Maybe it's the promo. Or that particular hair.

*EDIT* Speaking of toon versions of people Coral for Callie looks disturbingly like a toon Natalie Dormer. Would anyone be kind enough to post a render of her morph without Callie?

The one on the left is the Coral mermaid loaded on the G2Female base, the other is the CoralMermaid which I assume is loaded from Callie. She is taller. I am doing some renders of Cory and characters in my art studio thread and will be playing around with Callie/Coral. There is a stronger light coming from our left so that's why the gal on that side looks a bit lighter.

EDIT: In the second ones with the faces only, Cory is on the left, the G2F base is the one on the left.

This may have been answered before, but I couldn't find it. I have Callie 6 base. How long is the extra 30% Cory 6 good for? I don't get paid until the 30th, so I was hoping to wait until then, but if the extra % off is only for today that won't work for me.
I need to know the answer to this also, unfortunately...

I can see using the base Cory figure as the tyrant in horror type renders. The brows, eyes, and facial expressions are perfect for it.

    That looks frickin' amazing...
It's a shame the little beard scruff is so low on a regular G2M. To fit the Cory head morph, I really had to stretch that out. I may go back and do a regular sized one available for people if they request it.
Thanks for doing this render...it's always a thrill to see people use my strange little characters. :)

I was 'eh' on Cory, until I saw Rick. I haven't bought Cory yet (a bit skint at the end of the month) but I wouldn't dream of buying him without Rick. Thanks for making what looks like a great character!

Please do. I don't have a use for Cory but would buy this if it truly fit the G2M.

OK---show me proof of purchase--screen shot of your content library or whatever, send me a site mail and I'll send a link to download the alternate textures and mat files. I didn't do Poser CF files---if anyone wants those they may have to do it themselves. I'm dragging today---was sick the last few days. But... I did want to make sure I got these done for people that want them...

I need Lindsey to contact me. It says your screen name is invalid and won't let me send you the email? :/

So send me an email to gypsyangell at comcast.net

And I'll send you a link back.

@scorpio64dragon I love the image and it should make naysayers think again about Cory. I'm warming to him myself actually.

    -------------------

This is not a Cory issue, but I discovered it as I was dressing him. This is the Cutting Loose outfit and it works fine until I apply the materials on the shirt. Lots of warnings in the logfile but the gist is that the buttons are made via displacement and something is wrong and an error causes the displacement shader not to compile when I render. THAT causes the junk on Cory's skin--has nothing to with Cory.

I'm using the Beta. If anyone else has cutting loose (I don't remember when it came out but I think it was Joe Quick) can they try it?

That reptilian effect was discussed in another part of the forum. I got it when comparing Girl, Fiends Forever and Callie, too.

I'm so dissapointed about Cory. He looks more like a chimp as a male and he is really the worst Character that DAZ has ever released. Of course, it#s my own opinion. I don't know, if I can give him back and get my money back (or as store credit). I have bought him as bundle.

You would have to give back the whole bundle and just re purchase any of the items you wanted to keep. You could actually possibly find that might cost you more money than the original bundle did, depending on how you bought it and how much of the bundle you want to keep.

It may be related but I'm not so sure. Here's the thing....

Loaded and rendered Cory on his own--rendered no problem.

Loaded cutting loose cargo shorts that came in with no textures--rendered no problem

Applied texture preset to cargo shorts--rendered okay but numerous warnings in logfile about brickyard and shader_displacement. Including this:
    -------
    Compiled C:/Users/Cricket/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4 Public Build/temp/shaders/brickyard/{407f8e5c-3a9b-4708-b5e5-799ff1fe7c1d}/shader_Displacement.sdl...
    stdin: in function shader_Displacement

stdin:439: WARNING: 'calculatenormal' function may have unexpected results since 'Pbp' in parameter number 1 is defined in a varying condition

stdin:451: ERROR: type mismatch for assignment: 'elr_out_b58_t0'

Compilation of 'stdin' aborted due to errors: 1 errors, 1 warnings.
    ------

The render seemed fine. Then applied texture preset to shirt and got more warnings but error did not show again--I think 3delight thoiught it was already handled previously and did not compile the shader on the shorts again???

rendered this with shirt texture applied and everything went south.

So I think it's a shader compile brickyard thingy problem in the beta. That's why I'd like to see someone else try.

I've just realised why the eyes are having such a strange psychological effect... It's the 'Steve Buscemi eyes' phenomenon in cartoon form. That's why he somehow looks both mature and young at the same time.

They protrude (bug eyed if you want to be mean) Like Steve Buscemi, yes, but also the far less jarring looking Maisie Williams (Arya on GOT) also me. its one of theose features that from certain angles can make a face look completely "off"

The chest issues with G2M make me selective on what figures I buy. I don't think he'd have value for me, the face look is too limited and I don't want to deal with finding a work around for his chest - especially with conforming clothing.

i was hoping forr more mature and attractive male figure. The face kind of has a wizened look. He and the expansions also are teens? Which I just dont use I'm afraid.

I like your mixed much, totally cute. I think corey nose is an excellent feature to get the look that noseless or mini-nose toon characters can't produce.

I hardly ever do cartoon style character art or renders, so seeing Cory I just felt "meh" ! and to me the bundle price seemed way too high. THEN....the price was lowered, and I also noticed this amazing character add-on http://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-kresh-for-cory-6 by some of my favourite PA artists Fisty and Darc, Fred Winkler Art, and Sabby....I was then "hooked".

He seems quite an interesting character, and like previous products from these PA's, there are quite a few texture variations and accessories included.

Looks like I am going to start a new line of renders with Orcs.
