Rangers lost.
donde lunch?
Many years ago, huh? Well, you can bet that percentage has dropped by now.
Compared with other species, like the dinosaurs, we haven't really lasted that long yet.
Dana
When we're gone it may be the cockroaches, but I'm rooting for the slime-molds! :cheese:
Slime molds are the heroes in one of my short stories! They happen to be organic computers and the most intelligent beings in the galaxy.
Some scientists think the cockroaches will be the only thing that survives the Apocalypse because they can withstand 1000 times the radiation a human can. Another scientist shakes his head and says the last coyote on earth will eat the last cockroach on earth...
Meh. Doc appoint today, and I got read the Riot Act. :shut:
In order to avoid getting an ulcer or perforated intestine, apparently I must:
- Cut back on, then quit, coffee
- Stop eating anything spicier than brown mustard for a month, pretty much quit hot peppers
- Stop eating highly acidic breath mints like they were candy
- Cut back on tomato products (bye bye V8)
- Find some way to dramatically drop my stress level
- Get more sleep
Oh joy. Oh, and she gave me this weird demon skin red goof that I get to take every night before I go to bed, apparently an anti-inflammatory for the guts. If it tastes like it looks, it's going to be hard to keep down. :shut:
Definitely not a happy camper, but at least nothing is wrong yet and I should be fine, just bored mindless with food. :blank:
Meh, anyway, being useful at home, rendering audio for "Thrown Against The Sky" as individual songs so they can be put in a playlist, and figuring out how to set up a "pay what you want" Bandcamp page.
Still, meh. :blank:

... and some fungus amungus will rise triumphant.
I mowed some of my yard today. I'm too old to do that, but too cheap to pay some else to do it. Ah well...
Some say age is a state of mind. Wrong. It's a state of body.
...ugh, no coffee. How does one stay awake and conscious? Whatever you do don't go to energy drinks as they contain taruine which is really really bad.
No wings, pasta, pizza,,or salsa (even mild) for burritos/tacos either. Oy.
At least you weren't forced to go on a strict "rabbit food" diet. Don't think I could handle that.
..and at least, nothing about having to quit beer.
I went to play music on my computer but could not hear a thing. I tried increasing the volume within the computer but nothing changed. I went to change the volume through the speakers controls and saw that there was a pair of ear buds connected to it. I forgot I was listening to music last night before going to bed.
Someday you too will find that your least objectionable dinner is oatmeal. :smirk:
But just to twist the knife a little bit,... Today after being sick for at least 5 days, and crawling, writhing, miserable for two I finally had the energy to tidy up the house a little. Did the dishes, cleaned the toilet, bundled up the garbage and drove it to the transfer station. On the way back I grabbed a Wendy's Jalopeno Fresco Spicy Chicken sandwich for the first time ever. Now, I like hot, but I wasn't quite ready for the first big bite of that. Sounds delicious, doesn't it? I had to give up after the first half. I'll save the other half for when the fire goes out.
I thought I returned Frozen and went to put in Despicable me in the drive and the drive complained. Apparently the Frozen disc was still in the disc drive.
Sorry to hear that.
I don't drink coffee, but I love coffee milk! That would be tough.
I don't eat breath mints very often...and by very often I mean times in a year that can be counted on one hand with probably four fingers left.
But no tomato products? Uh-uh, not happening.
I love spicy! So that won't happen, either.
More sleep? Not much chance of that happening, either.
Drastically lower stress? Hmm...maybe if I suddenly had a good income. No worries about losing the house. Clearing my credit card would help...but today I just added to the balance...twice.

I don't like oatmeal. Wheatena with 100% pure Grade A Dark Amber maple syrup on it, yes. Oatmeal, no.
I like spicy, but I don't care for the taste of Jalapeno peppers. I prefer chili peppers, or habanero peppers. I like their original spicy chicken sandwich, though, now and then.

double feature? :)
BUPPPIEEEEZ OUTSIDE!!!
heh :red: looks like i was posting under the influence the other day

Most of this is only until I undo the damage.. it's not bland for all eternity or I'd iggy all her recommendations.
I lived fast, burning the candle at both ends, and there is no escaping consequences.. this is minor for me, nobody died, no world shattering life changes.. just a break from my normal redline lifestyle. :blank:
I'll spend my time finishing "Thrown Against the Sky", opening my FB to people I like, and prepping for my next album "Tree Of Life", which will be a more balanced light-and-dark album. :red:
I am very adaptable, as long as I get my way! :snake: :snake:

I need to meditate. When I meditated my BP was 100/70, my resting heart was 55. :blank: :blank:
Somewhere, I wandered off the True Path. Need to find it aain.
In the early to mid 1980s I was working out at a club four days a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I'd get on the Lifecycle and do the normal program (12 minutes) at level 8 (the highest), then I'd hit the Nautilus circuit and finish off with some crunches with a 50 lb. weight on my chest. On Thursdays, I'd just hit the Lifecycle, but on the random program (more difficult, almost no rest...all hills). That program ran 20 minutes, but I'd keep going for a total of 40 minutes. My resting heart rate in those days was 30b/m. But that seems like another lifetime ago.

