Probably some other transparency mapped surface behind it is taking precedence. Unfortunately the DS preview doesn't handle overlapping transparent surfaces well at all.

Is there a way to see the tail and just the tail in the preview mode in a way to see how to pose it. I think poser could make somethings in I think it is called wire frame or without the textures so the tail can be seen in order to pose it. Does DS do that?

The weather sure is trying to keep Austin weird. Saw this tidbit on our local newspaper site today: Must be summer out at the F1 track or could be the heat from all those race car engines. The other reporting stations were only reporting high sixties to low eighties.

Comforting to know that summer is out there, somewhere, just not here

eta 4 green dots wow gratz :)

Thanks. A small tornado very close to me hit an U-Haul dealership. There was also a tornado in Corpus Christi. I hope Fyre is okay.

Remove any opacity maps, then reapply the materials before you render.

I'm fine, mostly. Sinuses are going nuts from all the pollen and yuck in the air. Also enjoying my three day weekend.

Oh, my God, that's expensive! Not for a hobbyist...unless it's a rich hobbyist.

Yes indeed, unless you bought it when it first came out as part of the intro sale, when there were some good bargains to be had as it was part of a themed release.

I am thinking I have a product of surreality that I want to use on the mermaid but I don't know what is called other than I own it.

It might help for me to be logged into at the store to figure out what I am thinking of.

Glad to see you posting, TroutFace. A lot of bad stuff going on down there right now. I've seen the floods...trees moving with the flood waters, taking out bridges and houses. And there were reports of tornadoes. Texas and Oklahoma are not doing well right now.

I realize my friends in Texas and Oklahoma have it much rougher than I do. I'm just phobic about storms. :red:

You live in the middle of a forest east of Old Fort? Wow. You are miles away from a big road. Hiwasee Ocoee State Park looks like a nice place to go camping. Stay safe.

Thanks! Yep camping there is nice, depending on how well you get on with black bears. They keep wandering down here into the populated areas and have to be relocated into the mountains.

That's quite understandable, considering the kinds of storms that have been roaming around down there lately!

We've had a couple wandering across the state from the west. Last year one got all the way to Cape Cod. It had to swim across the channel to get there. It was relocated back in western Massachusetts, and a month or so later, it was back on the Cape! We've had them on the news a lot, well, on Fox 25 Boston, anyway. They've been messing with people's bird feeders. More worrisome are the coyotes and bobcats and even a fisher cat that showed up last summer on someone's deck in the greater Boston suburbs. :ahhh:

You know, we've done a lot of hiking in the White Mountains over the years and, although they are supposed to be all around there, we never came across one...even when we hiked up Cannon Mt. They're mostly shy of people. But in the last couple of years, they've been seen right in our resort at the trash dumpsters. A couple of years ago, I went out to the car to get something I had forgotten, and when I was coming back, there were three of them at the dumpster, and two looked to be little ones, climbing up the tree next to it. I went right back to the car and stayed there. I didn't have my phone with me so all I could do was wait until there seemed to be the right moment to head back into the building. I don't want to seem a threat to mama's little ones...they can hurt you.

    Time for supper. Later!
