complaint: computer program cannot find javaw. I thought the Java's setup program automatically added the path to javaw.exe to the PATH statement. Now I need to manually add the correct command, somehow. Yes, I am lazy. lol
edit: clicked submit too early
Morning. At work & sore throat flu sick all at once, only another ten hours to go, ony another day to go after that I think I can I think I can....
...not native out here. Impressive that they can have a wingspan of up to 6".
Just checked around, and the only permanent Flutterby aviary here in the Northwest is up in Seattle at the Pacific Science Centre (19$ general admission for the entire centre). The really spectacular ones are in California, Texas, Florida and Australia.

Does he happen to know...umm...Powdered Toast Man?
Now I can watch Frozen with the free bluray player software. That is great.
hmmm don't know bout his toast, but he turns into a bat after a few turns, then invisible, then he's grand papillon again. he has a lot of atk points as a bat, but he can't cast spells as a bat.
is a weird game. there's a puppeteer, collect dresses for his doll, she gets more spells.

Tough love.... :P
I recall living in Plano, 45 years ago, and coming out on the back porch of Grandmas house, where my parents had left me while they went of Goddess-knows-where. The backyard was alive with fireflies, it being late Spring, and the trees and bushes were lit up like Christmas trees. My Grand-Dad took me out, taught me how to catch the fireflies without hurting them, and even after decades I still recall the feeling of wonder as I held this tiny thing that flashed and glowed, and the awe of Nature that I have never forgotten.
The next day, Grandma took me out back, to the shed.. there was a moth on the window omg, to me it was HUGE, a Luna moth.. lovely beyond imagining. She told me how to hold it so as to not knock the scales off its wings, which could stop it flying.. it was magickal.
I mourn that much of the world has lost the wonder that comes from simply existing. But from what I see, soon enough there won't be an existence to experience. Not sure that's a bad thing.
Forgive me, creating this album has been the hardest thing I have ever done in a very long life. I spent a long time trying to suppress the creativity in me and it was not, not, not wise. And I never thought I would live this long. I must have something left to do.
If the fire burns in you, let it out, or it will burn you instead. It sure as Hell did me.
In eternal memory of my love Sabine Sklar, passed November 20, 2003. I do not forget. The memory of you is hungry and demanding.
Many years ago I once read a report of an experiment that found that only 7% of people put into common sense situations exhibited common sense.
It's amazing that the human species has survived and flourished technologically when 9 out of 10 members are led around by their gonads, or their stomachs or driven like sheep by wolves.
Many years ago, huh? Well, you can bet that percentage has dropped by now.
Compared with other species, like the dinosaurs, we haven't really lasted that long yet.

I still get a kick from lightning bugs. Been seeing a few here already.
And I love Luna moths. My Dad's mother was named Luna. :)
...interesting lullaby.
I prefer Chopin, but that's just me.
...Leela's story is doing the same to me. She keeps that sense of wonder alive for me now..
There's a reason why so many pics of her I create have flutterby in them.
...interesting lullaby.
I prefer Chopin, but that's just me.
"Enter Sandman"?
In the middle of a nasty storm, wind, hail, now the sun came out. On the upside finished early, normally would hate that but think I have a temp despite lots of asprin, not well anyhow. On the downside crap is blowing everywhere and the bridge is down to one lane inbound so stuck in a cab taking the long way home. Complaint.
Playing some Supertramp, are you? ;-)

Had to get a friend to sub for me the rest of the job, seem to have some kinda flu bug which isn't fair cos I had the flu shot a couple of weeks ago. Can't recall feeling this crappy for a long while. Lemon juice and tea, aspirin and some kind of vile brown liquid from the pharmacy might bring voice back any time soon tho :)
Playing some Supertramp, are you? ;-)

Not sure what I did.
Aww, get better fastest. I bet you caught it from LeatherGryphon. The 'Net is full of bugs waiting to infect innocent visitors. :-)

I enjoy being with children as they discover the magic (and I re-discover it with them). Fireflies--Yes, oh yes. The wonder of seeing them light up. Some years we have many, other years it seems like there are none. More monarchs on my ligustrum than in the past two years. My next-to-youngest grandson had a collection of pill bugs. He watched them so intently that he said he could tell the difference in them. Each one was named by him. The doves, grackles, and sparrows are competing with Ian for the mulberries.
"Enter Sandman"?
now i lay me down to sleep
it's just the beasts under your bed
playin some Jefferson Airplane, may make people think i'm alive.

Feliz cinco de mayo.
donde beer?
Get well quickly, ps1borg!
The Baltimore Orioles returned yesterday. I heard the birdsong, looked around and saw a couple in one of my trees. I went outside with the camera and caught a few images and a short video. Now I'm waiting for the Northern Mockingbird and the Grey Catbird.
