Complaint: My wishlist is all messed up! I sorted by Price - low to high. The top of the list has items that are $9.95, then $7.95, then $10.95, then $26.95...it goes back and forth with high prices...then, finally, it starts with the PC+ items starting at $1.99. What's going on, I wonder? Have a bunch of things been removed from the store? If so, why are they still in my wishlist. Shouldn't they notify us if they're dropping something that's in the wishlist? And then remove it? Or does that make too much sense?

Loving a thirteen year old cat can break your heart, especially when one gets an aural haematoma and after a $700.00 surgery to make it healthier, your cat is diagnosed with feline aides, bad liver and failing kidneys. In a desperate attempt you force feed it because it has not eaten in two days and now weighs one pound less than it did when it was skin and bones at 7.5 pounds, but you get bitten. I know this didn't happen to you, but it did happen just now to my semi-feral cat and me.

Wisconsin won the Maui Invitational
Oh and the Bucks won their 6th straight defeating Denver in the "Mile HIgh" thin air 120 - 109. to move within 1 game of division leading Chicago. Good to get most of their powerhouse shooters back who have been on the injured iist since the start of the season
In the Big Ten tomorrow, it's all on the line (including the right to hold on to Paul Bunyan's Axe) as the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the oldest ongoing rivalry in all of college football (even older than the Army-Navy game and "Civil War" between Oregon and Oregon State [which also happens tomorrow]). Wisconsin wins and they take the Big 10 West title. The win will actually put both Iowa (who won over Nebraska today after trailing most of the game by 15 points) and the Badgers in a tie. However Wisconsin owns the head to head tiebreaker as they defeated Iowa earlier this season, so they'll be the ones to punch their ticket to the conference championship against either Michigan or Ohio State in Indianapolis. That's going to be a tough draw as both MU and OSU have been so dominant this year.

That happened to me a while back. I kvetched about it a couple times then ignored it for a year or so. Turns out that the items erroneously at the top of the list are no longer available in the catalog. So I removed them from my wishlist. Wheee..., no more wierdly sorted list.
Complaint: Real snow! I swept about 4 inches off the porch yesterday, and again this morning.
Non-complaint: For breakfast this morning I had three apricot halves. Mmmm... apricots.
Complaint: I have a 12 year old computer in my bedroom for handling emergencies like needing to get an Amazon or DAZ fix at 2:30 in the morning. Not a great machine and I don't use it often but it functions if you're patient. Unfortunately, this morning I fired it up to initiate the process of doing a WIn10 update but it went into a boot loop, never posting.
Non-Complaint: Wheee..., I have another computer to fix. Yay!
And even if it's an unfixable motherboard problem, most of the other parts in there are newish or replaceable. And if the motherboard is dead then I'd have the opportunity to buy newer motherboard and let it take over the old case, like a hermit crab finding a new shell. I have some excess DDR4 ram (slower speeds, smaller capacity) on my shelf, as well as a spare SSD and a couple of old hard drives and can make yet another Frankenstein monster with the spare organs.
Hmmm... "Noncoimplaint"... I'm not sure quite what that word is trying to say. "Noncoim" --- Non-commisioned? "Coimplaint" --- compliant, implant? You need to get your spell checker adjusted. Either that or take that word out of your dictionary.

Refresh... huh... so throwing my iPad across the room does nothing to fix the problem?... kicking my old 70s Zenith console TV a couple of times usually fixed or at least changed something... I'd definitely have thrown that across the room if it didn't weigh 3 1/2 tons...
But seriously, thanks for whatever you guys do to keep this leaky ship floating... it is appreciated... it's never the people charged with maintaining the works I curse, only this software spawn of satan that so vexes us.

Oh yeah, I've wanted to throw my laptop and iPad before. Well, I did throw the laptop once. It was sitting on my lap and I pushed it off and across the room. "Opps, didn't mean to do that" I said to myself. Didn't realize how hard I pushed with my temper. I got close to 20, 502's and 504's errors on numerous occasions in the forums in a days time. We get called some doozies at times but it's all worth it for the joy you get from helping others.
Non-complaint: My sick bedroom computer "Great-Uncle" has recovered.
After all the work I went to to get on my knees, pray to the gods that I could get up again, disconnect the various cables and carry the dusty ancient heavy machine down the stairs to my lab. Once on my lab bench I disconnected everything (drives, cards, and one of two RAM sticks). I also removed the BIOS battery and booted the system without the BIOS battery. System came up very nicely into the BIOS complaining about a missing battery.
I tested the battery and it's full of 'lectrons, rarin' to go. So I put the battery back in, booted and reset the clock, then shutdown, reconnected everything except the cards (WiFi, and 2-port USB3) and it booted into Win10 properly. Yay!
I also tested both 4GB DDR1 RAM sticks (speed 533MHz). But it is (as always) ungodly slow. And the CPU fan needs a muffler.
I've initiated Win10 update. When finished, I think I'll try an old 80mm CPU fan from my storage boxes. The whine and growl from the fan sitting next to me in my work area is driving me crazy.
Complaint: I'm actually disappointed that I was able to fix the computer so easily. So, I've been looking at newer cheap microATX motherboards. I still have that spare AMD Ryzen5-1400 CPU chip that came out of Baby-Bear when I replaced it with the Ryzen5-5600G
. So, with a cheap modern motherboard ($50), my existing semi-modern CPU, existing spare 16GB of DDR4 2666 RAM, and the original stock AMD CPU cooler along with the existing 500GB SSD, and 500GB HD and old Hewlett-Packard case it should work. However, I'm also sure it needs a bigger power supply(PS). The existing PS is 300w but it's 12 years old! I'm considering tearing my new EVGA non-modular 500w PS out of Baby-Bear and transplant it into this old HP case. And of course, that means I have the opportunity to buy a better PS (modular, 650w $85) for Baby-Bear. The Ryzen5-1400 CPU doesn't have graphics, but I do still have that GT-1030 graphics card as well as a GT-730 graphics card that could be used. The only original parts left in Great-Uncle would be the case, the DVD and the PS.
Non-Complaint: If it all works out, then for a total of less than $150* invested into Great-Uncle I can create a very nice household machine that runs without pushing my frustrate buttons.
Also, the new 650w PS in Baby-Bear would mean that he's now easily capable of handling an RTX-3060 graphics card when it becomes possible. Wheee...
*Note: I also have an unactivated Win10 license key. Might as well use it up before Win10 is ancient history.
There are a lot of them. I didn't count, but I'd say at least a couple dozen! Maybe they've moved to that other store?

