Drizzly and in the 50s today. Looks like finally a bit of a respite from the drenching Texas and Oklahoma have been receiving..

Summer in Zagreb, 80s & 90s for the next ten days.

Meanwhile the weather in Milwaukee seems to not have have a clue it is the first of June. Sunny, but only 50° (21° below the normal for this time of year) and it's already after 13:00 there.

51F here right now. Far cry from the 80s we've had lately.

I've been busy with my website the past two days. I didn't notice that the eBots stopped notifying me again. They really don't like me. make me feel unwanted.

Non-complaint: I got the PayPal stuff working on my site! Yay! It's about time. :)

    Old age!

i can still remember barney the purple dino

What do you mean "remember"? He's still on the boob tube. My 3-yr old grandson loves to watch him and even dances with Barney. Oh, yes, I remember Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Greenjeans. The show that preceded it where we were was Ding Dong School with Miss Frances. My little sister and brother thought she was actually hearing them and would enthusiastically shout answers to her questions.

Got an email from someone who wants to put me and some friends in an historical exhibition, iz depressing

Depressing is visiting a museum and having your daughter exclaim: Look, Mom, we have one of those in our kitchen, but we use ours.

Now we all want to know what it was don't we?

    Yes, do tell, AtticAnne!

    ..cool.

May have to toss some more in my account as well. Is more convenient for Net purchases and a lot of ebay sellers use it exclusively.

Nvidia supposedly released the GTX 980TI (6 GB 2818 CUDA Cores) today, so time to start seeing what kinds of cards people will be dumping. Seeing a lot of the last generation Titans already selling for about 500 - 650$ so wonder if this will make the price slip even more. Also seeing a lot of Quadro 6000s (the 6 GB ones) for about the same price though they'll be a lot slower as they only have 448 cores.

Only? Only? What does that make my nvidia with only 32 cores?

just logging in to let everyone know that I am o.k. I'm tired from going to a convention in Tysons Corner three days in a row. Next time, I am going to book a hotel room near the convention instead of sleeping at my friend's house. Ok, good night all.

Freedom Hill, Peach Grove Fort is that the same place? Meh google fu is not so great but somewhere in Virginia ?

A quick Google finds Freedom Hill Elementary School in Fairfax county Virginia. Same county as Tysons Corner. Tysons Corner is northwest of Washington DC, ten miles or so out, about halfway to Dulles Airport. Don't let the name fool you, Tysons Corner is not a small town! But there are photos of when it was just a service station/restaurant at the intersection of routes 7 and 123.

    Tysons Corner 1936 and now:

    That corner sure morphed! :smirk:

    Dana

Peach Grove was one of the Washington redoubts during the US civil war, remember reading about it years ago :)

One of the add-ons/plugins is interfering with my ability to type text into the text boxes. The cursor moves around randomly unless I start the browser in safe mode. Now I need to determine which add-on is causing my cursor to move around randomly. later

edit: enabling add-ons one by one is tedious.
