Probably shouldn't drink so much before going to bed.

(Actually most of the tea still exist in the fridge!)

Being Pedantic:  "have drunk".  https://www.thesaurus.com/e/grammar/drink-vs-drank-vs-drunk/ ; had to look it up to be sure.frown

MITYEWTK*:  about past participles.  https://www.fluentu.com/blog/english/past-tense-vs-past-participle/#:~:text=can take anywhere.-,The Difference Between Past Tense and Past Participle,be used on their own.

*MITYEWTK  "More Information Than You Ever Wanted To Know"  Poor example:   My teacher was unhappy with my grammar.  To make my teacher happy I took him out for drinks.  We drank too much.  After having drunk too much we were both drunk and then his grammar was as bad as mine.yes

I asked copilot to make an image of a pet meowing for food.  This is what came up.  What is the best ds model to make this pet?

Complaint:  English grammar:   Like when the operation manual for a household appliance is thicker than a late 20th century phonebook(remember those?), an explanation of an English grammar rule longer than your arm indicates a twisted history.frown

Cat Zeus by Vyusur on Renderhub. Used to be sold here, but now not. But it's the best cat model out there right now.

Duh, finally GROKed it:yes  It's the pronunciation of the word "participle".surprise  WTF is a "participle" anyway?  I've always heard it pronounced as "past parti-SIPAL" or "PARTI-sipal", and it never had any meaning to me as to how it relates to the verb.  But if one pronounces it as "past par-TISIPAL", then it's obvious that it relates to how the subject participated in the action of the verb in the past.  One's previous or past participation.cool  i.e. "have drunk, have vomited, had walked, had been, had snowed ."  Why did my teachers never say that? frown  I'm only 76, what else did I miss in 5th grade English class?sad

  • 2025 isn't my year.

Minor complaint. We had 9" snow & a cold snap. Since we are atop a mountain, that means we've been stuck at home. Been too cold in the living room of our drafty old house to play with Daz. (Bedroom is too small to squeeze laptop & table in with us, 2 dogs, & furniture without dogs knocking it over.)

Major complaint. Only Car has Serious Issue

Minor good news: finally warm enough to visit laptop

It may be the best cat, but I think Hypertaf's Moshi would be a better fit.

Maybe that "participle" has 4 syllables, not 2...divided like:

    par·ti·ci·ple

With emphasis on the first and third syllable.

But I'm just being pedantic. cheeky

Cat Zeus is amazing. Always want to find an excuse to use him. Her Zeus is doing what our Norwegian Forest Cat 'Fluffy' did to me quite often - stuck his head under my chin & purred until my eyeballs bounced in sympathetic vibration.

Not sure about Moshi - too toon-ish for me.

    Regards,

    Richard

That works too.  I had tried that, but it got too complex to type and after the fourth or fifth revision, two megasyllables & no diacritical marks is what I ended up with. blush

On a side note, did you get your pedantacist's convention invitation this year?  I hear that the committee is still arguing over how to address the envelopes.indecision

I do rememebr a supply teacher of British heritage come in for a day and one of the many little gems she imparted was, the often incorrect usuage of "passed" and "past" this side of the pond. This was grade school so way back when.

I ordered a 100% cotton shirt. The shipment was heavily delayed due to the whole fallen sky situation. When it finally arrived, the shirt they sent me was 50% polyester. I waited all that time and it isn't cotton.

Perhaps it's 100% a shirt made with (some) cotton.

    ...complaint:

You Tube was extremely obnoxious tonight.  Usually to clear their advert blocker warning takes a simple refresh of the page, but tonight when i tried to watch my news programmes, it would not relent and kept repeatedly popping up again and again. I ended up having to go into Chrome's incognito mode to watch the news.

It is bad enough one has to pay for net access, but to have to pay another fee on top of that to not have a video interrupted by adverts (usually for products and services I would never pay for) is ridiculous.

At the moment I use Ghostery and ABP together to make YouTube adfree; this works for now.

Complaint:  Shifting realities:  My recent spate of medical problems required that I find a place for new doctor and medical bill paperwork in my desk files.  So I distinctly remember a couple weeks ago searching for a new manila file folder, titling it, and putting it in its proper place alphabetically in my file drawer.yes  Today I finally paid the last bill for my Otorlaryncologist (Ear/Nose/Throat doctor) for all my bloody nose episodes and went to file the paper receipts into the folder, but it wasn't there.  Hmmm... Looked all over in all my file drawers and it was nowhere to be seen.surprise  But OK, it was just an empty folder, so I'll make another.  I went to the drawer where my blank folders were found the last time I made a folder, and none were there.surprisesurprise  Not even a hint that they had ever been there.frown  I looked in all my file drawers again, and again, and there was no pile of virgin folders to be found in the filedrawers, at all.  Hmmm...indecision  I finally unpacked the storage boxes in the cubbyhole under my office shelves and found a partial box of about 30 virgin file folders.  Yay, but I was POSITIVE that I had found about 15 or 20 of them in my file drawers a couple weeks ago.  Mandella effect?  Or did I slide from one meta-universe to another?frown  I don't subscribe to the MetaUniverse theory so the only other conclusion is that I dreamed (or daydreamed) the virgin files folders in my filedrawer.

Additionally, I've got a 3 inch high pile of hospital and doctor bills receipts & paperwork from my heart attack, still on my desk.  I may need to start a new file drawer just for them.frown  And I KNOW that I don't have a spare file cabinet in the cubbyhole under the shelves.cheeky

I ordered a cup of passion tea with light ice.  I got it half full of ice.  I ordered it through the cafe's app for pick up.

I went to ask for a refill of the tea but no ice.  I was told that I had to stay in the store to get refills.  I explained it was a mobile order that I picked up.  I got my refill.  I also got a plate for the bagel I ordered too.  I hate eating out of paper bags.
