    Oooooooo! NIce!

    Playing with new features now...

The new 'show only owned items' checkbox is very nice!  The 'show gallery items/show posts' is also nice!  Great work!

A great use of that is in categories. If you want to see what interiors you have, you just navigate to the Interiors category in the shop, and use this checkbox. That will list all of your interior sets. Do the same for any other category. It's great when you are looking for something to add to your scene.

Are the Gallery image links also manually managed? What are the 'technical problems' that prevent images from being listed? I wonder because just offhand way more than a few images with products listed aren't showing up on a product page (even if there's less than 9 otherwise listed).

There are some images where DAZ does not generate thumbnails that I can show. (I'm not saving and storing gallery images, everything is shown directly from the gallery.)

It is manually managed in the sense that if you notice an image that has totally irrelevant products listed, I can remove that from showing up.

  • Hey, I just wanted to say how helpful your plug has been.  I am going to have to learn how to turn off some of the notifications though, I don't need the application sending me the same promo's DAZ just sent ;)

At the beginning of the day you get the mail from Daz and this one, but Daz is not sending you a mail when a flash sale starts, or when a blink sale starts. And you need to hurry when there's a blink sale. So even though it seems redundant in the morning, it gives you a lot of extra time with the shorter sales during the day.

2.1 for Firefox just showed up for me.

Wow, that was fast! Great news! I wasn't expecting that for at least a few weeks.

Yeah I'm on Firefox as well.  I manually updated as soon as I saw this thread this morning, hence my comments about the new features.

So glad I can get rid of Chrome and go back to Firefox! You must have gained some trust with the folks at firefox to approve it so quickly.

So was I! It actually only took a few *hours* not even one day. Likely, they're optimizing the process more and more in hopes of regaining market share--and I hope they do!

Really glad everyone's enjoying the new features!

Also, the addon is also available for Firefox for Android, but you'll likely need to use the direct link when adding/upgrading:
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/daz-deals/

    Cheers!

Love the new updates! Fantastic work! Thank you!

Yup. You're basically adding the functionality that DAZ's website designers should be building into the site already, to make it feature-competitive with Renderosity.
Which is awesome. They should pay you for your services. ;)

Love those new features, it's really nice to have the forum posts pinpointed as it makes my product showcase thread more easily seen and surfed. There's simply not enough hours in the day to do an index of all the products in the eight threads, and we blow through 100 pages of posts in 3-4 months or sooner. This will make a huge difference to people when they want to see the product in use. And I'm enjoying the galleries too!

Love the new features! This is going to save a lot of Googling and forum searches bringing up unrelated results.

OMG, I love these new features! People really do need to be linking to the products more often. I was surprised to find I'm the only one that linked to Apocolyptic Sun Armor for V3, but then again, I am a V3 junkie, LOL.

EDIT: Maybe it's hit or miss. I've got a bunch of renders and forum references to DarwinsMishap's Diesel for Elijah 7 ( I tested him) but only one shows up from the gallery, so maybe they don't all show up yet. Still an AWESOME addition!

Question time: do any of you use the comments field in your wishlist for anything meaningful?

  • LlynaraLlynara Posts: 4,770

They're awesome, Ati! It makes me never want to leave the store, LOL. Which is probably not good!

I didn't realize there was one...*runs to go look*

EDIT: Ok, that is cool. I never realized it was there. I will start using them now. I use the wishlist all the time because of your add-on. It's pretty much how I shop the blowouts, so my wishlist is huge.

As it turns out, only jpegs show up at this point. PNGs will be added soon.

If you haven't even noticed them before, then don't start using them now. laugh I plan to make them useful. laugh Unless, of course, many people use it for something meaningful, which would surprise me.

Ah, that totally makes sense. I've posted many straight renders, in PNG. Only the postworked ones would show up then, since I save those in JPG. It's a briiliant plugin and the new features totally rock.

Ok, I'll wait for you to give the word wink I'm sure you and Overdrawn will do something very clever it.

It's still incredibly powerful to be able to pull up user images of a product, plus mentions on the threads. It's amazing that you can do that and it doesn't seem to slow things down (at least not here, today- I'm on metered satellite internet, so I'd definitely notice.)

I plan to make a "multiple wishlist" feature. Or labels, or whatever you want to call it. Basically you will be able to categorize your wishlist items. Either as "hair", "character", "indoors", etc; or a "NEED THIS ASAP!" list. :)

You could have 1000 products in the wishlist, but you might have 20 that you want soon. You will be able to very quickly filter only those 20, and see at a glance if they are on sale.

Depends on what you consider meaningful:) I use my comments for the date something comes out, to note if something is Connect only, and occasionally for other comments (like some dinosaurs I put in there with "don't buy - already have from Rendo")
