I would be pleasantly surprised if Daz ever manages any of those feats.

Daz doesn't write the render engines anyway.

Not now, they don't. I may have a faulty memory, but in the days of Beta 0.7.x I'm sure they did. Coming from Poser 4 as I did, the rendering offered by DS 0.7.x seemed incredibly impressive.

It would be up to Daz Devs to implement ProRender. It would not be fun, though, if the software needed another whole lighting and material system to make it work. It might be okay if there were an integrated, automated converter. Otherwise, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, that would be a lot of extra bother.

I have to confess I am surprised that the interface for filament doesn't try to ensure similar lighting levels as are expected in iRay. Always seems a great deal brighter, and I do feel that could be made user invisible.

I picked up some tips on this during the Daz live tutorial event today. If you create a filament draw options node, you can change some parameters that will reduce the blown-out effect and hopefully make it look more accurate. First, reduce the environment intensity scale from 15k to 6-8k. Then reduce the scene light scale to 1.5- 1.2.

Another suggestion was to turn off generate texture minimaps which is supposed to help accuracy I believe.

    ...but they do use others.

I spent it yesterday, but if I buy credit now and have at least $10.00 still on that date, will it be pulled by Daz as not used? (This was pointed out on Novica's thread as a concern.)

    Morning All,

Whats the situation with the Daz $10 credit, I can read that some of us has recieved it and many others are still waiting for it to appear via banner, email or messages (fingers cross)....... I'm really confused by this broken contract/promise.

Hopefully someone from Daz with give us an-update on this matter.

I was actually wondering thinking about this too. I've had store credit before either refunds, winning a render contest once, completing surveys, and general daz gifting bonuses but I've never noticed a use by date before so after this has me wondering does all store credit including gift cards have a use by a certain date or lose it

In the past the code was written to use expiring stuff in order, soonest expiry first, but I've no idea if that iss till true. If it did expire and the had taken unexpiring credit in payment while the expiring was there then I would certainly fire off a ticket.

so from what your saying any store credit has a use by date and this isn't something new different?

$10 store credit should be in everyone's account who filled it out by the date/time in the email.  Sadly some people left their non-daz email on the form, which we have no way to connect to their customer account.  So tomorrow we'll be reaching out to them to get their correct Daz email for credit.  If you didn't get the store credit and did complete the survey on time that is likely because of your email address, please reach out to customer service.

On expiration of this credit by June 21, we just look to make sure that at least $10 of store credit has been used by the date (from today forward).

I am absolutely sure to have entered my DAZ3D Email and I still haven't received the store credit. So should I wait or reach out  for Customer service?

I could be wrong, but I thought store credit was good for a year. I know I've used store credit over a few months.

Thanks, I will wait some hours and then do the same...

While I never bought the full amount on a gift card ($2000), the recent ones I have bought have been limited to $500. But I think there was a time that the credit would go away (#? years). Mine had trouble lasting a month, so I never worried about it before.

Thank you to Richard and DAZJessica for their answers.

Up to now gift certificates had an expiration date but not store credit once redeemed. Or at least if there was one it was set to something like 100 years from now.

Ah, okay. That clears that up. Thanks Leana.

I'm another who has heard nothing. Although I had a couple of blips completing the survey, I'm pretty sure I completed my email address correctly at the end and saw some sort of completion message.

I'll wait till tomorrow to see if I get "reached out" to and raise a ticket if not.

I used my Daz email, checked deleted items and junk mail, but no survey.  I will wait until tomorrow before filing a ticket.

    Thanks DAZ__Jessica for the reply,

I did use my Daz email address  - but  I will check my account on the 7th June or contact customer service on this matter.

I used my Daz email address and had no issued completing the survey, but haven't had any credit in my account. I'll see if I get an email tomorrow

I finished the survey & got the confirmation page. I used my Daz account email on the form. I already put in a ticket. I still don't have store credit, an email, or a banner, even though it is 15+ hours into June 6, Daz time.

(Maybe Daz shouldn't promise store credit on a weekend date - when there are few staffers - when it has enough problems fulfilling on weekdays?)
