There was a thread here talking about folks desire for more "asian/eastern high-fantasy" wear. I think this Maho outfit is a step in that direction for sure. I really like it.
Okay, simple-ish test render with Kiko.
Blended Kiko 8.1 (65%) with Kanade 8 (35%), then tweaked the nose a very little bit. I stayed in the "Stylized" bracket here, not "Realism".
I tweaked all the SSS maps for more contrast. (Actually, took the Diffuse maps, increased brightness & also cranked up contrast to recreate SSS maps.) I don't know if they helped reduce the "plastic" of the skin, but it was worth a look.
I took out all the foxy hair bits. They are well done but heavy, and my machine kind of gags on them all. It's probably the SBH settings, but I didn't have time to sift through and mess with them. (Again, it takes knowledge of Daz to mess with all of that... let alone diagnose what's causing things to drag or hang.)
Again, I think she's really nice, but she probably needs a little Daz knowledge to know what is working and what does not work for your particular setup.
If you add a curve or some other method to make it lighter, it is probably almost exactly like the befunky version.
Thanks, but it looks a bit too filtery for me when I look at the samples zoomed in large on their site and it’s overpriced. Although your image looks a lot better than the ones on the filter sales page! In general, I like having the capability to have images fairly large for wall prints and don’t like that filtery look so mostly do things by hand. But for small images, it looks pretty decent.
For some reason I’m having a big problem making her look good. I don’t understand the PBR shader, I’ve been fiddling with it for like two hours and still not happy. Thank god for post.
Can anyone get the fur on the ears or tail to look like the promo? Mine isn’t even close. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. And she takes expressions horribly and no matter what I do, her skin looks awful. Fred looked amazing compared to her. I’m wasting too much time trying to make her look decent, can’t get the fur to work. I might return the whole bundle... I think I’ll stick to G8.
ETA, so here you can see that the fur on the tail renders but the tail underneath is invisible no matter what I do while the fur on the ears doesn't look like fur. Anyone able to get it to work???

The Ear Fur makes my system crashy. I guess I have too much of a potato to handle the density of hairs.
I'm not going to bother with her tail because I have other fox tails that work. (I don't know what would make the inner Tail prop invisible. Bizarre.)
Kiko's skin? I re-did all the SSS maps to fit what I like. I didn't think the default Kiko SSS maps would work for me.
That's the only tweak that I did to the PBR setup for Kiko, and I didn't get a grey-skin girl... but I kind of like the PBR and I've been messing around with it.

I couldn’t even render this image. It crashes my whole computer every time. I have a 1080ti. I see others are rendering without the fur but if I turn it off, there’s no tail underneath for me. It’s there, I can see it in the viewport on texture shading, I see everything in surfaces but it doesn’t show up in iRay preview although the fur does. And something is causing it to crash every time I hit render...
As far as expressions, I’m using the 8.1 expressions, but like G3 and Thorne characters, the mouth doesn’t take expressions well. The way things are going I may return the whole bundle.
With the ear and tail hair turned on, Daz Studio becomes very crashy for me. Almost after every dForce sim, I'd get a crash as soon as I tried to render.
Otherwise enjoying this character a lot. I think she pairs well with Aiko 8 in scenes.

thankfully there is some easy calculation you can do to improve your life
PR Hair density * line width = visible density
so if you make there be half as many strands but each strand is twice as thick it looks a silikar density but with half the strands so half the mesh needed
PR Interpolation Segment Length is the other setting you can tweak
compare ears that use 1.252 gb
vs ears that now use 377mb
For the 377mb version I halved the Density, doubled the line with and doubled the interpolation width
also a simple material preset that applies just those settings youll need haver already picked the fur color you want and have the ear fur selected

Looks like a classic Lady Littlefox to me :) I've not seen it before, maybe it will be out with another Kiko bundle - and that's NOT to say there will be another bundle, I'm kinda out of the loop with so much stuff going on! %}

Yeah, the adjustment of line width and hair density is a great way to adjust. The further away the subject is, the lower quality you can get away with (to a point, and not all fur setups are as forgiving)

Yeah, I am not fond of the skin as it is, which is why I am recreating the SSS maps for my own purposes. The SSS maps feel like they are simply lighter/more white versions of the Diffuse, and that just tilts things towards 255,255,255.

She's cute and I really like the bundle. The Maho Outfit (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-maho-outfit-for-genesis-81-female) sleeves are removable, which is pretty great and the extra textures have this beautiful pattern which I love.

She mixes quite well with other shapes if you turn down just a bit.
The Keiko Monique mix from the promos reminds me of Billie Eilish. Just need to widen the tip of her nose a bit.

Okay, I'll have to try that with the Ear hair... I figured it was hair density, but I don't play with the hair enough to know how to do all that.
Now back to the rendering...

Very pretty! I decided to just pick a few items out of her bundle. Can't wait to render her up a bit.
There is a "No Brow" option for normal and HD versions. Apply it and then the makeup.
The price is a good deal for all that is included in comparison to other "8" characters when they debut.
