If I keep the "Recent Discussions" open and open topics in new tabs only one at a time, I can read 3-4 topics before opening another topic in new tab logs me out again.

It's like selecting menu items and/or changing page are the triggers for logging out.

That is what I meant by not asking it to walk and chew gum at the same time - last night I had one spell where I was able to clear a page of recent discussions without logging out, going one post at a time, though i also had spells where it would fail on consecutive pages.

It's still happening. Someone is gone for the weekend. Never make updates to software Friday afternoon then take off.

What update? If it was an update it would have been olled back, most likely. It also started before Friday, so both of your assumptions seem to be incorrect.

I'm a programmer. There is no such thing as a computer glitch. You push the wrong button, write an error in the code, or miss something when testing. Rollbacks are not a given. This has been going on for years, I'm going to bite my tongue at this point.

Which has no connection to your original assertions.

It was working fine for a long time then started again. Someone did something. But I give up, this and the other responses from non-technical people, yeah, I just give up.

DAZ - PLEASE fix this log out problem. I'm getting close to the begging stage. Do we have to beg?

I dunno... I'm kinda enjoying it...

It's exciting to not know when you'll randomly be logged out in the middle of writing something or reading something, or just switching pages... come on people where's your pioneer spirit?... Facing the unknown is what made Homo erectus so successful... look at stupid Australopithecus who just sat there and whined about leopards eating them... where are they now?... footprints in volcanic ash and bones in a museum.

Wait... no, that wasn't where I was going... I dunno, I lost it... maybe buy a lottery ticket or pet a leopard or something...

Fricken sign outs are sooo annoying...

Why is this still a thing? Especially considering they had a fix for it, why not re-apply the fix already? Thankfully the store is not affected...

They thought they had a fix, it didn't work though. As far as I know fixing is still a work in progress, possibly not helped by the need to have two systems integrated (store and forum).

OK, they think they havea real fix this time - certainly I was able to open several tabs inb quicj succession, which hasn't been the case.
