So am I. broken heartcrying Sad that our pets don't live all that long, but they have to die old.

    That is my complaint.

Obsessed bodybuilders seem to think that dying young and leaving a beautiful body is OK.   A combination of anabolic steroid, growth hormone, testosterone, and other forced growth enhancement drugs, do a number on the body, not the least of which is stress on the heart to feed all that muscle.  But kidney and liver problems are frequent too.  There's a whole long list of bodybuilders who disappeared from the circuit and passed away at an early age.  And, yes, 49 is still young.  I was at my peak at 49 (5'10", 220#, 18" arms, 36" waist).  I was on the road to hugedom but had a lover and a friend die as a result of steroid abuse.  It kinda woke me up.surprise

But for most people, dying old is preferable to dying young.  Personally, now that I'm "old", I don't worry about it much anymore.indecision

Although, I can understand why some people pushed to the brink by suffering, might prefer to not continue.sad

So, discarding the ends of the spectrum, living to a comfortable, productive old age seems to be the obvious choice.enlightened

It's a catch 22 with the use of testosterone. It can cause heart problems in both ways. If your levels are low like mine it can cause heart problems for it being to low. If you are using testosterone to substitute, it can cause heart problems. The risks are higher if you let your levels stay low. Before I started giving myself the shots my Dr said a person of my age should have a level between 400-600. Mine was 156 due to surgery I had to have. Before the surgery, my levels were a bit higher at 231. The Dr warned me of the risk taking the testosterone and the risks of not taking it. I was severally ran down and couldn't get myself to do anything and very emotional because with it being so low it put my estrogen levels through the roof. For the longest time I was on testosterone and estrogen blockers. Seems to be in check now though.

I don't know my testosterone levels, but I think they might be a low but low enough?

I am debating between read yellow wallpaper or cask of amontillado.  I need to read both for a class.

I'd go with The Case of Armadillos... Armadillos never disappoint.

There is definitely a market for Chicken flavored Wine™.

I was making a basting sauce for a roast chicken I was cooking... at that point it was basically just red wine and chicken bouillon... I've made it lots of times before, but for the first time I actually licked the spoon after I stirred it... it's surprisingly delicious.

I'm not a wine person (it's beer for me), but I could definitely go for a glass of this stuff.

How does "Meat Farm Vineyards™" sound?

...I have a bottle of amontillado in the cabinet.  Very tasty.

I tend to stay away from yellow papers, particularly yellow newspapers as they are rife with sensationalistic journalism.

Today is the most important Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Unfortunately last time i still had money, I decided  against DAZ squirrel in favor of some plants of martinjfrost. But maybe sb else here can contribute a render to honor those adorable creatures?

At work, people used to ask me, if I knew any contacts for getting something done, for example buying products or services that they had not needed before, but gradually all my contacts were retired...frown

What the hell... Louie Anderson too?...

Yet all the old-as-sin headline holding problem makers of the world are doing just fine... I wanna hear one of them kicked the damn bucket for once, instead of Betty White, Sidney Poitier, Bob Saget or some other halfway decent person... It's like being a bastard helps you live longer.

It is still coming tonight; but this time it will be more on the coast where I am instead of inland where you are. We are expecting 1 to 3 inches of snow overnight. If we get that much snow we may be snowed in.
