    nothing from the feds yet.
if they decide to audit me, there's nothing to audit. no receipts, nothing. rent is cash. phone bill records. daz noreply emails.

i made the mistake of asking the internet what could cause chronic swollen feet. >.<
could be something as simple as an electrolyte imbalance, gonna stock up on coconut water, try and drink some everyday. it's not tasty.
haz a nice file bucket under my desk to elevate my feet. not above my heart but better than nothing?

been at work over 2 hours already, time for a cuppa !

I'm also at work and moderately unhappy about being there.

When I went to exit my house this morning, the icy cold wind whipped right into my face as soon as I opened the door. There was an icy patch on my driveway that had me doing an impromptu impression of an Olympic figure skater as I tried to remain upright as well as retain my hold on my purse, travel mug full of hot coffee, laptop and car keys. My morning commute was impeded by no fewer than three traffic snarl ups due to people being unfortunate enough to either slide completely off the road or collide with other people while trying to stop at traffic signals and various intersections. Needless to say, I was late for work. Now I am sitting at my desk working on my third cup of coffee and listening to the wind howl around the corner of the building. I don't get paid enough for this.

    Happy Monday everyone!

32 and drizzle at my house here in Austin. I don't have to go outside. Just going downhill until tomorrow evening.44

Tjohn, love your generic forecast. I might send it to my meteorologist friend and ask him if that's what he uses.

Misty, must be nice to have the manager to pick you up. Makes you an Essential Employee.

Daikatana, welcome to the Complaint Thread. Your freestyle skating is exactly why I won't go out today. My wooden ramp always gets slick right in the middle.

I'm at work. Really didn't want to come in, really getting sick of this place, as soon as we ship this damnable thing I'm sooooo outta here. Got my resume updated, updated my Monster and Dice profiles, started a moving savings account.. and bought a new, larger backpack for traveling! :cheese:

Took the pack for its first run Saturday - it hold about 8 more grocery items than the old one did, and it's so much easier to deal with as it has a rigid plastic frame. The rolling part works great too, I gave it a test when filled with canned goods and the handle popped right out and merrily we rolled along. Cost me $40 but well worth it. Between it and my rolling duffel bag I'm ready to travel! :cheese:

    Now, to non-work-related complaints:

    - Snowing, right this instant. Will make getting home painful. :shut:
    - High today 29F. High Thursday and Friday 31F.
    - Snow Friday, when I need to get to the bank, dang it :shut:
    - Indigestion
    - Headache
    - Did I mention I hate this job? :shut:

One non-complaint: tomorrow it should hit 45F and then 50F on Wednesday, so that won't be too horrible before we go back into the icebox. :blank:

I can tell you, moving up here was definitely a stupid move on my part! It's a toasty 20F and I'm watching the snow come down.. ugh ugh ugh.. and it's 52F in lovely Sunnyvale, California! :bug:

Gotta win the Lotto and move..

What do I think? You might not like what I think. I think you should see a doctor about your feet rather than spend money on a tattoo. Your feet are important, your base. You need to take care of yourself. It may be a simple thing, but it may be something far more serious.

I think we'd all rather see you healthy than see a new tattoo on your arm. But maybe I'm wrong.

oohhh this is why i don't make the big bucks.

sent a compiled access database i custom programmed to a remote location.
i offered to populate their data and sent an excel spreadsheet as a template,
person on the other end is using the shift key to bypass the database programming, programming which validates the data.
says she'll populate the tables and from there, she should be able to save the database an as mdb file.

is it worse to not say anything and let her find out for herself?

    don't know what to do.
looking back on my email to her, i did offer to send the source code.
i don't want to sound like a jerk, yknow?

First mistake...using Access. Next mistake would be not telling her of any issues she faces if doing things her way. Third mistake would be to send the source code...unless you were contracted to do so.

Since she already said she wanted to bypass data validation, I'd say, tell her what she faces and leave her to her own devices. She'll learn eventually what a mess she will have made. And she won't be able to blame you.

    @Annie - lol! I paid $550 a month when I was there. Very affordable!

21F here, woke up at 4:30AM and can't get back to slee. :shut: Guts churning like the oars on a Viking warship.. ugh, blech.Soon, it'll be late enough to make coffee, though!

New bus ass day and the bus office doesn't open until 7AM, so i'm stopping for a REAL breakfast... maybe a nice bacon skillet, or splurge on Eggs Benedict! :cheese: Then, into work.. ugh.. another long, painful day.

Today's forecast moved the snow to Saturday.. if I wait long enough, will it move to next year, I wonder? :blank: Saturday would be better, Friday is payday and banking in the snow doesn't sound fun.

    Must... make... cuppa... :ahhh:
