Victoria 9 HD Pre Purchase Disappointment Issues

I purchased the Victoria 9 HD Package and also got the free(?) Genesis 9 Starter Package. On the product page it says that it includes the Supported Shapes such as:
- Emaciated
- Fitness Details
- Fitness Mass
- Heavy
- Lithe
- Muscular Details
- Muscular Mass
- Older
- Pear Figure
- Portly
- Stocky
- Thin
- Tone
- Voluptuous
- Mass Body
- Proportion Height
- Proportion Larger
- Proportion Smaller

- Base Feminine

- In fact I find zeo ability to modify any of these things, which we have come to expect with all prior new Victorias and Michael versions. Not withstanding the great new features I'm stuck with the ianbiity to makes any of the basic Shape changes as listed above. Changing the Eyebrows is nice, but does not change the Basic Overall Shape. I assume this is either a mistake during a rushed public release, or that I have to shell out a lot of money to be able to make the shape changes that I have come to expect.

These are included with the G9 base
The other morphs will become available soon. When they do, the outfits will recognize them and conform accordingly.
Better hope that "soon" is not Daz Soon®.
I don't understand why it isn't available on day one. If it is not ready, that is poor planning. If it is intended...that is still some poor planning. These are pretty basic morphs, they are kind of important, and one of the most obvious add on packs a customer might buy. Now you got to hope the customer comes back to buy them. There is a chance they may not. Those first impressions are important, and Genesis 9 feels very incomplete right now.
It may be the early days and more content is coming, but you guys need to remember that Genesis 9 is competing against customer's existing Genesis 8 runtimes. People have had like 4 years to build up their G8 library and unless the basic stuff is available sooner than Daz Soon® there may be a problem getting people on board.
This way gives V9 her own day of glory so to speak ;-)
I'm fairly sure that the morph bundles, etc. will follow over the next weeks, months, etc. as they usually do.
I for one am not disappointed with the Bundle although a little surprized that the a.e. have to be yet another purchase - but the price isn't bad at all. And for those down the road in time I'm sure they will appreciate that they don't have to shell out for a full Pro bundle just to get a set.
Agree, for such a big deal for a new figure, having very little released on the day this product launched is underwhelming. And as you said those with a lot of previous generation content, may not be interested considering there is barely anything worth buying at the moment.
I know for myself it was at least a year or so before I started buying Genesis 8 content, so maybe again with Genesis 9 all depends on what is released for it.
That might be one way to look at it, but I have to disagree. Genesis 8 at least offered some compatible features with G3, you could drop most G3 skins right on 8. Poses would work, and only needed a small adjustment. With 9, however, few things work on G9. You can't drop your old skins on it. Poses do not work at all. So people are truly starting all over again, and we have to remember that we have not had to start over again since 2017.
I had to look, and Genesis 8 launched on October 12, 2017. So it has been exactly 5 years since Genesis 8 launched. And frankly, people got used to Genesis 8 being "the" Daz model. People who had stuck to Victoria 4 for ages finally moved on to Genesis 8. That is what Genesis 8 accomplished. Also keep in mind that Daz was doing some wild bundling in the Genesis 8 early days. Remember how buying a bundle they gifted like 2 or even 3 Pro bundles with it? This really pushed people to take the leap that might not otherwise. I was one of them.
I also don't feel the bundle is really offering anything. One single hair, one single pose pack, 3 very not everyday clothing items (unless you wear a bikini or fetish wear everyday day), expressions, and a make up pack. It is a pretty sparse bundle. When you look at past bundles I see more in the older bundles. Victoria 8 has 2 hairs, 2 pose packs, FIVE outfits covering more variety, expressions, and 2 extra characters. V8 also had makeup included with her base, not sold separately. Granted, I suppose the makeup product with V9 has more stuff, but still, it is sold separately and considered one of of the products included with the bundle.
That just doesn't drive value to me.
So now Genesis 9 is starting over in many ways, and I would bet some good money that a lot of people are going to wait.
I like that Genesis 9 has 4 male and 4 female skins, that is pretty cool. So there's that. But I am talking about the Victoria 9 bundle itself. So after playing with these I am just sitting here thinking why would I even need Victoria 9 anyway? It is just not compelling to me. Victoria 9 is not ugly, but I am just not into her all that much. Maybe someday I'll get the character by itself.
Well, not being able to download any of the PURCHASED V9 Bundle is a pretty big disappointment. Have a trouble ticket in but no resolution as of yet.
G3 to G8 isn't exactly a fair comparison, because G3 and G8 had nearly identical meshes and the same UV. The biggest difference between them in terms of non-morph content was the switch from T pose to A pose. Hell, a lot of people complain that G8 wasn't different enough from G3 and should have just been an upgrade to G3. I wasn't around in those days, but I expect the transition from, for example, G2 to G3 was much more jarring to people used to the older figure, and it's only because G8 has been around so long that the leap to G9 seems so onerous.

