I feel frustrated. I hate my home life as it feels like I am not getting along with anyone in my home specifically one girl who just rattled my nerves.

Forgot another girl who jabbers to herself all the time.

OMG, what a weekend! :ahhh: :ahhh:

GREAT music all 3 days of the charity event! Got myself a kick-butt t-shirt, too! :cheese:

Drank WAY too much beer. Ate WAY too much spicy food. Stayed up WAY too late, but apparently it was a massice success and they raised several thousand dollars to help children's cancer research! :cheese:

In mild pain today, I actually did some dancing despite my trashed left foot and ankle and it's not loving on me today, and as I fully expected my guts are informing me that I shouldn't do this too often.

This week: stay home, play games, work on album art and liner notes. And take better care of myself... :blank:

    Happy Monday!

Back when I was making dolls, I felt the same way. So much of me went into each doll and each had its own personality. It just about killed me to sell one of them. Finally my husband said I had to quit because I was not going to make any money keeping all of them for myself. :-)

You will tell us when and where to purchase?

Found a free bluray software that claims to play bluray movies but I am having difficulty playing a bluray movie with it.

Do you have a Blur Ray player? I mean the disc machine. Regular DVD players will not play BR, no matter how good the software is.

    Dana

I have a blu Ray drive in my computer and I got the player to work on one blu Ray disc.

BluRay recording formats evolve frequently and make some newer disks at least partially unworkable if not totally bonkers. It's important to make sure you have the latest firmware updates for the drive itself. Check at the manufacturer's website. Or if the computer is a laptop, check specifications from the laptop manufacturer to determine the drive's manufacturer and drive model. Or you may be able to get drive manufacturer and model info from the "Device Manager" dialog of Windows machines.

Careful, you know what happened to the Stranger in "Stranger In A Strange Land", despite all his powers.

    can't remember lol

remember Door's song - people are strange when yoo a stranger

Hmmm, I'm of that era and I even know the house in Melbourne Florida where Jim Morrison lived for a while, but I was actually referring to the 1961 SciFi novel by Robert Heinlein.

(*WARNING: SPOILERS GALORE AT THIS LINK*) (but one could read the article and bring it up at a cocktail party and sound well read and sophisticated)

I read that so long ago I can't recall the story. Did it have Lazarus Long in it?
As far as songs go, The title made think of this one:

I don't remember the name Lazarus Long associated with "Stranger In A Strange Land" and Google didn't find me a connection except through a different novel by Heinlein

Definitely! It'll be on my Bandcamp page, I'll post an announcement when it's ready

It's going to be "Pay what you want" - you can download it for free, or throw in a couple of bucks towards my weekend chickin wings fund.. :P

It's just a painful process, like with your dolls it's been a labor of love, pain, sweat, and a dose of occasional self-doubt. :red:

I want to thank all of your for your kind words, sympathies, and condolences. Chuy was the light of my life and constant companion for almost 14 years. When I got up this morning, I headed to the doggy door to let him out before I remembered. It's hard, but I'll survive a bit longer.

Hmmm... you and I had similar outcomes for the weekend. I like your way better! %-P (I didn't even get a T-shirt)

Actually though, my temperature is down to 97.2 which is close to normal for cold blooded animals like me, but I'm still weak as a kitten and coughing up gobs of goop which I assume is trillions of dead nastys being expelled by my body.

My problem apparently was flu. I had my flu shot earlier this year and it apparently worked. I got the flu! Seriously though, they say that the flu shot, despite not being an exact match for the strain of flu going around, should make the symptoms less severe. Well, if this experience has been the less severe version, then I definitely don't want to experience the real thing. Oy!

I don't buy it. I think they're just trying to sell the stuff because they made it and it cost them money. They take a guess at the strain and gamble that they are correct. Most of the time, they are not. But they still want to make their money. Anti-bodies are normally very specific. Either it will help, or it won't. You couldn't remedy a cobra bite with anti-venom for a rattlesnake. :smirk:

...I find it to be an excellent addition to Daz. Yeah, some things don't work with it as they are specifically tailored to 3DL (like I just discovered testing AoA's Grass Shader). However, I do find using physically natural light is simpler than dealing with the shader mixer and scripting to get a more "photo real" quality. I also like the fact it renders faster for me than Reality/Lux or 3DL with UE.