...well Michigan came through and defeated Ohio State 42 - 27, Never once lost the lead all game. So one half of the Big 10 Championship is set. In a couple minutes Wisconsin and Minnesota kick off.
Oregon is currrently ahead of Oregon state 14 - 3 in the first quarter after being pummelled by Utah last week. If the Beavers (OSU) get something going and win it would make it interesting as three teams would be tied for the division: Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington State all with 6 -3 records. However Oregon has the tiebreaker with WSU and with Oregon state winning today they'd have the tiebreaker with Oregon and thus get the nod to go to the Pac 12 Championship (and you thought Daz math was weird).
Be that as it may whoever wins will face Utah who already punched their ticket to the Conference Championship.

So I basically ignore all of those orange "we've got a great deal for you" banners that occasionally appear at the top of the DAZ webpages, on the grounds that they are generally stupid. And I just clicked on one to see that it had a coupon for 30% off the entire order, after I already spent about $40 on stuff. It doesn't matter though. None of the stuff I intend to buy ever qualifies for a special discount.
I have a similar situation and can commiserate. Except in my case, it's food not money. Invariably when I get a chance to get out to a real restaurant I find something on the menu that I've had a hankering for, but it, (for any number of reasons) is unavailable that night.
Thanks everyone. It is heart breaking. Part of me thinks I should have had the vet euthanize him, but now he's starting to eat and drink and he's really fighting to live and I just can't do that right now. I had to make that decision with my 15 year old pit bull when his kidneys failure got bad, and it haunted me for months, but it was best for him. Right now I have Patches in the downstairs bathroom. I trapped him and others back in 2009 had them spayed and neutered. Most have lived in the back yard ever since. Two years ago I took a black cat, Midnight inside the garage because he was hiding in bushes down the road and had a terrible wound, only sneaking back for meals. Then last year noticed Patches was skin and bones so partioned off garage and made a home for him inside. Only recently have we been able to pet him and he cautiously eats in front of us now.
Although I have 6 dogs, a ton of finches, some semi-ferals outside and an inside siamese, I learned a ton. Who knew gabapentin liquid form was prescribed for cats (and dogs)? Apparently it is easier on liver and kidneys. Our larger 9 lb yorkie dislocated her leg this week and she got switched from gabapenten to medcam after blood test came back good. Apparently Medcam fights inflamation better but is harder on the organs. Patches is recovering, or trying to, in our main floor bathroom with a yi cam on him. His surgery was the 23rd (32 stitches in the ear) we got him back on the 24th. On the 25th, I noticed fleas. After picking off several for two days, knowing the fleas were feasting on him, I went back to the vet to pay for a flea treatment if possible and he was not eating or drinking. We have flea meds but were scared to use it on him. The cat had lost one pound since surgery. The vet gave him a product called Bravecto (liquid on back neck area), injected water pads under his skin, and gave him a food stimulant. Also he suggested .3 ml of milk thistle (for a 7 pound cat -oral liquid) this is good to offset med toxins. He said it would be beneficial to his liver and kidneys. I have often hand fed baby birds or sick finches and a 3.5 pound yorkie (after a surgery) but never a cat. I didn't know you could force feed baby gerber chicken food to a cat, but you can according to my vet. I boil chicken for dogs so decided to steam some salmon and put it and chicken and a bit of water in a blender and force feed that (by syringe) instead. The cat put up with me trying to pry it's mouth open for three minutes or more before biting my thumb, so I deserved it. I'm trying to deal with the thumb at home because covid is so bad here. Even people with boosters are getting sick. But the vet is a wait in car, call when arrive, come in when we call back procedure, while an emergency room is full of covid. My heart goes out to people with real medical issues that require hospital visits. Hopefully 2022 will be better for all of us. Just a note about the Bravecto (we use different products that cannot be used to retreat until 30 days later) it worked fast. Didn't kill the cat like we feared it would in his state, and the vet insisted on retreating him with it in 14 days. I googled it but here, online it's prescription only. We dumped his food on the floor because it's easier on him. In the close up you can see his third eye which are really noticeable now. Never new cats had them.
