For those that had doubts about scalper bots, I stumbled on this online availability at about 3:00 PM. There were over a half dozen different RTX 3000 cards from different manufacterers available. By 4:00 all were sold. Best Buy did not roll out the cards they had all at once online but staggered them over the time period. So there is no doubt that despite the efforts of these retailers to stop the scalper bots, they are failing. You best bet to get a non-scalped price for a card is via showing up early at one of their In-Store Only Sales and get in line for a ticket at store opening if you have that luxury.

If you want to do that, P.M. me and I will build a list of DAZ forum users names in a DAZ forum P.M. message thread and I will notify you and all in that P.M. group of the next Best Buy In-Store Only Sale (but not of the non-sale days like I do in this thread). Of course I might mess up and miss an announced In-Store Only sale but I'll try not too (between now & 31 Dec 2021 only).

How do you know it's bots, not legitimate humans, in the queue ahead of you?

e-retailers have been pretty open that at this point the only way to get one from their site is to get a bot and even then you probably won't get one because stock is limited are thousands of bots that will descend upon their site as soon as there is an inkling that a card is going to become available. The only way outside of a bot is to get lucky and stumble upon one that popped back into stock because a transaction failed. Since they don't announce those it usually takes a few minutes for a crawler bot to notice its in stock and call in the bot army.

Yes. Inside jokes are the best kind. They definately aren't competing against DAZ 3D by selling electronic 3D models though. Heck, they barely sell computer components that aren't out dated by 5 years to end customers anymore. I guess a they sell a lots of a TVs and a laptops.

RTX 3080 didn't search September so no data is $1430 - $1500 October (I think that is a downward trend by $100 - $200 though).

RTX 3070 is cheaper on average by about $100 ($1050 - $1100 Sep down to $950 - $1000 Oct)

RTX 3060 TI is cheaper on average by about $20 - $40 ($825 - $875 Sep down to $780 - $800 Oct)

RTX 3060 is cheaper on average by about $50 - $75 ($725 - $775 Sep down to $650 - $700 Oct)

::::: Other items of note: Except for the PNY GeForce RTX 3060 12GB that has been available for over the past week online at BestBuy.com for $619.99 there have been no online availability of RTX GPUs at Best Buy that's I've seen in my nightly checks except for Open Box items and they are always 3rd party manufacturer GPUs that cost more to begin with, which means most likely it's bots buying those items as soon as they hit and then the payment transaction for them fails after an extended hold, resulting in a return.

Yeah, it's pretty clear most people that wanted these cards bought them already so I feel I am sort of wasting time posting these listings. Regardless, it's instructive for me to spend that 10 minutes a day so I can see how things are done at Best Buy and EVGA in preparation for the RTX 4000 series release, which is what I really want.

Awesome that you got one at a fair price! I am on EVGA's mailing list and they claimed that they'd email all of us that didn't get email last round but I got no notice. I did get a email from EVGA about other products they sell though. I'm very glad you did though. Perhaps it was because I could only sign up for 3 products & I think I choose 3070, 3070 TI, & 3080 I think but don't remember? It's getting so close to the RTX 4000s nowadays I'm definately going to go cheap as in $525 or less on an RTX 3000s series, not that I consider $525 for a video card really cheap but that's what the cheapest RTX 3070 8GB costs if and when available again.
