People are still missing stuff and Daz staff haven't posted publicly about it to my knowledge, so submitting a support ticket would probably be the best way to get a clear answer. But usually when bundles include the anatomical elements, they are listed somewhere on the store page for the item.

Good grief the poor communication by Daz is just amazing.

I am still trying to figure this stuff out myself. But it looks like the gen prop is NOT included with core character bundles anymore. The prop appears to be included in the new paid product Genesis 9 Character Essentials, which not to be confused with the Starter Essentials.

The poor communication comes from the complete lack of information relaying where the prop is. There is no PSA or anything from Daz telling customers this. The product might list it in the description, but who is going to guess that without looking? There should be some kind of hint in the name of the product, you know, like Genesis 9 Character and Genital Essentials or something. Though I must say Genital Essentials sounds too funny. So maybe call Genesis 9 Character and Anatomical Essentials.

Aside from naming, this is a really strange product. It has nothing but eyebrows, eye lashes, eye textures...and the genital props???

One of these things really stands out, LOL. Seriously, I think only Daz would do something like this. It is GREAT that the genital prop is no longer tied to buying a bundle, really, it is. That idea is to be commended. But like this? Daz basically hid the genital prop away where few people would find it. It just seems like if this product absolutely must be bundled with something else, the product the gen prop should be bundled with should be one that uses the Daz 'Mature' filter. You know, the thing you guys recently created to filter stuff and make Daz safer for work? Yeah, that would make sense. Like that kinky leather outfit in Victoria's bundle, oh you know the one, that could be the headline outfit for the bundle that includes your Daz gen prop.

Thus, people buying that bundle would probably be the type of people who might actually be looking for that gen prop, and hey look, there it is. Imagine that. Is this really that hard to do? Is it really this hard to come up with? I can spit these out all day long if you need help.

It think that makes a lot more sense than having the gen prop stashed away in a bundle dedicated to EYES. Maybe their is some kind of joke here, like the eyes in this bundle are ogling the gen props. But I rather think a number of people are buying this bundle dedicated to EYES and wondering why they have a wiener in their library now.

I actually think the line I bolded is an intentional choice. I don't know if it has to do with strict Utah laws on distributing adult material or something, but Daz usually goes out of their way not to advertise that the gen grafts exist, they never sell them directly, and officially their purpose is anatomical completeness only. This is the closest I've seen them come to making them available for direct purchase, so it makes sense if that's the case that they're an outlier in an unrelated bundle--you're primarily buying stuff that is definitely unrelated to genitals, and oh by the way it also includes the genitals.

I think it's super weird especially since they've got whole categories of items that are straightforwardly About Sex, but one of the third-party sites has a hilariously stern prohibition on sexual items like bondage clothing, etc. when 80% of the most popular clothing vendors there are making obvious fetish gear. Insert here my off-topic, three-hour TED talk on how crackdowns on this stuff almost always lead to situations where the same sexual content just ends up unmarked in general content categories because sites still want to sell it but have to disingenuously pretend there's nothing sexual about it. That's one of the reasons I was glad to see the mature filter here.

On another site the female parts are called Orchid...

I do get that up here, where we have grown up with the whole family going to sauna in the nude together, without it having any sexual innuendo  (It's just like having a family dinner (with clothes on)), and being taught by Hollywood movies and TV series how everybody in the states passes their time doing the horizontal mambo - Which apparently couldn't be further from the truth... But all in all, the way they are handling the issue, sounds and feels so juvenile and so mid-20th century.

Yeah, that's the part that bothers me--a lot of times what's allowed is everything short of nudity, so sites like DeviantArt and Instagram have tons of fetish/kink content that isn't properly tagged or categorized to avoid drawing attention to it, but nudity is the "okay, now it's porn" line even if there's nothing particularly sexual going on. It's very juvenile, but a lot of Americans think of sex the same way we do alcohol: you can't stop people from indulging, and most of us will have a drink or two at some point, but if you encourage someone to think of it as good or give them the means to pursue their interest in it, you could be Leading Them Down the Path to Ruin. devil

Unfortunately, if they were less circumspect and sternly buttoned up about it, it would probably be easy for the wrong weirdo to drum up a slow news day controversy about how you can just??? put no-no parts???? on digital barbie dolls???????? And nothing is stopping ???CHILDREN???? from seeing this????????? like certain news channels did when they decided to characterize the first Mass Effect's 30-second, non-explicit, fade-to-black makeout scenes as a sex simulator.

But fortunately, one can still freely play a violent game with the red stuff splattering all over, with the children being the most enthusiastic players... Unless of course a partial slip of a pokie is seen somewhere in the far distance if looked through a telescope, in which case it's banned for anyone under 70

Yes, the Victoria 9 bundle does not include the Anatomical Elements, just textures for them.

I am told that there should be matching maps for the genitals, I have bounced back to say that there are not (according to you and the file list).

I'm very sorry but there was a "not" missing from the reply i received. There are not, currently at least, aantomical element maps to match the base textures. Until we get some add-on characters the only way to usde the anatomical elements is on Victoria 9. I can only offer my apologies for having got your hopes up incorrectly.

  • So for now, copying the body surface to the genitalia will do in a pitch, and parenting an earlier gen pubes. Plus ca change.

Victoria textures for anatomy are only good for victoria skin, and completely mismatched and different from 4 sets of skin shaders present in essentials. I honestly don't know why Daz desided it was a good idea to include anatomy and not supply correct textures to it. Renders it kind of unusable.

  • There's plenty of left hand poses but I'm not finding any RIGHT hand in Essentials.

I don't see any hand poses at all. Still, Edit>Figue>Symmetry should help.