...still need to be careful in the long run to avoid a recurrence.
Getting old is no fun.
For one, "all you can eat" buffets (we have a number of Indian joints up here that offer lunch buffets) are actually a waste today as I rarely ever go back for seconds. When I was back in college, I was surprised I didn't send such places into bankruptcy.
For me coffee was extremely difficult to give up as I used to drink it by the thermos full (and I had the "big green" Stanley steel lined one). However the acid eventually began to bother me mainly because for most of my life I was drinking low grade poorly made coffee such as you get at places like at Denny's or a cheap truck stop. These days I can occasionally get an Americano with steamed milk and that sits OK with me, but otherwise, a strong British tea is now my caffeinated beverage of choice.
No longer can have pepperoni which makes it difficult when getting pizza at the market or with friends who want to order pizza (usually I'm the odd person out or stuck sharing a veggie pizza that the non-meat eaters ordered).
Brekkie is pretty plain as I cannot have eggs and no longer can tolerate greasy food in the morning. So it's either a toasted bagel, rolled oats, or hotcakes (the latter with either pure Maple syrup or apple sauce). As a matter of fact, I tend to shun most "over greasy" stuff whatever the time of the day (which is another reason I avoid Fast Food joints). Pretty tough when on the road unless there's a Subway by where we stop. Crikey, I rarely even buy a bag of crisps anymore and if I do, they usually go stale before I finish them.
As to "hot stuff", can't do jalapenos or habaneros any more and never had a taste for "traditional" wings (the "vinegary" taste together with the spiciness makes me ill). Fortunately however, have no issue with curry, English pub mustard, Sriracha, regular red, or Hatch chiles.
Still like a good cheezey burger and fries but both have to be well made, the burger needs to be moist but not dripping with grease and the fries crisp, not all limp and oily. Unfortunately, to get a burger and fries like that means going to a place that costs a lot more than MickyD's, Wendy's, or even few pubs I know of. Usually I just end up making my own as I have a method for making crisp non greasy fries as well as a special marinade for the burger and only use the leanest non-hormone/non-antibiotic range fed beef (usually 95% lean) topped with "real" cheese, not that tasteless "sliced cheese food product" the FF places use.
eating peaches n cream oatmeal for dins

Thanks, but didn't need the TUMS, I wanted to try their new sandwich and I got away with it. But in keeping with my rules I didn't have it after noon and I didn't make a pig of myself. Will eat the other half tomorrow. I used to order my Subway foot long sandwiches by specifying "and with a big ol' handful of jalopenos slathered across the length" and often eat the whole sandwich. Now I specify "and exactly four jalopenos evenly spaced, two on each half" ... and eat each half several hours apart. I ain't stupid (anymore). :red:
Mmmm oatmeal.
...gahh! 666 Spam mails in the Spam box! :ohh:
Mmmm oatmeal.
Yuck, oatmeal! :smirk:

...not bad if it's the thick old fashioned kind served with a bit of butter and real maple syrup.
...especially on a cold damp or rainy day.
Far more nutritious than most processed dry cereals as well..
Aww, get better fastest. I bet you caught it from LeatherGryphon. The 'Net is full of bugs waiting to infect innocent visitors. :-)
Was wearing a heavy drizabone raincoat but still got soaked on location just before dawn yesterday, got real cold and by lunchtime was running a fever and by last night was a basket case  Had a flu shot a couple of weeks ago so should bounce back pretty quick will just have to stay quiet until then. Iz hard to stay quiet
I opened one of my my Daz Scenes that had a beach in it. Now I forgot what I wanted to do with the scene.

I don't drink coffee myself - I'm already an insomniac as it is so I don't need it
No pizza and tacos would make me cry so hard inside ;v;
No beer? Already on that
Awww but I like oatmeal D:
Especially with a touch of brown sugar and honey ^^
...honey on rolled oats is good as well.
It's not a Kracken, but it is about to have lunch..
