...just got on the forums. Busy day with appointments and celebrating my 35th year here in the great NorthWet.

BTW a belated Mount St Helen's Day.

    Happy 35th. year! :cheese: :cheese:

I'll pass on volcanoes.. :bug: :gulp:

    ...thanks.

Down there you have to worry about tornadoes and earthquakes (the latter a recent phenomenon which I cannot go into details of because of the forums TOS). Here it's Volcanoes and earthquakes (especially the big 9.0+ quake predicted to hit when the Cascadia Subduction fault slips).

When I was working outside the house I was drinking a pot of coffee a day. Now working from home I drink at most 2. My kids drink more than me.

    ...2 pots? wow!

...and the kids drink even more?

Morning. Ugh winter iz come, freezing rain falling from angry grey sky often enough to make sitting outdoors damp and uncomfortable :)

...ugh, Freezing Rain means "Don't go outside" for me.

Don't mind for a while with a thick raincoat on, we don't get enough of it at the best of times :)
...here it means a quarter to half inch of ice on everything. turning sidewalks and streets into skating rinks. At my age that means breaking something.

Get yourself a pair of these...dueNorth Traction Aids. I have the Everyday set, on an old pair of New Balance cross-trainers. No slipping on ice with the traction aids. they have tungsten carbide spikes that do not slip on the ice. I wear them when I'm out doing shoveling and treating the icy driveway with ice melt. I bought them at Lowe's a couple of years ago. Money well spent.

...not sure how well they'd work when getting on a bus though. Couldn't take them off once the bus shows up as that would make the driver and other passengers have to wait longer for me, and I'm not sure he or she would appreciate me boarding and clomping down the aisle wearing them.

They're not huge spikes. Don't dismiss them, give them a shot. It's something that can help.

But she didn't have brown eyes, and his weren't green. :)
She has blue eyes, he has one blue eye and one brown.

And something interesting...every decent photo I've seen of David, the pupil in the blue eye is about 50% smaller than the pupil in the brown eye. It must have something to do with blue eyes being more sensitive to light. Makes for a really odd, different, look

    Dana
In Bowie's case he doesn't have Heterochromia iridium. "Many people think Bowie has two different colored eyes, but that’s not actually what’s going on with his ocular oddity. They’re both blue. What you’re seeing is his permanently dilated pupil. When he was about 15, Bowie got in a fight with a good friend whose fingernail sliced into his eye just so as he got clocked. Doctors were concerned that he would lose his sight entirely in that eye but ended up being able to restore it (albeit with some depth perception and dilation problems). But hey, Bowie doesn’t hold grudges: his sparring partner later did some of the artwork for his album sleeves." - Mental Floss

    Happy birthday, sweet sixteen...

Oh, wait, I think you are just a tad older than that, TroutFace.

I hope your birthday has been terrific. I know you made another sale of your soundtrack.

Yikes, I almost forgot the attachment.

Ah! Ness' Harpsichord! I have that! I had troubles with the textures not loading correctly. Has it been fixed? It looks good in your image.

    ...early morning complaint:

Transit system (or the city, not sure who); removed two bus stops in my neighbourhood to allow for more fraggin car parking (for a stupid new apartment building that has no car park associated with it) . Now if you live between the two main intersections with traffic signals, you have to walk several blocks up to one or down to the other. Tired of having cars impose themselves on those who do not drive.

...and the transit commission mentioned they were trying to make transit moire "attractive". Going to write them and the city when I get up later as the removed bus stops were fairly well used by neigbourhood commuters.
