you're going to have to be a heavy roller with disposable income, not a hobbyist, to buy here pretty soon. Even with all the discount messages the bundles are over my price range.

...yeah been noticing the same over the many years I've been here. particularly recently. PC (now Daz+) items used to be 99¢, now they are approaching 10$ in some cases. Also getting fewer special "PC" discounts like we used to.(also still slightly miffed that they cut the fall Daz+ sale short to introduce G9).

I got the current "We Missed You" banner as well, but like others it only applies to G9 vontent (in this case character bundles which I rarely pruchase).  I have no interest in G9 as I'm on a tight income and am not about to dump hundreds into a new generation (particularly one that was released in what seemed to be a very haphazard manner) and has compatibility issues with previous generations (I like to do a lot of mixing to create more unique custom characters).  Save for two "unique" characters. I have avoided G8.1 as well because of the UV mapping change).

Unless these banner discounts become more "general" in nature, Daz will be "missing me" a lot.

Me too. I don't think I have bought a single G9 item let alone a G9 character. Nor do I intend buying any G9 products because it is just another round of unnecessary expense as G8 does everything I need. However, if i could be sure that G9 clothing is 100% backwards compatible (to G8) then I might buy some, but I am far from convinced.

...I even passed on G9 freebies and Daz+ items. as they'd just take up space on my Daz library drive (and require me to set up a new set of Daz Library categories).

It's another incentive to buy Angela9 Bundles.

I was going to say $5 buy in for 50% doesn't really result in anything being discounted enough (specially comapred to previous prices) for me to want

And there's nothing I want to spend $20 as a buy in to activate that extra percent off, so it's not even worse considering

I'm increasingly getting the idea G9 isn't doing that well with all the G9 offers we are getting in orange banners and such.

I have spend way less than before since the introduction of G9 because of the "New Release" purchase requirements, which usually would require a G9 item. I don't believe I'm the only one.

Add to that the use of "Coupon Codes" for nearly every sale, making it impossible to use one's monthly PC+/DAZ+ "coupons" with them. And keeping the prices for new DAZ+ items mostly $ 0.01 below the $ 5.- thresholt needed to get the "spend $ 5.- for a new item to get x % reduction" deals or so high, that there's no difference to a non-DAZ+ new item anymore. But it on the other hand there's still some old stuff getting given away for (nearly) free somtimes, which makes up most of my "purchases" recently.

Its converting to a Steam model. Where I have 100 games on wishlists, while I currently play games I bought 2 years ago and wait for new games to go on discounts in next 2 years ;p

If that's all we are going to get for the weekend, my wallet can't stop smiling... Maybe I can even manage some upgrades and maintenance to my rig, not to mention trying the new (new old) stuff bought over the last week...

  • Seems I overlooked that sub $40 offer for the Angela Mega Bundle. But hey, wanted to cut down spendings anyhow. My store credit has gone for that promo with highly discounted OoT hair. Guess I wait and see what March Madness might bring.

as you were told last time you made this asertion, PC items started at $1.99 though soem were discounted to $0.99 in the big sales (like the PC Anniversary). Most are well under $9.99, the pricier one this week is a bundle of items that are usable and purchasable on their own.

Also getting fewer special "PC" discounts like we used to.(also still slightly miffed that they cut the fall Daz+ sale short to introduce G9).

As jack made clear, the timings were adjusted so we were not short on items even though the run was shorter.

They used to be $1.99, not $0.99. There were sometimes big sales where a selection was temporarily $0.99, but that has never been their regular price.

And that was in the old Platinum Club, before Daz introduced PC+ in 2013. PC+ items have not been released at that price for almost 10 years now.

That's a Daz+ exclusive item, not a regular Daz+ item. Their pricing model is not the same.

Though I would expect it to have the standard Daz+ discount on Daz Originals on top of (or instead of?) that 25% discount... Not really sure about that.

I think it was mentioned above or in another thread that was a typo and it should just say "Genesis characters"

I was curious a couple weeks ago and added up all my purchases, and what I've spent here in the past five months or so that Victoria 9 was released is pretty much what I'd spend in any given month the past six years. So you are not alone at all for spending way less.

  • :( Got it, thanks Charlie and Sofa!

    Edit; oops forgot a line

it actually has no price for those not DAZ+, we simply cannot buy it

which DAZ obviously thinks is incentive to join but doesn't exactly tantalize me so maybe I don't think like their target customers

    I usually buy stuff because...

    ...you know, I can? wink

  • So, I'm a little confused, maybe... but, it seems that the weekend sale (starting 2/3) is a bit of a mess. Every segment/chunk of the sale has different coupon codes and requirements to trigger the coupon code.

And since you can only use one coupon code at a time, that means that to take advantage of multiple of the weekend coupons, you have to make multiple, separate purchases instead of just being able to do it all at once. And you have to buy different "new" items each time to take advantage of the multiple coupons.

Assuming I've got that right, then... That is frustrating. I'm all for loading up my cart and I love a deal but having to shop multiple, separate times/transactions just to do that is, well, not worth it.

You can also use the same new item to trigger the discounts, paying for it again and again cheeky

DIM got new skin and my eyes are burning. Is there a way to change that back to the old color theme? PLZ !!! I checked the basic and the Advance settings I haven't found anything that would let me change the look/GUI of the DIM.

IMAO It's like going back 20-30 years in the design when we got only 32-bit....

I agree... the gray was more soothing on the eyes.  Maybe Daz wears sunglasses????  lol

They told the designer that they were changing DIM, and the designer decided to fix it by making it bright.

It still incorrect then as Genesis 9 is clearly a "Genesis" and its excluded :P

Yesterday's Got Me Wrapped promo had one deal that even I could understand and appreciate: Pick an item from the queue, use the coupon code, get 90% off. Since it's still valid today, I guess I will. surprise

Sorry, but this is just insane. A 'great DO weekend' and not ONE sale without a massive buy-in? And then TWENTY bucks to get some discounts?! You gotta be kiddin'. I'm outta here for now.

Just a hint to whoever it might concern, there is some G9 stuff I'd actually like to buy, if you only gave me a decent discount on that, and not on whatever bundle you're featuring at this exact moment. Believe it or not, I want to buy what I WANT to buy.
