The only real "clue" is "Join us Sept. 21 at 16:00 MDT (UTC-6) for a sneak peek at a jaw-dropping new addition to the Daz lineup." I'm hoping it's DAZ Studio 5, but I have a hard time thinking of that as a "new adddition to the DAZ lineup" as it's more an evolution, not an "addition", which leaves, as suggested, something "AI" based to match NVidia's event, or something else NVidia-related. Maybe, "DAZ Beyond" to line up with GeForce Beyond".
I'm hoping that anytihng major would require DAZ Studio 5, but that's probably just my wishful thinking.
As well, it's a "Sneek Peek", so whatever's shown could still be a ways away.
It's been a long time since my jaw's been dropped, but fingers crossed.
Maybe they're working on integrating Nvidia Omniverse into te interface, or something of the sort.

When Genesis was first released, they named the whole product line of morphs Genesis "Evolution"...
so hopefully in calling it The Next Evolution is a big hint at Genesis 9, and all its "evolution" morph packs.

Actually just because someone left some towels on it and I'm too lazy to move them...
Being that not everyone got the email, I'm thinking it's something selective... Probably NFT related or something equally targeted to a particular taste or proclivity... probably due to something you bought or subscribed to... I don't subscribe to anything and didn't get the email, which is why I figure that.
That and the YouTube announcement "Going Live in 5 Days" seems like they are trying to drive buzz for individuals who may be prone to excitement over a particular niche items or trends.
Thats a wild guess...
Otherwise 9... it's always aliens.
I actually hate when they do stuff like this, because it feels like it's one of those emails like "Your Action Is Critical!!" or "300% Match Unlocked!!"... Does it really have to be announced that way?
On top of that a lot of other "exciting announcements" have not been exciting in a thrilling manner as opposed to something that spikes your blood pressure, so honestly I'm not expecting anything good... In fact I'm hoping it's aliens, because that's literally the best thing I can hope for based on past performance.

Well if that's the case, the only DAZ email subscriptions i'm a part of are the normal DAZ newsletter and the DAZ+ newsletter. No Tafi and NFT newsletters are subscribed.

My TOP 6 Bets:
1. Daz Studio 5 (the email title, "Huge Announcement Incoming!")
2. Genesis 9 figures (the email graphic, "The Next Evolution")
3. New Animation Tools and/or Mo-Cap capabilities
4. Support for another Render Engine (such as Eevee or Intel ART) or Real-Time Rendering!
5. Daz Studio iPad app
6. More Daz Bridges and/or tighter integration for other popular 3D apps, Gaming apps, Animation Apps, Clothing Creation apps, etc.
Seeing as the email blub mentions a "new addition to the DAZ lineup" I doubt that it is DS5 - the wording just doesn't suggest a software update.
What might a new addition be? Well, to riff off the Poser thing above - maybe DAZ has acquired Poser? I'm not sure that Renderosity was a fitting home for that perpetual orphan.
Anything NFT related would be nothing short of a disgrace.
Adobe ownership would spell the end of my involvement with DAZ.
I could believe NVidia might have an interest though.

I'm guessing Gen 9 based on the wording, but man I'd love some decent cloth physics. If I could ditch Marvelous Designer for simulation from my workflow I would be a happy renderer.
If I remember correctly, the last time Daz teased an announcement like this, it was just the release of Underbelly, an ArtStation buyout.
The last announcement like this was the countdown to the those virtual models / proto NFT about two years ago.
I''m expecting it to be something Virtual Avatar related, Meta verse related, like those avatar programs from last week.
Before those it was the 3D printing, the stock art, the first Genesis (cross character clothes was a big thing back then)... The Genesis Supersuit also got a big unveiling back in the day.
I've been around a loooong time too and sorry, but that made me laugh. LOL
Hoping for either Genesis 9 or Daz Studio 5. If it's latter, I just hope it'll run on my PC.

Dream: animation upgrade
Expectation: Genesis 9
Thought: We just got volumetrics for Daz 4.. IMO a good roadmap wouldn't iterate to Daz 5 so soon after a major upgrade unless Daz has too.
I have never been bowled over by ANY Daz hype so far. I'm gonna assume I'm not this time either ;).

Soft body physics? That might be a big version number upgrade too, though.
I expect whatever it is to be either a) extremely underwhelming or b) very bad for my wallet.
A "jaw-dropping new addition to the Daz lineup" is probably the most informative part of the announcement.
An "addition to the lineup" sounds like a product of some kind, rather than something NFT-related (I hope). I think if they were just launching another collection of ugly monkey JPEGs, the hype would have a different feel to it, so I'm betting against NFTs. But that may be wishful thinking on my part.
A new version of an existing software product -- even DAZ Studio 5 -- probably wouldn't be "an addition to the lineup". A new version of their in-house software would replace previous versions, so it wouldn't really be an "addition".
On the other hand, a new version of a figure model (i.e. Genesis 9) might be, if you think of the existing range of Genesis figures as "a lineup". And "jaw-dropping" is certainly what you'd hope for from a new and more realistic figure release.
So I'm going to bet on either (a) Genesis 9, or (b) an entirely new piece of software, possibly an acquisition. If it's software, it would most likely be something novel that complements DAZ Studio.
It might just possibly be a replacement for one of the currently languishing products (Carrara, Bryce, Hexagon). But with Blender gaining more and more traction, I'd be surprised if DAZ were going to roll out a Carrara/Hexagon/Bryce replacement, which would be necessarily in the same space that is increasingly dominated by Blender. Unless they could come up with something way better than Blender -- which I doubt they could -- there's no real sense in trying to compete with a very capable free product. Perhaps a ZBrush or SubstancePainter competitor? But perhaps not.
So I suspect that Genesis 9 is the most likely option.

A new widgit showing your overall spending at the Daz store for the year? In my case that would be a BIG anouncement, I would be fine with them fixing .20 though.

It doesn't sound like a software update to me either, @marble. To my mind, a "lineup" evokes the imagery of people with distinct characteristics, but a common objective. So I'm thinking Genesis 9, best case.
But I do remember the last time when DAZ made a huge deal about just another G8 Character, Underbelly or something. What a disappointment that was.
Worst case, something having to do with NFTs.
Daz is acquiring Speechelo (text to speech software) to aid animation - promptly stops development.