Where it really seems to "shine" more is when using HDRI environments, Sadly there is only a limited number of free HDRI's available and any sun is "fixed" with regards to elevation in the sky. What we need is an' Azure Skies like add on for Iray which had different sun angles for each HDRI sphere.

http://www.hdrlabs.com/sibl/archive.html Link to a free collection of some mighty high quality HDR/EXR sets. The rest of theirs are just as good, but aren't free.

I used the Chiricahua Plaza one for this :)

...have all the free ones from there. Again the only difficulty I have in using them is when I need the sun at a certain angle such as in the current piece I am working on.

Too bad Dreamlight wouldn't come out with a set of Iray HDRIs each taken at different times of the day. like he did for LDP2 and Azure Skies (the latter which also had HDRIs for use with UE).

I trust drugs that work. For me. Everytime.

My heart would spaz out if I didn't take my little white pill every day, and does if I don't.

I would have to pee one drop at a time if I didn't take my little speckled capsule, and do if I don't.

I would lie in agony with a headache for hours if I didn't take a couple Tylenol, but only have to rest for 30 minutes if I do.

I've known enough people who have suffered Shingles to know that I don't want it and trust that the shot that I got will prevent it but it's a one time deal. I'll let you know if it fails.

And those are just the legal drugs that I trust.

I first experienced acid reflux while in my early thirties (more than half a lifetime ago) I took all sorts of expensive drugs to combat it until I gave them up and finally took my first doctor's advice to stop eating after 6:00 PM, avoid acidic foods like tomato sauces after noon, no chocolate after noon, stay upright most of the day and not to make a pig of myself at anytime. I now have a roll of TUMS that is over a year old and needs to be discarded.

    However, your mileage may vary.

The doctor who first diagnosed it for me congratulated me on the fact that I had the most flaccid stomach valve he'd ever measured. It was a dubious honor. :-S

I try to follow this policy of common sense with many of my gastric issues but the list of forbidden foods is getting longer than I want to remember. Most distressing of which is the giving up of ice cream products (except for low cal cheapo store brand fudgecicles, mmm yum!)

Diane rarely gets home before 6:30 pm on work days, so that's out the window. I love tomato sauce things, especially the home made spaghetti sauce recipe she got from my mom years ago. I have milk in my cereal, and I have a glass of coffee milk, or maple milk, sometimes chocolate milk, while I watch the news late nights. We have been better about portions, though not always.

The medicine I take has worked great. I've only had maybe two incidents in the past half decade...both times it was because I ate too much, too late at night, and went to bed still feeling full.

And by the way, sense is not common!(TM) Need proof? Countless "reality" TV shows, court shows, the propensity of rap and it's followers, arrest reports, teens and adults sexting...thinking it could never get out onto the Internet...I could go on.

Have you tried Skinny Cow products? Very tasty. We get the low fat variety, low calories and yet still yummy. They have fudge bars, ice cream sandwhiches, and ice cream cones with fudge or caramel topping. All yummy.

When my mom was still around, we had a Shetland Sheepdog male that was the friendliest thing we'd ever seen. When we brought home an orange-and-white kitten just like that one, the dog almost literally adopted him as his child xD
Would gnaw gently on him, and sleep with him, and just be all around friendly and stuff. Even shared his food dish. :)

...sweet. That's a pretty big one too. Love the "eyes" on the wings.

Here only been seeing the small white ones so far. No Monarchs, Clippers, or Swallowtails yet.

The Cinco De Mayo festival on the waterfront here has a flutterby tent this year. The rub is it costs 8$ just to get into the grounds (unless I can spoof them into thinking that I'm already 62, then it's 4$).

Many years ago I once read a report of an experiment that found that only 7% of people put into common sense situations exhibited common sense.

It's amazing that the human species has survived and flourished technologically when 9 out of 10 members are led around by their gonads, or their stomachs or driven like sheep by wolves.