Without having ability to customise & tweak minutiae with head/body morphs I'm already being bored with Victoria 9...
I agree....I'm gettiing there. All I really find myself doing is trying on older generations' clothing to see if it fits.
I guess I'll go and read up on the Transfer utility so I can get some of this AprilYSH hair and others with bones over to G9.

Would be nice if I could download the V9 bundle I preordered.
The one outfit that I will and have used from the bundle was Lyoness's Mango Movement Collection for G9. These turned out to be serious exercise clothes and not ala Jane Fonda either. She packed in sliders to adjust so many things I couldn't imagine, a jacket that actually can be worn over the other tops and pants for cold weather running/walking, shorts, shirts of all types of sleeves and necks. While there are only three color options, they work together and you can still use shaders. And the socks, knee or ankle, could be used for other outfits that don't offer them, and the tennis shoes, nice.
And like my past few days have gone, just as I was about to render a final version, I clicked one time too many without a save and crashed DAZ. My computer is a whinny little brat. It wasn't the character, dog, or clothes, but the render engine switching too many times.
And OOT, love the hair, but can't figure out what is with A and B on the hair.
Never download the fetish joke. I would have preferred something more versatile. So I also went with 10-in-1 Casual Wardrobe which I have bought the ones for previous generations and got my money worth.
I really wish we had a more standard pack of poses for both sexes that aren't models or strippers or whatever is in the G9 Starter Essentials, but there is few that a man could use. We need the conversion packs fast.
I asked Daz about your account, as a possible test case for the others having issues, and they show the products as assigned. They will appear at the date you placed the order, rather than the release date or date added, so if you have a lot of pending items make sure you check back far enough. if they definitely are not showing for you please open a support ticket as there may be an account issue.
I put in a help request ticket yesterday about this time. I have Genesis 9 Starter Essentials, Character Essentials, and Anatomical Essentials, but my Victoria 9 HD intro bundle I ordered on 9/21/2022 is nowhere to be found in both DIM or DAZCentral.
Look for Victoria 8 HD Intro Bundle. My 'Presale' bundle was renamed that. Also, the bundle never showed up in DIM, but the items did. So sort by Highest Product ID and you have a chance to see them in DIM, rather than searching by item name individually. The sort by Recent Purchase (?) is messed up again.
The bundle wouldn't show as there are no bundle-specific files, just the sub-products
Yeah I was looking for the individual products including Victoria 9 HD as well but nothing yet.
Same, I do not have Victoria 9 HD or the bundle items as of yet.
I have gone back quite a ways in the listing for DIM. No V9. I've attached a couple of screen shots to show what appears in my Product Library page. Both on selecting the Victoria 9 Bundle in the listing at left of page and what happens when I click on the V9 HD icon. The product may be assigned 'somewhere' but nowhere I can access it. I do not get any of the download options on the Product Library page for the bundle. Also attached a screenshot of DC. VERY DISAPPOINTED that it takes all this effort to resolve something which a select few of us are experiencing.
Same with me - the Victoria 9 HD bundle shows up in my product library on the DAZ website and when I choose it I get a forever spinning circle. My DAZCentral shows only Genesis 9 products that downloaded fine and working. I'm really super disappointed at this point. I'm seeing other folks using Victoria 9 with no problems and here I sit. My ticket is still open from yesterday.
One more for good measure
If nothing happens tomorrow I might just cancel the the Victoria 9 HD bundle order and buy what I really want. Actually comes out a bit cheaper.
Let me join the club. Same for me. Bundle shows as purchased. All the subitems inlcuding Victoria 9 HD are not showing up as purchased. Hence not showing up as downloadable.

I'm glad I'm not the only one disappointed with the way Daz rolled out G9. First of all the Victoria 9 character....two skin choices, freckled and vitiligo?!?! I will never use vitiligo (and I read a lot of other people won't either), I just don't understand why they didn't offer freckled and just a regular skin texture (with no moles, freckles, blemishes, warts, or big patches of different colored skin).
Also not releasing a morph pack, with body and face morphs is also hard to understand. Instead we get a "starter pack" with a million choices of eyebrows and eyelashes.
As shadowhawk1 said, this release is a train wreck. Poor planning, poor implementation.
LOL I was jsut going to reply about the calling me Shadowhack1 when you corrected it. Hadn't had a good laugh like that since... Well the release of Victoria 9 :D
To be honest, I feel for all the people that bought the pre-release bundle in good faith not knowing what was in it and are now stuck behind a gate as all of those that purchased the same bundle the day of release are getting to use her. I think daz has finally trumped their storefront disaster.
