusive texture, but I will definitely be buying more if they're all like this. Also appreciate the base having very little painted-on genital detail, if I want that, I'll use the geograft. A nipple-less torso texture option for future figures would be nice too, but no complaints.

Not a huge fan of the back of her head and her butt being so much darker than the rest of her skin, especially since we can't see that in the promo images, and to this day, I still do not know why so many texture creators think that skin is so freaking reflective. It's pretty tricky to adjust the specularity with the PBR shader without also changing the overall tone of the texture itself, so that is a bit annoying. Will probably also use a different eyelash map, as even the less intense of Jada's options make her look like she's always wearing makeup in my opinion.

Overall though, seems to be a very nice product. I think my earlier question got buried, but if someone owns Soto's new afro, could you possibly post a picture of how large and small it can get using the scale morph? Thanks very much.

    Thanks!
The outfit for this was fun... I've been getting a little more interested in various Iray shaders, and Nelmi's Abstract Silk fabrics were in Fast Grab recently.
I had the Casual Chic outfit from Jenni 8's bundle, and I thought the shape was appropriate for fun/sexy and the shape was relatively okay for the 70s period... except the color options weren't really fitting what I wanted.

So, to bring the outfit up a notch, I dropped the abstract silk shaders on top of it after running the dForce sim on the clothes.
(One area where dForce can do good, I think, is when you want to do these texture swaps. I still prefer conforming clothes, but dForce also has its uses.)

I forget whose pose pack the rough pose came from... probably one of the CDI pose sets for Aiko or Girl 8 because they come with a little more exaggerated attitude. I like those stylized figure poses for the extra attitude.

Expressions... part of it is EmmaAndJordi's pack for Kala 8 (one of my favorite G8F expression packs). It's one of my favorite packages for a little extra sexy attitude in the face, and I use it all the time.

Jada just became my first 8.1 bundle purchase (though not my first 8.1 base character). I had a little bit of a scare when I added the G8F Centaur anatomy to Jada and found that the geoshell wasn't working properly, but I discovered that you could rectify this by renaming the body surface back to "torso" before adding the anatomy. You are all welcome.

After realizing that the solution I found wasn't working quite as well as I thought, I discovered that there's a much simpler solution: change the UV on the centaur geoshell to "Centaur". I've been working on a scene with a Jada centaur for quite a while that I hope to be able to post soon.

    Four on the Floor

This was a dangerous scene for me to take on, because I am absolutely terrible at lighting.

The lighting works here. It gives the impression of a party/dance scene with the colored gel lights.

Looks like a fun scene... aside from the lack of horse rollerskates since it's still Jada we are talking about.laugh

I've done a rollerskating centaur before:

    Pony Steps

If I did another such render, I'd want to make the skates myself so that they're hoof-shaped.
