My system can by overclocked but I stay with the stock clocks.

EVGA sent out emails today for card purchases. Granted the one I received was for the RTX3060 12GB. But better than nothing.

Since I was limited to 2 choices for that I email list I elected not to get an email for the RTX 3060/RTX 3060 TI GPUs; super that you now can get one though. In hindsight, maybe I should of chose a RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 TI instead of the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080. With the long list of EVGA RTX 3000 series variants how do you even guess the right one they'll have in stock before the RTX 4000 series comes along?

i thought the same thing too. But after waiting over a year plus for an RTX card I figured with Studio the extra 4GB ram is worth more than the slight boost in speed and cost difference of the 3070Ti. BTW you will still get notice of the 3070Ti when they are available. I did before but it was bad timing. Figured once bitten best not to chance it again and let it go by.

I'm sticking with me "buy at Best Buy" plan at least until I hear something more definitive about whether the RTX 4000 series will be forthcoming in the 2022 model year. 2022 Aug 31 will make 2 years since the release of the 1st of the RTX 3000 series. A big influence on that decision is that I'm broke between making home repairs, auto repairs, and DAZ 3D purchases but must of that will be closing out in the next 6 months.

I wouldn't count on RTX 4000 series cards being widely available upon launch unless there's a major change in how they're sold and their production rate is "magically" increased and/or crypto currency mining ceases to be profitable.

Thanks, I have a system already as good, with a Ryzen 7 5700G APU, all I need is a RTX 3000 or RTX 4000 GPU. That price is pretty decent for folks looking to replace an older computer though!

Got the RTX360 12G today installed in the system only to have Daz studio fail to start with an OpenGL 1.3 compatibiility errot. The work around is to place a copy of opengl32.dll in the daz studio root directory. Card works great so far big improvement over my overclocked GTX660Ti.

The card should easily meet the OpenGL requirements, that may be a driver issue but it's probably worth a report to Daz even so.

What version of Windows are you running? It sounds like you have manually installed software based openGL libraries or such in the past. If you did, uninstall all that.

Your best bet is to go into "Safe Mode" using the Windows generic VGA drivers and then uninstall all past video drivers installs for any nVidia GPUs you've had in the past. Then go to the nVidia website & install the latest "Studio" drivers for RTX GPUs.

For what it's worth, I've been checking Microcenter's page each morning. Twice this month they've had 3080 and 3090s in stock (in store only, no online purchases).  I realize that most people don't have a Microcenter in their city, but at least it's encouraging to know that there are brand new 80 and 90 cards for sale out there somewhere.

That is good to know. Between Microcenter and Best Buy, probably 95% of the US population have a big box computer electronics store within 100 miles of their residence. There is a Microcenter, just north of Cincinatti, Ohio, about 180 miles from my house. Best Buy, there are 6 within 150 miles of my house. When the RTX 4000 series come out I will definately check both the Microcenter & Best Buy In-Store Only Release Event procedures for the RTX 4000 Series In-Store Only Release Event that these new nVidia GPUs always seem to get.
